I was visiting from out of town and developed a toothache. Went to see Dr Olsen who recommended a root canal for a lower back molar. Performed the procedure in a rushed manner, drilling before I was sufficiently anesthetized. Because it was a lower molar, by the time he finished the painful procedure, my entire lower jaw was numb, so i couldnt tell if he addressed the bad tooth or not. When the procedure was over, I paid him $800 and left. Told I would need to buy a crown, I decided to wait until I returned home and use a temporary filling he placed. When the anethethtic wore off, I realized the pain that prompted my initial visit had returned. I called Dr Olsen who said that can happen sometimes but now I needed to see him in the Trempeleau office. Having already invested in this guy, I went to his other office 30 min away where he told me I had a second molar that needed a root canal. I then asked why he hadnt mentioned this at our first visit and how it was that I could have two bad teeth when the pain had just started 2 days prior and never having had problems with either tooth before? His answer was less than convincing. Telling me that the two teeth were so close together he couldnt tell which one was affected and that happens sometimes. I have since come to learn from a more intelligent dentist, that my experience should not have occurred and he should have been able to tell by the X-rays and exam the exact tooth involved. Having the same tooth pain a day later and $800 less to my name, dr Olsen convinced me that the second molar needed a root canal at another $800 charge. I reluctantly paid...and again in his trempeleau office experienced what I can only describe as assault. Within a minute of injecting my jaw (to numb by bottom teeth) he was drilling. As I flinched and grimaced in pain, he continued drilling. I felt he was punishing me for questioning his judgement and perhaps rushed because I insisted he see me the day after the first painful root canal. My tooth only became sufficiently numb as I was leaving his office. My wife, who grew up in onalaska and recommended Dr Olsen was equally appalled at the lack of care or concern. Its clear he made a mistake in drilling on the wrong tooth the first time yet offered no apology or discount and in my opinion took his frustration out on me causing further pain and personal expense. I also had to buy two crowns at over $1000 each and Im convinced I only needed one if he did the procedure on the correct tooth the first time. I return to onanalska often to visit family. As I drive by his office on Main Street, I am reminded of the awful experience with Dr Olsen and discourage anyone from supporting his business.

Dental Clinic of Onalaska is not a place I will be going back to, ever. They have a long wait time after being checked in, long wait time after sitting you in a chair, painful cleanings - even for somebody to brushes and flosses regularly, and they are not part of the PDP for my insurance company - which I did not find out until after my appointment, of course. I have been to them 4 difference times now, each time hoping to have a better experience than the last, but still not being satisfied once leaving. They are not very hospitable and I felt they were more concerned about me paying my bill, then about working with me to understand the bill, and keeping me as a customer. Dr. Olsen was nice, and the office was clean, but those are not things that are going to keep me going back when compared to the negative aspects I have personally experienced. I will not go back.

I just got back from the Dental Clinic of Onalaska with my daughter. They were amazing!! From the minute we walked in the door the staff made us feel at ease with their compassionate demeanor. My daughter has had bad experiences in the past so she was nervous. The hygientist really took the time to make her feel at ease. Dr. Olsen came in after the cleanings for her check up and really impressed me with his professionalism and way with kids. The office is beautiful (good magazines too!!) Thanks so much to the staff at Onalaska Dental office!! Our family will be back!

I worked for Dr Olsen, side by side, for 10 years and he is by far the best dentist I have ever seen. I have moved 3 yrs away and my husband and I continue to have Dr. Olsen as our dentist. He has done veneers and an implant and both have turned out perfect. I receive many compliments on both. He takes more time than most to make you comfortable and relaxed. He uses a magnified camera to take pictures ensure toeverything is clean and perfect. NOBODY else does that! I would not hesitate to make an appointment with Dental Clinic of Onalaska.

I have been going to Dental Clinic of Onalaska for many years. I have never had anything but a great experience! The Hygentists and Dr Olsen are amazing and always listen to me when I have concerns. I have always been treated with dignity and respect so much so its worth traveling to Onalaska for my appointments. My kids have been seeing them since they were young and will be taking their kids there as well. If anyone is looking for a dentist I highly recommend them!!

I have been here many times for many years now and have never had an unpleasant experience. Everyone is so nice and friendly and Dr. Olsen is the best dentist I have ever had. I used to hate going to the dentist (like just about everyone else) but I dont mind it much now because everyone here makes this a great experience. (even my root canal hardly hurt at all!)
