I would give Dr. Kirk & his staff 4 stars if it werent for how our experience ended. My brother began bringing my dog Rocky to Dr. Kirk around 2013. My dog was already a senior at that point and we needed to switch to someone more affordable. The two positive things I will say is this place is affordable and the vet is very knowledgeable. In August 2015, Dr Kirk diagnosed my dog with bone cancer. He was very clear that it was extremely aggressive and advised us that if he was his dog, he would not move forward with chemo or an amputation. I valued his advice and even months later I still do. The part that leaves a bad taste in my mouth is after Rocky was diagnosed, the vet and I had one phone interaction. This was because I called him. After that, he would not take my calls. All interactions were done through the front desk. I so desperately needed to hear directly from the vet and never did. Was told to just relay my concerns through the front desk. When Rocky passed away mid October 2015, not one phone call came from him or his staff. At a time when I most needed them, they were barely there. They arent the warmest veterinarian office Ive experienced. Keep in mind I work in the field of animal welfare.

There are not enough words to express how wonderful Dr.Kirk is. Without him Midnight would have not made it as long as he did. I had Midnight (my cat) for 16 years. He was about 17. Throughout the years I went to many different VETS and they always used Midnight and my emotions as a way to extort money from me. Dr.Kirk never did that. He gave Midnight the best possible care and kept him comfortable to the very end. Meeting Dr.Kirk was a blessing from God for the both of us. Jackie and staff truly handled me with delicacy and really got to know Midnight. I am so grateful Midnight had had Dr.Kirk. Midnight died peaceful and was very comfortable to the very end all because of Dr.Kirk. Dr.Kirk kept Midnight happy and full of life in his final years and did all that I could have expected. There is no other VET like Dr.Kirk.

My beagle Daisy has been seeing Dr. Kirk since Janaury 2012 after she was released from the hospital, where she was diagnosed with miltiple problems and they didnt gave me much hope here. As soon as Dr. Kirk started to examined her I know that I was in the right hands. He is very detailed oriented, he tried to understand all the problems that Daisy had and he wanted to learn as much as he can in order to help her out. He is very patient and the most important is that he takes his time, he never rushes in order to give a good diagnostic. Dr. Kirk was able to extend my doggies life by 4 years, we were able to give her quality and thats the most important. I thank Dr. Kirk for been extremely diligent and caring. Till the last day of Daisys life Dr.Kirk and his practice was very compassionate about Daisy.

I have been going to Dr. Kevin Kirk and his father before him for over 15 years. He is the best vet I have ever used by far. I used to live nearby but now Im over 1/2 hour away and I still use him and would never consider using another vet. He is a great diagnostician and is knowledgeable about many herbal and other supplements besides standard medications. Moreover, he is a wonderful, loving, open-hearted, patient, dedicated person - this will be apparent to anyone soon after meeting him. He takes a lot of time with each patient/owner and offers phone support when you have questions after seeing him. His great love for animals is very apparent. Cant recommend him more highly. His staff is very professional, nice and helpful.

Ive been going to Queens Midway Animal Hospital for over 10 years, and Dr.Kirk is nothing short of wonderful. He is gentle, honest, and kind, and it is clear to me that he truly cares about the animals that come into his office. He always does what it best for the animal, not for his pocket. I truly value his opinion and expertise, and I know I never have to worry about trying to be swindled or pressured by him or his staff(which I have definitely experienced at other vets offices). What else can I say, I could go on forever! Hes really a fantastic veterinarian. Definitely go here!

This vet doctor is more knowledgeable than my health doctor. Very professional business here. NO upscaling. You wont believe how many other vets do this. He recommends what is needed for your pet not what he can make off you. Not once have I been push for this medication, or that vaccination that my dog doesnt need. I been to 4 vets around me and some places try to upscale me all vaccination without trying to find out if i even need those. this place doesnt do that and thats why he is my favorite vet. HE CARES for your pet. Very well organized business.

I have been taking my cats, Cinnamon and Henry, to Dr. Kirk since they were kittens. Dr. Kevin Kirk is gentle with my babies and works with me to figure out the best and most cost-effective ways to treat them when there is something wrong. I am also very confident when having to board them. I know they are in the best of care. I am very confident when dealing with staff as well. My Cinnamon can be a tough cookie and difficult to deal with, but he is handled with comfort and ease. Thank you Queens Midway Animal Center. You are the best!

I would have given 4 stars but I feel like something was missing. Like the people there seemed lifeless and not animal lovers. I dont remember the vet introducing herself or assistant to me or the dog. Im used to vets that greet the dog and not just talk to me. I had to switch vets because my previous vet Dr. Volel closed her practice. I loved bringing my pets to her, and her staff was also great.I dont really want to bring my dogs here again but my boy doesnt like traveling so its my only choice. For my new puppy I may go somewhere else.

My experience was terrific. They took good care of my Maltese "Bam Bam" before and after his hernia operation. Nice staff, caring doctors and reasonably priced. I came all the way from Staten Island to Queens Midway Animal Hospital and it was so worth the long trip. I have been with Dr.kirk , for quite a while he as well as his. Staff are wonderful. I almost lost one of my furry friends and Dr.kirk worked so hard to help him . Im glad to state that my little guy has been home and is being spoiled. He is healthy and happy. Anything wrong with my guys I immediately call /go to Dr. Kirk .
