My experience at Dr Hurst’s office was not satisfactory in any respect. I arrived to my 11AM appointment on 4-18-16 at 10:50am, was instructed to complete the requisite paperwork, which I completed and turned in straight away. 40 minutes later at approximately 11:40, I was taken back to an exam room, changed into an exam robe expecting full body exam. 10 minutes later, around 11:50, Dr Hurst came in, asked me what I was here for, which I answered, full body exam. Dr Hurst only looked at or examined my face, not any other part of my body. I asked him directly “do you want to examine any other parts of my body”, he quipped, “everything else is OK”. How can he be so dismissive or draw that conclusion with even looking??? So, follow a very short facial exam, he advised freezing 5 spots on my face, which he did, gave me a proscription, and was done. This whole interaction took less than 15 minutes!!!! Three weeks later, 4 of the 5 spots that were frozen have reappeared – so I have to go to another dermatologist to try to have them addressed property. I had to pay $283.22 directly before I left the office – for a 15 minute exam / treatment!!!. I was told when I was paying the bill, that the payment represents the “agreed charges” are with United Healthcare, and I should not see any follow-up bill. I was expecting a full body exam, got a cursory face only exam, followed by a 5 spot freeze treatment that I now have to have re-treated by another dermatologist as Dr. Hurst’s treatment was not complete or successful. Admittedly, I feel a bit ripped off for having spent a total of 15 minutes with a medical professional and now have to schedule further care from another dermatologist in order to receive the proper care (true full body exam) and treatment any exam may require. Sadly, I would classify my experience as feeling like I was in a “mill”, with little genuine interest in the patients. It is obvious my experience with Dr Hurst office was not as I had hoped or expected. I’d request a full refund if I had any hopes of recovering.

VERY POOR. I had an appointment for service. It was a follow up appointment. On the first visit I presented my insurance card. Between visits I had upgraded my policy. My new card had not yet arrived, but my provider gave me the policy number, my group number, and their phone number in case any questions came up. The Center refused service, asking robotically for the card. When I explained, they refused to call Blue Cross to verify my account, even when I wrote down the policy number. I followed up with my provider and he told me that hed never heard of this happening before, and that this has been done many times (apparently in more professional circumstances). There are better alternatives and I am moving on from this shabby treatment.

My husband has not had issues with the actual dermatologists here but the nurse staff were extremely unprofessional the last time he went there. As he was leaving his exam room, he overheard one of the nurses (amongst a group of them standing around together) say "he is coming out now" followed by snickers and laughter. Needless to say he will not be going back to this office. We are very disappointed with this type of behavior.

I highly recommend Center for Dermatology in Martinsburg WV. My family and I have seen Dr. Hurst on multiple occasions over the past 6 years. Whether it is acne, eczema, wart removal or an annual skin screening, he is consistently professional, pleasant and thorough. He always takes the time to address every question and concern we have. Minimal wait time and the staff is courteous and friendly.

I just had my first ever appointment with Dr. Hurst and his staff. The center is clean. Minimal wait time. He and his staff were very cordial and professional. He explained everything to me and what treatment he suggested which was done efficiently. I was in and out feeling good about my experience. I would highly recommend Dr. Hurst to my family and friends!

Dr. Hurst knew what he was doing, he got me in and out very quickly. He came highly recommended from my family doctor who actually went there for his wife. If I ever need to go to a dermatologist it will be him.

This office is amazing. Quick access off of 81 so getting to and from was a breeze. The staff and Doc are family friendly and professional. I would recommend Doctor Hurst or any dermatology needs.
