I have a dog that was being treated here for shar pei fever that turned into vasculitis and toxic shock that can be deadly! I was monitoring her closely and noticed her skin split open and contacted the 24 hour on call number(twice) with no answer....I didnt receive a call back until morning and she told me she turns her phone off when she goes to bed....so why say you have a 24 hour after hours line? I rushed there in the morning and gave the vet the protocol to treat and he followed and did a good job helping our girl which I was happy about but when she was discharged I was told if we saw the area swell up or spread we she should be seen right away. Since the vet told me that they dont see a lot of shar peis I decided to contact our breeder about what was going on and she said she didnt agree with the meds or dosage they gave. Im completely aware that she is only a breeder and not a vet but to be sure my husband contacted another vet just to get a second opinion and ease our minds. This second vet office contacted new richmond vet for the records and called us back and confirmed that the meds and treatment was the correct way to treat what my dog had. The following day the infected area had swollen very large so I emailed photos to new richmond vet and called the front desk to ask for the vet to call me. I never heard from him. I called back later only to be told he left for the day and that he emailed me instead! The email said that she needed to be seen that day and he faxed records to the new vet and that they could help me now. Wtf? Thanks for deciding where I should bring my dog...or at least telling me not to come back there. I brought my dog to the other place and saw what it was like to be treated with sympathy, compassion and understanding for our situation. I am not someone who leaves bad reviews often if at all but when it comes to the care of our furry FAMILY members I feel others would benefit from knowing this story.

The prices were good and the receptionists were very friendly. Overall the place was good however there was one major thing I did not like about it. I came to pick up my cats after getting the laser de-claw surgery done. The vet was very impatient. For some reason, instead of using a scissors to cut off a tuff of fur from my cats back, she decided to use an electric razor. Well it scared my cat and he jumped right off the table, opened up the wounds on his paws and was bleeding on the floor. The vet was immediately irritated, and lost her patience as the cat became frightened. I understand mistakes happen and animals can be a little unpredictable, but the way the vet handled the situation was just irritating. I was going to comfort my cat, but since the cat and I were in front of the door to the back area, the vet, Tracy, snapped at me. Some time to let the poor cat calm down at least would have been nice. Perhaps my cats and I caught them on a bad day..?

After getting told there is nothing our normal vet can do for us on a Saturday morning for an emergency call, we called around and New Richmond Veterinary Clinic was the only non-emergency vet clinic we found willing to take a look at our dog. Dr. Christine made room immediately for us once we explained the situation and after finding mange symptoms also made room to bring in our other pets on the same day. We were treated with such kindness and professionalism, I am amazed and so grateful. Dr. Christine even took the time to be patient and work with our dog is terrified of vets and clinics and normally needs to be sedated. I would highly highly recommend this vet!!!

I travel from Minnesota with my two cats and two dogs to this Vet. Clinic, for the past five years. I have been very happy with the excellent service and very caring staff. Both my daughter and son also bring their pets to this clinic. I have also recommended them to my many "animal" friends. I have unfortunatly had to say "goodbye" to my 19 year old cat there.... The staff was very, very caring , which meant a lot to me... Prices are very reasonable and I will continue to put my "trust" in them to care for my VERY SPECIAL fur babies........ Thank you

I would not recommend this clinic. I took my dog in to be fixed and ended up charged an additional $50. They told me it was because she was in heat. She was NOT in heat which is why she was brought in when she was. They were also aware that I had to take a loan to have this procedure done, therefore not able to incur additional expenses. But, they over charged me and lied to me anyways. I have had dogs all my life as well as bred them and I know when my dog is in heat. Not all of us are gullible fools.

The best veterinary clinic...I have a 14 years old Chihuahua diagnosed with pyometra and needed a surgery right away everywhere I called they were book without offering any other solution or referring to another vet. I called NR Vet and they immediately help me. Brought my dog in right away and she was taken care, her surgery went well and the nurse was so kind and patience explaining the process she went through. Very affordable prices and very professional. My Princess is back home. Thank you!

BEST VET! My pet has some persistent health issues. Have tried other vets in the area and none were very helpful. This vet has tried a number of different treatments that have been very effective. In addition, this vets rates were much better than what I paid at the other facilities. The office staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. Drive almost a half hour to get to this vet and it is worth the drive. Wont take my pets anywhere else.

This is the best vet I have every had! The prices are reasonable. The staff are super for service, friendliness, support and caring. The vet is the best! He is knowledgable, does well with your pet. Animals seem to trust him. I would highly recommend this place. Your pets will be treated with dignity and respect.
