He NEVER looks at a chart. Had no clue what tests he had ordered the prior month. Will send you to every physician he knows since he is now affiliated with S.U.NY each and every time he sees you. If you are self pay do not go to this doctor. Your bank account will be drained quickly. He never asks what the problem is. I have had to review this doctor via other patients and found his consistent steering people for EKGs, CAT SCANS, Blood work all ludicrous. While valid and necessary for some, it is not supposed to occur each and everytime a healthy patient stops by for a routine cold. He used to be with the H.I.P./ Vantage care group on Hawkins Avenue in Ronkonkoma, but for some reason these last 3 years my conclusions is he is a doctor that cant seem to diagnose a flu symptom without sending a person for a barrage of tests. Oh, as of late, he does NOT prescribe sleep medication such as Ambien, nor does he provide painkillers if you have broken something, have crippling arthritic or back pain. You wont so much as get him to prescribe Ibupropen. Find another doctor, especially if youre self pay. I emphasize, he does not look over a persons chart well at all. I have nothing against him, its just that I dont believe my insurance company should have to pay for tests that are completely unwarranted, I know they are because Ive been in healthcare roughly 25 years. Also, he misdiagnoses quite a bit.

I was with Dr Kochar when he was in the Advantage Care center in Ronkonkoma. He is very thorough and takes the time to listen to you. I have also never had a problem being referred to a specialist through his office. All office staff is very pleasant and professional. With office hours 7 days a week, either he or Dr Chawla will be there to address any medical needs that come up suddenly. Just give them a call and they will set you up with a walk in appt. Highly recommended.
