My mother was recently there and thank goodness I got to the ER to be with her. Shed push the call button and NOBODY would come for 30 minutes. What if she was dying? The ER was NOT busy, the staff was just rude and didnt care. Finally they decided to transfer her to a room, it took hours for them to come and during that time the ER just forgot about her. I finally had to go to the nurses station, they were all standing around, and asked nicely how long it would be for the room. The nurse said "5 minutes". You guessed it, 45 minutes later, no transfer. Also, they didnt check her vitals after they decided to transfer her upstairs and by the time she got to her room her blood pressure was 80/40 - great job West Allis Memorial! I mentioned what had happened to the nurse wheeling us upstairs, she said it was somewhat common and when I mentioned the time she pinpointed the issue - shift change! So youre telling me that an ER cannot handle a shift change? AVOID this hospital.

I was in the ER on 01/13/2017 with multiple symptoms, I was later diagnosed with a Virus(you know the go to problem). As I was there I they needed to place an IV and take blood. The RN who was attempting to do this poked me four times while moving the needle around and when she thought she had the IV in she started the fluid which was burning as it wasnt in my vein. She FINALLY called for some help to which the other RN/LPN whoever placed the iv correctly and they contacted the phlebotomy team who instantly drew my blood with one poke. I relayed all this information to the nurse when she called to follow up on my care on 01/17/2017 and said she would give the kudos to the phlebotomist and let the Nurse Manager of the ER know of such and they would be in contact. Well......still waiting.

Went in to emergency at 35 weeks pregnant. Nurse Amber O took me seriously from the moment she met me and I described my symptoms. Ultimately, figured out I was very ill and needed to have my son right away. I went into surgery right away. My experience in ICU was wonderful, all the nurses were unbelievably attentive. The NICU nurses treated me and most importantly my son so well. Communication was top notch, everyone came to see me to ensure I was doing ok. The lactation consultants were very informative and thanks to everyone in Labor and Delivery I felt prepared to go home after 5 days. I highly recommend this hospital, doctors, nurses and the rest of the team to care for you and your future baby. Happy to say that I survived HELLP Syndrome and my son is perfectly healthy.

Recently I was unexpectantly admitted to West Allis Memorial. I was there for 3 days. EVERYONE was great. The care and the room were probably the best I have seen in a hospital, (and over the past few months, Ive experienced the care at several area hospitals, for myself as well as another family member). The food wasnt even that bad. I really liked the room ordering system, (I realize everyone cant use it), so I could eat when I wanted to and even had a choice which fit my diet restrictions. Having been in the customer service field for many years, I dont give out 5 stars very easily, but they all deserve it!

Be aware they will up charge you at a moment’s notice. If you’re in just for a Physical and mention that something hurts or recent trauma they may move it to outpatient. About 220 jump in price for me. Also if your a New patient it will be classified as something else as well. I was complaining about it to some co-workers and they asked if it was Aurora, because it’s happened to them. Don’t trust them. Other than that service was fine. Also a urgent care Doctor was was much better, cheaper, and didnt have a 5 week delay. 150 to diagnose a concussion vs 220 for what I thought was a Physical.

I am a younger person and had a very positive experience at this hospital. It was my first time ever in a hospital too. I had a lot of great nurses that made my week long stay tolerable. I will say I had to beep the nurses a lot to help with certain things and at times it did take a while for them to come in my room. But I didnt mind because I wasnt dying or anything. I have a feeling if that could have been a possibility with my condition the response time would have been sooner. Have patience and be positive with the people taking care of you and they will do the same to you!

I would give less than 1 star if I could. The staff treats u like garbage if u have had issues years in the past. They are very judgmental and treated us and our new baby with the most disrespect u could imagine. People change and change their lifes. To them they will always look at u as garbage. The NICU where our baby has been has lied to us and misinformed us multiple times now. I wouldnt recommend this hospital for having a child if u have ever had something bad happen in ur past. I am so angry with them and their staff.

Disapointed in the assistance here in the emergency. Nursing staff could help out a little more with medical assistance. And could look into things more rather than just diagnosing stuff without proper testing. Out of the 5 times iv been here this year they havnt aided me in my medical conditions which includes mobility, personal care, ect. Once the staff are better trained in ading patients with personal care ill rate higher and update my review. Till then 2 stars and further training in assisting are needed.

Care was GREAT!! Dr.Nolan in the ER actually listened to me and what I thought was causing me pain. was at Aurora Sinai just a few days before had they listened to me they would have caught the problem instead of me having to deal with pain for an extra 4 days before going to West Allis Memorial. Im actually looking into delivering my baby at W.A.M instead of Sinai. the care was just beyond great. I am no longer dealing with any pain. Thank you Dr.Nolan and the ER Team on New years Eve

My mother fell in the bathroom and rang the emergency bell and it took them 20 minutes to respond. Totally unacceptable. What if someone were having a heart attack or worse. I was also in there ER a few months ago, i was the 2nd person in the ER (One person in front of me) got there at 5.30am, didnt actually get into the er until 10am. All morning the people at the desk were complaining to each other and saying yep more walk outs.

Worst hospital ever!! This place almost killed my son when he was born. Almost killed me when I had a C/T scan. They did kill my mother in law. If I was in an accident in front of this hospital I would request to go anywhere but there. Even if they told me I might die before I get there. Stay away at all costs this place is full of hacks. I had to give it a star to post, but I could not even give it 1 millionth of a star.
