BUTCHERS. One of my dogs is dead and the other had all her teeth ripped out without permission. We take them in for regular check ups and they never mentioned a very obvious irregular heartbeat. Her heart had grown so big it filled her lung capacity so she couldnt breath, they told us she was just lazy and needed to get more exercise. When she eventually collapsed at home from this condition they have been ignoring the hospital refused to see us and tried to schedule us a week out. We went anyways and demanded they do something. She died on the table and when they made a print of her paw in her dying moments they put the wrong name. AND we took our other dog in for a simple teeth cleaning and they pulled TWELVE of her teeth without confirming with us then tried to charge us $1,200 for it! She can no longer chew bones and has to be on wet food for the rest of her life. Her canine teeth were included and it changed her face shape. She was completely healthy and there was no need to disfigure my dog and alter her life forever. When we asked for answers and apologies they gave us sass and tried to brush us aside. I volunteered here as a kid and saw them put down healthy dogs for people that didnt want them and help breeders by not reporting abuse. I saw an 11 month puppy go into surgery because her body was too small to give birth and the owner only cared about how much they would get for each puppy, nothing was reported only supported. Find an office that cares about anything besides money.

The worst if I could give zero stars I would. If you want to be charged out the ass, treated like crap and dont give a damn about your fur babies, then by all means you should go here. Learning the hard way has made me drive an hour away just to go to a reputable animal hospital that actually cares about me and my loved ones. Our children deserve better, we deserve better. If we are paying so damn much for office visits and lab work, then we should be provided with all information, and when we ask our vet what kind of food should we feed our dog, they shouldnt be able to say, "well I cant tell you that Im not a nutritionist" Or when I ask why is my dog licking himself bloody, I should not be told, "I dont know why, maybe you should go get him a puppy" Why so I can pay for more bullshit office visits where nobody can tell me a damn thing. What are we paying for????? All of this has happened to me at this place in the past 3 years, plus many other experiences, I have given them plenty of chances. We just have to remember they are not just our pets, they are family too.

I bring my ferret to the small animals specialist, Dr. Jeremiah, who obviously cares very deeply about the animals (Ive seen her baby talk to a very cantankerous hedgehog) and is sensitive to the concerns of the owners as well. When Elly developed lymphoma, Dr. Jeremiah provided us with a list of options as well as her personal recommendation every step of the way. (Her personal recommendation was not always the costliest one either) We opted for surgical removal of the tumor. When the ferret developed another lump, we scheduled another office visit. Dr. Jeremiah called us and told us to save our money on the office visit, and just prescribed a treatment over the phone. This treatment worked and our ferret has been blissfully cancer free for months. I dont think I could recommend a vet more highly.

I have used this clinic a couple times. I really like Dr. Schulz. He seems to really care about my animals and really consider what is going on with them. I have also been seen by another Dr. there who also seemed pretty pleasant. My gripe with this place is the poor quality of service I receive at the reception desk and via phone. The reception girls always seem like space cadets and any time I have called I always get put on hold for like 5 minutes. It seems like they could do a better job in their choosing their office staff.

Steamboat Animal Hospital has a long history of providing progressive and modern medicine for your family pet. In my experience as a client, I have had my dog boarded, groomed, had medical procedures and treatments. The staff is well tenured with several team members having been on staff for 15+ years! If you are looking for compassionate care and a dedicated veterinary team, I highly recommend Steamboat Animal Hospital!

If you are going in to have your dog looked at I would recommend Dr. Hook. She is so nice, explains to me everything that makes sense, and gets the ball rolling. Plus this Animal Hospital is different from all the others. This Hospital actually cares about animals and what they are going through. I havent got that yet from any where else. I totally recommend this place!

I was so lucky to find a vet open on Sunday. My dog was hit by a car and in really bad shape. They got me in fast and took really good care of her. She was in the hospital for a week and the veterinarian called and kept me updated the whole time and set up a room to visit her. Thank you so much, Kelli and I really appreciate all that you do!

Met Dr Capsey today & he got down on the floor to help Edgar get over his fear of the stethoscope! Einstein loved him immediately! Weve had very good care whenever weve gone in, & they have been kind & compassionate when weve had to take our old, ailing pets in for their final visit. Dr Murray is another favorite there.

Great office staff, but I wasnt impressed with the vet we saw. He seemed dismissive of our concerns about our dog, and as we found out at a different vet he was completely wrong in his diagnosis. 3 stars because I only saw the one vet, and maybe hes the only one that sucks. Plus, the women at the desk are very nice.

My dog was shot and when we brought him in they were on it quickly. They treated him with care and were on top of things. Not only did they care about our dog but the staff showed concern for me as well. Everyone was with us every step of the way. I will continue to use this vet

Theyre really busy, and dont seem to have enough staff to answer phones and check the animals in and out. Super expensive on top of that.
