Over the years I have had several bad experiences at this hospital. However to be fair Ill just base this review on my last visit to the emergency room. I was sent to the ER by my employer for screening after exposure to possibly infectious liquids. The doctor their told me I had nothing to worry about and sent me home. I advised the doctor that I may have been exposed to human waste. The doctor still insisted that I had no chance of contracting any disease from this exposure. So again I advised the doctor that in the past I received blood test for a year (blood tested same day of exposure, 2 weeks later, 1,3,6,9 and 12 months later) for exposure to human waste. He seemed to get slightly aggravated and told me their was nothing he could do because it wasnt possible for me to be exposed to anything. I avoid this facility if there is any way possible of doing so.

I came in with pain on my lower side. My white blood cells really high and my blood level is down for something else. Im crying in pain and throwing up. They did an x-ray but it was negative. The doctor says she is 90% sure i have a cyst bursting but they dont have an ultrasound machine here on the weekends and she wanted to do a CT but thats down. So she gave me zofran and said thats for my upset stomach and pain!?!?! Um what! Im beyond angry. They had to poke me 8 times just to get an IV and thats after being poked 3 times for lab work.... Ugh would not recommend ever

I took my son in today (Thursday). He and I were the only ones in the waiting room. It still took us an hour to complete our visit. Most of the staff was kind and professional, but I do not care at all for the nurse practitioner we saw. She was snippy. I had to stand my ground to get a school excuse note for the appropriate amount of time. (My son is running a temp of 103 AFTER taking ibuprofen, and she was trying to say he could go back to school tomorrow.) I had to stand my ground to get a note excusing him until Monday.

Each of the two times in twenty years that I have had a major medical emergency or life threatening situation, I have been taken care of with the utmost professionalism, from the EMS technicians to the emergency room staff technicians, nurses and doctors. Their extensive medical knowledge, along with exemplary efficiency, kindness and care played a significant role in saving my life. I cant thank them enough for being so thorough and efficient. I highly recommend Caldwell Medical Center.
