I called all around in Tacoma and this vet was the only one to carry COMFORTIS. Its the absolute best for fleas and its new and costs no more than the traditional frontline and advantage. I moved here in July and when I was in desperate need of services the Affordable Pet Hospital was able to work me in right away and it was a positive experience and I ended up spedning $700 on my 2 pets in September. Now I inquired to them about Comfortis and they refused to write a script or call it in. They dont carry it and they actually wanted me to waste my money and my dogs continued misery on the spot on treatments that I already told them dont work. I told them I would take my business elsewhere. North End Vet had COMFORTIS in stock and sells it monthly or in 6 month packs. They were sympathetic to my situation. Did not try to exploit my needs and make me pay an office visit. They were super busy so obviously they have a good following. Building looks tiny and old but it appears to be huge inside and new but looks old and quaint. Ill be going there for future vet needs and updating my feedback accordingly. Thx, J

Pill Pushers (was given a HUUUUUGE packet of material on medications and many lectures on the importance of buying these products through them), Money Grubbers (they will run every little test they can possibly think of wether your pet needs it or not) & will treat you like an idiot (Im smart, I make my dogs food/treats organically, my pet was insured before I got him and is extremely well cared for). Their care/concern for the wellbeing of your pet only goes as far as your wallet. Any opportunity to make that $ off you seems to be their VERY FIRST concern. I suggest just being smart, know your pet and his/her needs before going in there or they will charge you excessively any and every opportunity they can. Since my pet is insured, the majority of funds get back to me, so please understand this review is based off principle and not coming from someone that simply cant afford to have a pet. I wouldnt recommend this place.

Let me just say one thing: Do NOT bring rats to this office. Dogs and cats may be different, but overall I did not appreciate the care that was give to my rats. They were grabbed wrong and when I spoke to the doctor, it was as if he didnt have the time and didnt understand what I was saying. My rat has respiratory infections, but he wouldnt do anything about it until I gave him proof. What the hell? If your dog has a seizure, you sure as hell wont need proof! I am never bringing my rats here. Aside from that, they seemed very pet friendly with dogs and the vets assistant was quite respectful and nice. And my rats have cuts all over their bodies from mites, but said the didnt show symptoms. I am not even sure if he was an exotic pet doctor, but unless you want to be charged for his vague opinion, do not even try here with rats.

Not going back.. I have 3 cats, and like most cat owners, they are my children. So I was rather bothered by a vet clinic when I felt that the staff didnt seem to care about my cats at all and the vet treated me like I didnt care enough. Its a pretty busy place, and the vet tech / reception staff seemed very assembly line toward me. In, check this, check that, get out, next! Dr Vollmar lectured me for improper pet care, since I leave food down all day for my 3 cats instead of giving them measured portions (one cat is obese). Plus, I was pressured into paying for x-rays and other treatments I really couldnt afford, for a condition they were never able to diagnose. 18 months and many visits later, I found a new vet. North End Pet Hospital was very expensive, almost double of what Im paying for treatments at my new vet.

In an effort to get worm pills for my cat, rather than visit my regular vet in another town, I opted to swing by North End Pet Hospital. I was shocked to hear she was charging my credit card $43.00 for 3 tablets. Walking out the door I phoned my vet, who said I would be charged less than $18.00 for 3 - including tax. I turned around and walked in to ask if I could return the meds (it had been 4 minutes since Id left the office) but was told no, because in that time frame I could have tampered with the pills. Do they seriously think their "customer service" is worth an extra $25.00? Not this time ...and there wont be a next time.

We have 3 dogs and 1 cat, all four of which are patients of The North End Pet Hospital. The Staff is friendly and compassionate. You can tell that they really love the work they do. The Veterinarians have all been very helpful and have never made us feel as though our options were limited to their suggestions. They broke things down as priority care items, would be helpful, and can wait. Some places make you feel as though everything is a do or die. Our dogs enjoy the treats and caring staff....you cant put a price on this kind of service. Give them a try and see for yourself!

Well... I have been taking both, my dogs and cats to North End Pet Hospital since 1993. Dr Dudley (owner), Dr. Brown, and Dr Vollmer associate doctors are the absolute best! Gotta give Dr. Brown extra props cuz he has been my girl Honeys Doc for quite some time. About 14 years now and treats her like the princess she is! Spendy, eh...all health care is costly. If you own animals or should I say four legged family members, and you want great treatment, North End Pet Hospital is the place. Also the entire staff is awesome! Thank you all!

Ive been bringing my pets to NE Pet Hospital for about 15 years. Ive never had to look any further for quality care, competitive prices or great customer service. Very recently I had to have my sweet cat put to sleep. Dr. Brown, Dr. Dudley, Jesse and the entire staff were so kind. They helped us through this heartbreaking ordeal with the utmost compassion and care. The following day I received a rose and card from the hospital. This touched me more than I can express in this little review. I highly recommend North End Pet Hospital.

They failed to detect my cats disease after we took him in out of specific concerns, and they gave him vaccinations on an already weakened immune system - I have heard from others and Im telling you now, this pet hospital is not competent enough to deserve your trust and its certainly not worth the risk and pain weve suffered. Research adult vaccinations too - not necessary for healthy indoor cats after one year - its a money-making scheme - North End Pet Hospital is much more expensive than necessary and not worthy of its name.

BEST Vet clinic in town! All staff members are warm, welcoming and loving with you and your pets! All three vets rock but Dr. Brown is AMAZING! They take their time and even get down on the ground with your pet! Very thurough, gentle and passionate! The actual VET does follow up calls, not a desk clerk! Never going anywhere else! It is a bit pricey but you really do get what you pay for! No rushing through the appointment either! Awesome clinic! Apart of the family now!
