I used to live in Maryland and had a great Vet that I loved for my two cats. When I moved to NY I was looking for the same combination of great care, knowledgeable and sensitive staff, direct contact with a patient doctor, and a super clean locale. I didn’t realize this would be so hard to find. I took my cats to several vets in the area (even to some places that friends recommended) and was very disappointed and frustrated in all of them. One of my cats was having some health issues and I was heartbroken that I felt none of the vets cared about him but just treated him like a number… they prescribed things they wouldn’t explain, didn’t take time to talk with me about options, had small and cramped quarters, and were generally filthy and smelly throughout the extent of the rooms. His conditions kept worsening and he soon passed away. Soon afterwards I got a flyer from Garden City Veterinary Care and decided to give them a try since I didnt want to take my remaining cat back to any of the places I had already been. From the minute I walked in the door I knew I had found the right place. For starters, it is so much cleaner than any other vet I have ever been to... even in the exam rooms there is no smell from other animals and my cat actually came out of his carrier on his own for the first time ever while at the vet. On my first visit they offered to give me a full tour of the facility including the back operating/testing rooms... everything was spotless, and all the rooms are extremely spacious and well maintained with good lighting, large exam tables and modern equipment. Even more important than the cleanliness is the treatment- the staff is super friendly and caring, and the doctors are completely knowledgeable and also extremely patient- every single visit they take the time to answer all my questions and explain everything about the health of my cat. They offer complete treatments and specialized services for all varieties of pet medical needs. I had my cat receive dental work and small scale surgery there and they took every effort to care for him exquisitely. I have been so happy and impressed with their consistent excellence in care and services and I simply cannot recommend them enough. Even on my very first visit I became an immediate client for life- I will never take my cat anywhere else and only wish that I had known about GC Vet Care for my other cat when he had needed help. If you want your pet to receive both excellent treatment and to be cared for like the family member he/she is- there is no question that this is the place to go. In addition to the Vet services, there is also a boarding option… while I haven’t used these services I did go on a full tour of the rooms and reviewed their services- I can truthfully say if I ever had to board my pet this is the only place I would turn to.

We have been bringing our dog Maggie to Garden City Veterinary Care since we got her as a puppy. All of the vets and the staff are wonderful and caring. We spend part of the year in Florida and do have a veterinarian there as well. We have boarded Maggie at Best In Show a couple of times. They also take great care of our dog. Just last week, we brought Maggie in for an ear and skin infection appointment and we were fortunate enough to have Dr. Levine and tech Rohan assist us. Again, the best possible service, good information was provided on my concerns. Just a really great experience. The staff and medical professionals at Garden City Veterinary Care have been nothing but supportive and compassionate. I highly recommend Garden City to any pet parent who is looking for the best possible care for their companion animal.

My husband and I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Raymond Polley, DVMPC and his staff for the compassion and care our beloved pet Pookie and my family received from them. My husband returned from his third tour disabled and unable to work .It has been three years of red tape.We discovered a pea sized lump in pookies mammary gland. It had doubled in size in two weeks. She was never fixed and 10 years old.The perfect storm for cancer. Pookie has been with me threw one of the worst periods of my life. This was our first time to his office. We thought he was part of a veterans group for dogs he was not and said to bring her in anyway. The despair in my heart must have shown,Dr Polley took pookie in for the operation that day. Pookie is alive and now healthy. Thanks to the compassion and skill of Dr. Polley

Exceptional Care... Dr. Polley and his staff at Garden City Veterinary Care are a wonderful bunch of caring and knowledgeable professionals practicing an unparalleled level of veterinary care and medicine. Theyve taken care of my cat, Schmoopie since 1997 and now that shes passed Dasiy is the youngster that began seeing Dr. Polley and Dr. Reis this past summer and I would not consider going anywhere else. Having a friendly group of caregivers lends great comfort to me in knowing that my kitties are in excellent hands when I take them in. They have the onsite resources to do just about everything one could think of in treating their patients. And the warm people skills of their staff make the whole experience of seeing the vet a pleasure. ~Elizabeth

They say you shouldnt judge a book by its cover... looks nice from the outside, inside is relatively clean.. I went in for my free exam and just got the feeling the doctor I saw (who is also the owner I believe) didnt even like pets.. I guess cause the exam was free and i told him from the beginning my finances were tight, me and my cat werent given the same attention as any other client. Thats fine.. Im just glad I found out on my first (and last) visit and not one day when it was an emergency.. Bad vibes all around..

Do not take your pet here. First of all they offer discounts to their clients for a good review so beware of the five stars reviews. Secondly they provide horrible service. I took my pet poodle there and he got sick from one of the medication and they told me I had to pay in order for them to take a look at the sick dog. Keep in mind this is a day after my initial visit. They convince you to take unnecessary tests that cost you a harm and a leg.Save your money and save you beloved animal friends. Do not go there.

My 3 year old Chocolate Lab completely tore his cruciate ligament in his left rear leg during some rough play in the park. Dr. Infernuso performed TPLO surgery. Within ONE WEEK my dog was walking on the "bad" leg. I am blown away by the amazing job he did fixing my dogs leg. I now am confident that my dog will be close to 100% when fully recovered. The staff at this vet is EXTREMELY LOVING to the animals. You will leave there knowing your pet is safe and being taken care of like its their own.

Wonderful, consistent and informative care. Dr. Polley and staff take a personal interest in your pet(s), greeting you and your pet by name, always remembering important info about you and your pet and presenting information clearly and concisely. We have been with Garden City Veterinary Care for 8 1/2 years and have never had a less than terrific experience. Our pet is always in good hands! Thank you Garden City Vet!
