Botched root canal. They didnt tell me they werent going to place a temporary crown to protect my root canal after doing it. I paid close to a $1,000 for this procedure and I dont make a lot of money. The dentist laughed at me when I said I needed to check my work schedule before scheduling an appointment. I just got off the phone with him and he was dismissive about my questions. I brushed my teeth this morning and pieces of the filling came out, which wouldnt have happened if they placed a temporary crown on my tooth in between the time it takes for an actual crown to come back from the lab. Makes no sense at all, absolutely none. So now, I have a fragile stump of a tooth in my mouth with no way of protecting it. I feel like they took advantage of me, my time, and my money. I got better treatment at the low income dentist than at this place. Instead of this office, try finding a dentist or root canal specialist that actually explains what they are going to do and why instead of finding out after youve paid so much money to have your tooth essentially set up to shatter after BRUSHING YOUR TEETH. Also he was arguing with his dental technician while I was in the chair, eventually asking for a different one to come in and finish. I just have no more words for a dentist that thinks its okay to leave a root canal uncovered in between visits. I have literally never heard of this in my life. Its like they want my tooth to break so I have to come in and get it extracted and pay them more money. I should get a refund for this. All $950 that I paid out of pocket and the $100 for the first visit.

all you guys are lying??? I made a appintment almost a month ago. I have a cheap insurnce WA Delta Care??. we have to wait till new month begin to get a new dentist. Unfortunately I called the insurance at Aug 2 so I had to wait til September. Before that I had called Dr. Sam Kims office to make confirm if they accept my insurnce. Anyway after I reported to my insurace company that I had a dentist then I made a appointment at 9:15 AM of Sep 2 with the dentist alsmost a month ago. Sep 1, just one day before the day.. They called me twice after 5 pm for confirm and ask contact to their office!! Im working 2nd shift in Boeing factory. it is not easy to answer phone and unfortunately I was busy and in meeting. After meeting I received a message from them so I left a message Dont worry I will be there by 9:30 AM haha When I got Kims office after through the heavy traffic and got up eeaar~~~ly in the morning. Kim said I had to confirm by 6 pm in English. at the begining I couldnt understand what he said!!! My appointment was canceled because I didnt answew their call in ONe hour before their office close. I told Kim I left a message. He said they dont know about my message for opening his office 9 AM!! Forget it I dont want writ and spend my energy about this trash!! But I just wonder why they did it??? for my cheap WA Delta Care??? They have to that?? You guys are happy with a good dentist??? Might you can die if you have a cheap insurance?? I just wonder....

After several attemps to pull our daughters front tooth at home...we decided to take her to the dentist. I found SDK dental care on google and made an appointment online for Sat immediately. Wow am I glad i did! Usually I end up with my legs wrapped around her body and two people holding her head and arms...Well...Jenny and Brit really know how to handle kids. It took them sometime but they calmed her down. I was hesitant to book appointment when I realized dentist was male. My daughter doesnt do well with male dentist....you know with big hands. But i was totally blown away at how calm my daughter was throughtout the entire visit. Dr. Sam Kim spent quite some time to explain to my daughter about everything he was going to do...including giving her local anesthesia. The entire process was so smooth! I asked my daughter how she felt and she told me "I was scared at first but he didnt hurt me like other dentist". Well...I guess well be back for future dental treatments. Im actually due for cleaning and whitening!

I know Dr. Sam DK Kim about one year, and I am glad that I found him. I had everything from a deep teeth cleaning to a root canal/ implant placement procedure done with him and his staff. Dr. Sam DK Kim provides really top notch dental care for those who really care about their teeth. He uses all latest tools and new technology, is gentle on the teeth, and encourages good dental practices. Above and beyond the excellent dental care, I was really impressed by all of the staff (receptionist Jenny and assistants). They never keep you waiting, and stick to their appointments very well. Also, if you need, you can have appointment on Saturday! The clinic is new and very pleasant. Dr. Sam DK Kim makes sure you understand the possible costs before going ahead with procedures and doesnt push you at all. He is also pretty good about explaining whats about to happen and why and will answer questions thoroughly. If youre looking for a good dentist in Renton, I definitely recommend checking out this practice.

A couple months ago i was in Wash. for work; for a few weeks ive been ignoring a slight toothache and more bleeding than normal when brushing. Halfway into my week, i realized i had a consistent salty taste in my mouth - after a meeting I went to wash my mouth only to realize ive been bleeding, apparently every time i bit down - it bled... Being out of state, i called around everywhere and i couldnt get a last minute appointment without interrupting my work. I found Dr. Kim via a friend and after some research found his office location and took a cab out, after an hour, he got the bleeding to stop and patched me up nicely. I had surgery done when i got back to SF (it required multiple trips); i told my doctor that i got lucky out of state, he told me i was lucky to find a good doctor out of state considering how long i havent seen a dentist (7 yrs..). Had a great, professional experience with Dr. Kim. Saved me a horrible time and probably saved my job in the process.

I knew it was going to be bad; I hadnt visited a dentist in several years and have weak teeth. I think I was more scared about the cost than the upcoming pain. Dr kim did a thorough examination with x-rays and photos and insisted on talking me through and showing me exactly why it was bad. It wasnt as expensive as I was expecting, but he still made me look at the photos and we discussed lifestyle changes to look after my teeth. Very professional and caring. And their amazingly friendly office manager, then spent more than 30 minutes with me breaking down the treatment plan into affordable chunks. That level of service has continued a year later. I received follow-up calls after the nasty stuff and Dr kim gave up a lunch break to fit in an emergency appointment for a toothache. I feel I should hate going to the dentist, but with this team its actually enjoyable.
