I will never take my pets anywhere else. Dr. Jackie Tegarden is my dog Lillas main vet. My dog is a bit nervous and Jackie always manages to make her more comfortable as well as always takes the time to answer my millions of questions. I never feel rushed and always feel as if my dog is being well looked after. She has been Lillas main vet for about three years now, Dr. Audrey White has also helped with Lillas care in the past and has been wonderful too. Jackie has also been the vet I have used for my rabbit Bun Bun. Bun Bun developed an infection that Jackie helped me fight for months. Even recommended me to a exotic pet specialist when the time came for more specialized help. Unfortunately Bun Bun recently lost that battle and we had to put her down. It was a hard thing for us since we loved her some much. I was feeling rather blue over the situation when a few days ago I received a card in the mail from the Alder Creek Clinic, It was very touching they even ALL signed it. It meant a great deal to me. Dr. Mary Anne Hardy even helped me out once when one of my ducks cut her foot and I couldnt get it to stop bleeding. She was great with my duck and I would recommend her to anyone with a bird. I live in Vancouver now and even though there are many close vets to our new home Lilla and any other pets we have will always go to Alder Creek its worth the drive to us. The entire staff is wonderful. The front desk greets you with a smile and is always very helpful. I love seeing their dogs who are always sprawled out behind the counter. Not all vets are good vets. I worked for a vet years ago, that job only lasted a few months because I couldnt stand the way he treated the animals. To him they where just a means of making money. If you love your pet as much as I love mine you know how important it is to find a vet who cares. These are diffidently pet people! And they diffidently care!

The only good thing I have to say is that they squeezed my dog in at the last minute for an emergency visit. My dog is very scared when he is around new people and none of the staff members seemed to know how to respond to a frightened dog making the situation worse. They seemed to be afraid of him because he is a large dog. He is a lab and they treated him as if he were a vicious pit bull. They asked me to leave the room to see if he would be more relaxed so I did. Nobody ever told me the visit was over. My husband notified me by phone that he was taking our dog to the car. This was a shock to me as Dr. White had walked past me in the hall and never mentioned this. I was told that his blood work would be back the following day. I called in to check since I had not heard back and was told "your dogs blood work is fine you can call back if you have any more questions." I am still stuck with a huge question, obviously there was something wrong with my dog we would not have taken him in just to get his blood drawn for no reason. Since this was an emergency visit I was unprepared to pay for the service which would have been fine since their paperwork and signs say over $100 visits can be paid through a payment plan. Apparently this is not true as I had to pay the balance before I left. The next time there is a problem I will be making the 30 minute drive to a better vet in Vancouver. I will never have any of my animals back in this place.

I cant begin to express our appreciation for the staff at Alder Creek Vet. Over the years we have seen Dr. Tegarden, Dr. Haggarty, and Dr. White for everything from routine appts for immunizations and temporary illness, to an emergency cesarean and resuscitation of pups, to the sadness & pain of our pets end of life. They have always been thorough in their assessments and treatment, kind, compassionate and reasonable in their approach to treatments, laying out options and explaining them, and not judging our decisions. They are all great!! On 2 different occasions they have waited after hours to provide care for my pet and involved our entire family in the birth of pups by cesarean and most recently in having to put down our 11 yr old family member. Dr. White is extremely patient, empathetic and so kind. She waited after hours while we went home and got the kids so they could spend some time with our dog, say goodbye and patiently walked us through the whole process of putting our dog to sleep. She was asking the kids about their memories, and made a really sad time as good as it could be. Thank you!! I find their prices to be extremely reasonable especially in comparison to other clinics. Ive been their a lot and occasionally may wait 15min but usually not and honestly, their worth the wait!

We are new to the area and needed to establish veterinary care for our doodle and Bernese Mtn Dog. We took the Bernie in first, since he was kinda whiny. They were able to schedule a new patient visit and evaluation within 48 hours of our call. The staff was very nice and experienced. The clinic was a little off the beaten path, but that was good--just in case there was an escaped patient (no busy traffic to deal with). We saw Dr. Smith, and she was very pleasant and quite animated. Very personable, and you could tell she likes big dogs. She spent about 45 minutes with us and Cooper, and told us all about the local environment and what to look out for and what not to worry about. Oh, and their clinic looks brand new and definitely top-shelf. The grounds were also very well maintained--there was even a water-feature for Cooper to walk in while outside :) Prices were about average, but I think youre getting a lot for what you pay for. No unnecessary tests, drugs, etc. Overall, we were very happy with the care and would recommend this place to our friends!

I am giving them five stars because they saved my rabbits life. My rabbit had an intestinal block (I think from self-grooming and him eating too much of his long hair). He was very sad and hid in the corner, he wasnt eating or pooping so i knew something was wrong. They say if a rabbit acts like that, they could be dead within 24 hours. I was absolutely devastated and felt like my world was crashing down. I brought him to Alder Creek Veterinary with the understanding that he may not live through the day and you cant begin to imagine the anguish I felt. Whatever they prescribed him got his intestines working and he was able to use the bathroom again and eat. So I am forever grateful for them helping us... he is still alive years later and we know now to keep his fur short so he doesnt get hair balls. I really feel if I hadnt taken him in, he would not be with us today. Also the price was affordable, although I would have done anything to make him live and feel better. So thank you, Alder Creek.
