I recently moved to Madison and was looking for a new dentist. Dentistry for Madison had good reviews so I tried it out this morning. The building is clean and it appears that theyve done a lot of remodeling. This was one of my more pleasant visits to the dentist. Mary, my hygienist, was efficient, and had a clear understanding of insurance when there was some confusion over old X-rays that hadnt made their way from my old dentist. She also explained everything she was doing, and made sure I was okay with it before she did it. They seem to have pretty advanced technology (digital X-rays, appointment services, etc), and the best part was that they automatically printed a quote for a filling Im getting next week. I briefly spoke with my dentist, Dr. Karls, who was very personable...well see how she fares as a dentist next week!

Sending my daughter back to college after just having her wisdom teeth extracted was a concern; we worried about the dreaded "dry sockets". Well, we got the text from her at 5:00am ...she was in lots of pain and hadnt slept most of the night. That morning I called several dentists in the area of the University; Dr. Hazen and his staff showed that "can do" attitude from the start! They worked with her schedule and theirs to get her in quickly. She called as she walked out of the office saying she wanted her records sent to Dr. Hazens office; she said they were helpful, professional and very friendly...my impression exactly from my phone conversation. No more trying to schedule dentist appointments when shes home on breaks...shell be taking care of that in Madison for the next four years.

Dr. Hazen told me that I needed to get several crowns on my molars because the teeth had fractures. I was highly skeptical because I had just seen a very good dentist a few months previously who had taken X-rays and saw no fractures. Then, I sought two additional independent examinations from two other dentists who both said that I absolutely did not need crowns, and also saw no fractures. I went back to Dr. Hazen 6 months later, and he said my teeth looked fine, and made no mention of crowns. Dr. Hazen is definitely charming and has nice equipment. However, I looked at the X-rays myself, taken three times by three independent doctors within 6 months, and did not see fractures, either.

I visited Dentistry for Madison on Wednesday for my toothache. Dr. Karls took a look at my teeth and my X-ray, and, after I explained to her what I heard from the dentistry that I previously visited, she said that she agreed with my previous dentist that one of my wisdom teeth was causing the trouble and should be extracted. I got her referral and have had the tooth extracted. So far everything seems well. Dr. Karls was very nice and professional during the entire process. I would recommend her to anyone who needs to see a dentist.

Dr. Hazen is hands down the best cosmetic dentist in the greater Madison area. After two years of visits, I have yet to have any issues with Dr. Hazen or his staff. When my retainer broke, they got me in the next day and had the replacement ready the day after that! My implant, perfect in both shade and shape, sits camouflaged in between the real teeth. The staff was friendly, the work was phenomenal, the price was competitive. What more could you ask for?

Id been to many dentists in Madison over the years, found a good one (Dr. Bergstrom), and followed her to Dentistry for Madison. What a great place: friendly, efficient, and a *consistent* group of personnel. The later is one major difference between D4M and sweatshop muliti-office clinics like First Choice. The other is that those places are very quick to advise filling$. D4M takes a more conservative and professional approach.

Ive been a patient with Dr. Hazens practice for almost 20 years. He and Dr. Karls are both great dentists and a great people. Their staff always has the latest technologies and tools, and they all offer sound, practical advice on dental hygiene. They are conveniently located just a few blocks from the Capitol. Their new waiting area remodel looks great too! I recommend them to everyone I know who is looking for a new dentist.

I realized and called, an hour after I should have been there, and was most impressed at how forgiving a reception I got. My ten-year-old daughter enjoys coming here, which speaks volumes! Not only are Dr. Hazen and Dr. Bergstrom both quite patient and talented, they and their staff exude friendliness and familiarity. I always ask for headphones; they plug them into a television so I can listen to the drone of CNN as opposed to the drone of dental implements.
