Were new to the area, and needed to get our dogs vaccinated, so I started calling around to local vets - Woodstock Animal Hospital quoted me $68 each for rabies shots. Others were priced similarly, a little less but still a lot of money - I inquired of each if they had a sliding scale (were on a fixed income) and was told no. I was almost ready to give up and realize that we couldnt vaccinate them now, when I noticed Ulster Animal Hospital had a really good Google review, so thought Id call and ask them. They charge $16 for a rabies shot - the cost of the vaccine, and dont charge anything to administer it. And that is how I found a new vet for our dogs. Wonderful people, lucky pets (and pet owners.)
