PREGNANT WOMEN BEWARE! Im pregnant with our first child and my experience at Dr. Sorkins office was so horrendous, Im never going back. I booked his Jay St. location using ZocDoc. BIG mistake. Primary complaints: very disorganized environment, unreasonably long wait time, rushed visit, lack luster facility. The office itself felt more like an overcrowded clinic. I arrived 10 minutes early and was told immediately that Dr. Sorkin does not actually work out of the Jay Street location listed on ZocDoc. The women at the front desk were lovely, but informed me that none of them work for Sorkin. For me that meant nobody on site had a record of my appointment or the pre-appointment details I filled out on ZocDoc. They said I had to wait to see his Physicians Assistant (PA), Karina. After waiting for 45 minutes, they said Karina the PA must be running late and instructed me to call Sorkins Ocean Pkwy office for her ETA. I called and they didnt have one. Karina arrived about 30 minutes after that and told me SHE had no record of my appointment or my pre-appointment files. She "squeezed me in" (their words) after all the other patients. Id been at the office since 1:50p and wasnt seen until 4p. Unacceptable. But it got worse. I called for my lab results and was told everything was fine. Not 2 weeks later I get a call from the Ocean Parkway office telling me that I needed to schedule another appointment, but at their office, which is over an hour from my home. I ask why and they refused to give ANY insight over the phone. They were quite rude about it and said it was a HIPPA violation to tell me anything via phone. I checked online and found out that was a lie. I called them back and they changed their story to say it was actually against their internal policy. Im glad I did my homework. They are gigantic time wasters. The last straw - my insurance claim showed up today and listed 2 visits for the same day. Im of course going to dispute the claim, because I was only there once. At this point, I have no faith Dr. Sorkins office or their ethics. I cancelled my follow up appointment and dont plan to deal with them ever again. So basically, pregnant women beware! Dr. Sorkins practice isnt worth the chaos, frustration or misinformation!!!

I have known Dr. Sorkin from the first days his office opened. I remember him as delicate, attentive and loving of his professional duties. But as of recent he has been more absent of his duties and passed on his patient load to Inna Kremen. Their office consistently runs with prolonged wait times for scheduled appointments in and around 3 hours. The staff over books for the same time slot by 5-6 people and it only compounds as the day goes on. They overbook for the sole purpose of $$$ and have no care for the time of the patients in the waiting room. I think Dr. Sorkin knows about his schedule and the schedule of his assistant. My question to you Dr. Sorkin...where is your consideration for your patients? Let this letter be somewhat of an eye opener on what your patients think about you and your practice. This Brooklyn obstetrician/gynecologist is kind, caring, and always listens and tries to find the best solution for you. He has delivered all my 4 children (the last one with c-section) and I trust him with mine and my kids’ lifes. I have never had trouble getting an appointment, and I never have to wait very long. My favorite thing about Dr. Sorkin is he personally calls you back. That makes me as a patient feel important. I also really like the staff and his nurse. She is a sweetheart and always greets you with a smile. Dr. Sorkin is unlike any other doctor I have had in the past, his patient care so wonderful! I drive 45 minutes just to see him.

i wish there was a negative for this place and i should have read the reviews, horrible wait time, the most inconsiderable and rude office staff. i was in the office 3 times and didnt see a dr once, their PA got her degree on google or her grandmother, if i go to a dr i obviously already google everything myself. I also agree about not being able to get the results over the phone only to wait for two hours and then get them from a receptionist because the dr is too busy and has been overbooked. what a disaster, never again, dont go save yourself

I was incredibly nervous during my first ever visit, but Dr Sorkin made me feel comfortable and at ease. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite and slightly humorous. Considering I go to him for something I would rather not have to go through, he calm me down by having a lovely chat with me each time Im in. The most amazing and kind doctor. Never makes you feel uncomfortable at all. Wonderful gynecologist! I recommend Dr Sorkin to any woman, young or old (my Mom has been going to him for many years now, and has never been disappointed).

I go to Dr. Sorkin for over 3 years and always receive exceptional service. He is very caring and takes time with his patience to discuss the ongoing treatment. He is never in a rush and makes you feel that you are the only patient in the office. Since he is very good, there tends to be a little wait time. However, he is definitely worth the wait. I had my first baby with him and he did a tremendous job during delivery making me feel calm and safe. I will be coming back to him for all my future needs.

This guy is an animal. He just straight up didnt show up to my friends babys birth. She called him, he told her to go to Methodist hospital, with which hes not even affiliated. He never came. Ended up my friend needed an emergency C section after being in labor for over 20 hours. Some random Indian doctor had to deal with the situation. Dr. Sorkin never even called her to see how everything went. She never heard from him again. Do NOT go to this Obgyn. I go to Shifrin, Gregory. Hes the best in the world!

We found Leonid Sorkin extremely helpful and most informative. His concern for my wifes condition was quite incredible. He made us both feel relaxed and confident. He explained every detail of the operation and the most probable outcome which, in our case was excellent. I would recommend him to anyone with a serious condition. Our G P was also very complimentary on his knowledge, bedside manner his superior surgical skills. I am very pleased to have had Leonid Sorkin as my wifes surgeon.

Very rude unprofessional front desk. The wait time is 3 hours or more. Patients who came after you are seeing the dr before your scheduled appointment. Such a big difference than 9 years ago when I first meet dr Sorkin with my first pregnancy. Hes overbooked and doesnt remember what he said to you appointment earlier. He said hell check my hospital records from before and he never did. What a disappointment.

Can’t express how much Dr. Leonid Sirkin is valued. His prenatal care was provided with the attentive care and comfort. He delivered my two healthy beautiful babies! His staff is outstanding and will help in any way they can. An extremely intellectual caring man who makes you feel like you’re the only person that matters. If you aren’t seeing Dr. Leonid Sorkin you aren’t seeing the best.
