I was desperately in need of new contacts after almost 3 years of neglecting the fact. I saw this place was close to my new home and made an appointment. When I got there the atmosphere was very invigorating, you can tell they keep up with trends and care about showing it! Terry is a wonderful man who knows his craft. The doctor was so kind and cared to make sure my prescription was correct. He understood how to read my complicated prescription and delightfully stepped me through understanding myself. I was skeptical about getting glasses because of the cost, but my exam ended up being less since the change in promos! So I got to browse the glasses, and boy are there so many good ones to choose from! And my frames were done the next day. I am glad to have stumbled upon this gem of optical professionals! Thank you!!!

Buyer beware! Found this business bc of a Living Social deal, otherwise I would never have willingly gone to this place. The shop is a mess (particle board propped, not hung, glasses and trays and CLIENT FILES scattered about) They prefer to deal in cash. There is an ATM IN THE STORE with a blinking ATM sign in the window. These should have been signs to run, not walk, away-- living social coupon be damned. However not being one to waste money, I found glasses ordered them and gave Terry, the owner, $100 cash deposit and were told they would be ready the next day at noon. Upon arrival Terry said that he had lost the frames and the rx!! 2 weeks later we finally got the glasses when he demanded that payment be cash only. SHADY shady shady business practices to say the very least!!! I will not go back!

We stopped in this store by chance, as I had a relative visiting from out of state who broke her glasses, we had hoped they could repair them as we were in a bind with no spare pair. The owner ended up helping us out by finding a arm that he could temporarily secure to her bifocal lens until she could get back to her doctor in her home state. He was very helpful and informative on her current prescription. The best part... he didnt even charge her!!! We were shocked by this accommodation. I will be going there in the future for my own eye glass needs as we were so satisfied. Highly recommend this business for going above and beyond as if we had been going there for years Instead of it being our first time.

I had a groupon to come here, and since the very first phone call - when I made the appointment, I could tell that customer service was a priority for them. My appointment went off without a hitch. Dr. Stark was extremely patient and detail oriented. He answered all my questions, and took his time to get my prescription just right. When it was time for me to choose my glasses, the staff were honest in their opinions of which frames fit my face the best, and they worked with the price range I was trying to stay in. I ended up leaving with 2 amazing pairs of glasses, within my budget and I will definitely go back to them in the future!!

I have bought 4 pairs of glasses at Central Eyes Optical and love each pair more than the next. The first time I had my eyes examined and ordered progressive bifocals. Previously I had only used inexpensive reading glasses. Terry Schneider took the time to teach me how to acclimate to wearing progressive bifocals and I am hooked. Subsequently I have purchased 2 pairs of designer progressive, polarized, sunglasses as well as another regular pair and enjoy wearing them. In addition, I am always receiving compliments. Its been a pleasure. Went in this past Sunday to purchase glasses. Terry is very gracious and super helpful. After I picked out my glasses, I emailed him my presciption within two days. He has a great follow through, called me to confirm my glasses should be ready within a week. Loved his shop, they had absolutely every brand you can imagine and most importantly the one I wanted. My sister also had the pleasure to buy her glasses from here. Its a wonderful shop, if you are in need of opticals this is the place to go. They aim to please.

3 years ago I used a Groupon to purchase a pair of high end brand prescription sunglasses. The owner, Terry, told me "lifetime guarantee" and if there ever was a problem to bring then back. 2 weeks ago I sat on them and broke them. I brought them back to Terry and he replaced the frames *with the same brand* and simply transferred the lenses, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Now I have a brand new pair of sunglasses!! Id highly recommend this store based on brand selection, quality, and customer integrity.

Superb optician, a genuine craftsman of the old school. And Central Eyes Optical easily has one of the the best selections of fashionable frames in New York. But okay, lets say youre very, very particular and dont see exactly what it is youre looking for... No problemo, this expert optician will find it. Order it. Or "poof," like a custom jeweler or shirtmaker somehow create the frames himself. Eccentric, yes, expensive, not at all (theyll work with you). Five gold stars.

I recently stepped into Central Eyes Optical. They have the best selection of frames Ive seen for a long while. Not the same old, same old stuff you see everywhere. I had issues due to cataracs and Terry the owner was so informative regarding this issue, he helped me out tremendously and now I can see again until Im ready to have my cataracs removed. I highly recommend Central Eyes, especially if youre looking for something different, modern and classy.

Quality products and fast, accurate service. I have a complex lens prescription that transitions from up close reading to long distance and also includes a transition from normal eyeglasses to sunglasses. Lenses cut for me were perfect the first time and required no adjustment due to the precision measurements that were taken before the work was begun. There is also a more than adequate choice of frames that are reasonably priced.
