Over the last 3 years I have been to many Physical Therapy entities. I was referred to Metro Physical to do aqua therapy. I was quite skeptical and had decided that if I did not feel as if it was a productive first assessment I would not go back. I was pleasantly surprised as from day one, the attention to detail and questions both orally and on paper was a new experience. They took the time to understand the full picture of why i was there and what the goal / purpose should be for me. It was not like my past experience of going through the motions. It was customized for me to determine what level of Therapy would be needed. I went in to be a group water patient. Ended up after my first water session being recommended for 1 on 1. Which has made a big difference. The main therapist I have seen for my water therapy, Jenn she is absolutely wonderful. Just wanted you to know that you have a gem in her . Based on my past experience she is a refreshing change. She is very patient with me especially on my slow days. Quite understanding and took the time to learn more about me in terms of why I am there for therapy and what I have been through She adjust what we do based on what i can manage each session. She pays attention. Always concerned and asks how the week has been in terms of mobility, pain etc. Bonus she actually listens to me go on about my life and how my physical limitations hamper my day to day life.. (I tell her shes my part time therapist ..!! Wish I could compensate her for listening .lol) All the staff I have encountered there have been super warm and caring. They dont make you feel as if they are there just to collect a pay check. Special mention to Terry and Chenelle at the front desk. Always helpful and warm with greeting and checking how I am doing when i sign in and asking how was my session when i leave. My back up Therapist Jackie is also fantastic. I am glad I gave therapy another try and came to you guys. It has made a world of difference . You have a great staff . Keep up the good work.

I am a patient of Co-Director Nancy Silva and my therapy sessions have been a learning, as well as rewarding experience. When I feel discouraged Nancy reassures me with her relentless, patience, total understanding and unequivocal persistence. She can read my mind and makes sure I am honest about keeping up with my exercises, both in therapy and at home. Nancy has an uncanny ability to have someone address their inner fears and tackle the problem "head-on" to the best of ones ability. She is non-judgmental and advises me on my progress in a professional, very caring manner. Nancy is an excellent therapist who does a wonderful job in getting to know her patients and working with them to resolve any issues both they and she feel have to be addressed. It is important to be able to confide in someone you trust and who you know is there to help you in any way she can. There is no such thing as giving up when you have Nancy as your physical therapist. I would highly recommend anyone I know, both family and friends, to make an appointment with Nancy to be treated for whatever ailment they are suffering from which requires a knowledgeable, experienced and caring physical therapist. She is the best!

In late March or early April, I came to Metro PT for intense lower back pain due to a herniated disc. Throughout the course of just going two times a week for 3 months, they made me feel like someone who would never pick up a weight again to feeling like I can confidently go back to doing heavy weightlifting. The staff was very professional, kind, and understanding. I always felt welcome and had fun. The first meeting with the PTs to diagnose your issue and plan the method of care (evaluatios) may take some time. However, after that, I never had an issue with scheduling and receiving care at the time of my appointments. Beyond just treating my symptoms and helping me get better, the staff placed an emphasis on education and future injury prevention. They taught me a lot of information about proper form in workouts and approaches to the healing process of my herniated disc (and my misaligned hips which I didnt even know I had until the PTs told me!). I highly recommend Metro PT! Special thanks to Stephanie, Matt, Ryan, Ian, Tony, John, and some other aides (Im forgetting some names here) for helping me recover.

Ive been seeing Amanda Till, DPT at Metro for over a year for rehab after extensive spine surgery. PTs are often not given enough credit for the role they play in not only post-operative care and injury rehabilitation but also preventative care. Metro is setting a new standard for the role of physical therapy in all of these areas and their phenomenal staff is evidence of that progress. Amanda has been an integral part of my recovery and I credit her for every bit of my degree of functionality today. She and the staff at Metro have created a safe, inclusive and encouraging atmosphere. She has become a steady, caring partner in my care and I couldnt be more grateful for finding her and Metro PT. As a healthcare provider and patient, I can say that the facilities and resources available to patients at Metro are unmatched. The work areas are meticulously clean, spacious and the variety of equipment available make for an enjoyable, as well as creative, workouts. All of the staff-front desk, aides, providers-have been exceptionally helpful, encouraging and professional. A well deserved 5 stars.

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy gave me back my life. I had for years suffered from severe osteo-arthritis of the knees. Finally, and reluctantly, I gave in and had total knee replacement of the left knee performed on April 8th, 2015 by Dr. Michael Cross at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Beginning on May 4th, I began physical therapy at Metro Physical, which was among the establishments recommended by HSS. Dr. Michael Mayrsohn, his colleague, Ian, and others of the staff of this establishment guided me through a rigorous program of exercises and manipulation of the prosthetic knee. I have only praise for the superb treatment I have received at their hands. Their professionalism is outstanding; all their staff are patient, knowledgeable, and possessed of a fine sense of humor, which is most welcome when facing major physical rehabilitation. Their high regard for each other and their dedication to excellence are immediately obvious. I still have a ways to go in my recovery; but for the first time I find myself able to face the future with a degree of optimism and confidence.

The folks at MetroPT in Garden City/Westbury are the best, from the therapists and assistants to the office staff. In fact, some of the PT Assistants cover the office work as well. The facility is spacious and clean. Some of the heavier exercise machines are a bit on the old side, but they are adequately functional. The pool is a BIG plus. It was necessary for me to use it to get treatment of my knee injury a couple of years ago, and it helped tremendously. Matt, who guided my treatment this time around, is extremely knowledgeable, and explains in simple terms why you are doing each activity, whether it is a certain type of stretching, or an exercise. Natalie, Lisa and Ryan are excellent therapists also, as was Nancy and Jared 2 yrs ago. Ashley, Liz and Melissa (and the tall guy whose name I never quite got) are all top-notch assistants as well. Flexible scheduling and proximity to home were also factors in choosing this facility. While I hope I dont have a reason to go back there, if something happens that requires therapy, this is the place to go for me.
