After 15+ years of chronic back pain and misery due to severe lumbar disc degeneration (no intervertebral disc L5-S1/severe degeneration L4-L5), I’ve finally been able to return to pain free living and normal activity thanks to Dr. Ness! Over the years Ive tried just about every modality of treatment in search of pain relief for my chronic back pain: epidurals, nerve blocks, sport massage, acupuncture, acupressure, chiropractic, reflexology, etc.-with no lasting success. After just one treatment with Dr. Ness utilizing Active Release Technique(ART), Spinal Decompression Therapy(Traction) and Cold Laser, I was able to move pain free for the first time in years! The relief each ART treatment gives me lasts for days; not hours like most other modalities. While this is an achievement in itself, it has now been over a month with no return to my initial high pain level and a notable improvement in overall function. With twice weekly maintenance appointments with Dr.Ness for ART treatments, and by following his prescribed stretching routine on off days, I’ve been able to stay mostly pain free(even with my active lifestyle). I strongly recommend Dr. Ness to anyone who has an injury or even chronic pain. He is an expert practitioner of Active Release Technique, and has been able to keep me out of the hospital, and free of the surgery I was told I needed (multi-level spinal fusion) if I ever wanted to be pain free again. Dr. Ness and ART, Spinal Decompression and Cold Laser are the real deal. I can’t say thank you enough for helping me to live pain free again!

I found Dr. Ness when looking for help with rehabilitation for my shoulder replacement surgery. Especially because I learned he is a specialist in ART (Active Release Technique). I am a current patient and have been to around 9 sessions. I have never seen a Chiropractor before. I believe Dr. Ness is absolutely a 5 star plus Dr. He always greets you with a great big smile and is genuinely concerned with your health and progress. His hands are strong and he works with a confidence you can feel. Im most impressed that Dr. Ness has a plan, he really anticipates your treatment. I feel like he sees inside my shoulder and knows just what to work on next. Plus he gives me exercises to do on my own. Im getting better, and I believe a lot has to do with having an expert like Dr. Ness help me. Im happy he is here in the Hudson Valley. I also highly recommend ART for anyone with scar tissue issues. Its AMAZING!

Dr. Ness is a skilled professional. He does a thorough medical evaluation before starting treatment, involves you in the treatment plan and is actively involved in the positive outcome of your condition. I went in with a herniated disk/pinched nerve in my lower back and in eight weeks my back is 99.9% - unbelievable- when I started I couldnt sit comfortably for more than 3-5 minutes. I can now ride my bike for 25 miles. BUT I, too, had too be an active participant in my treatment. Definitely go to him. You wont regret it - if you follow his treatment recommendations, you WILL get better.

My orthopedist recommended ART treatment after pain medicine and muscle relaxants did no good. Dr. Ness helped so much that Im done with the meds and can cancel my spinal block appointment. Hes also given me exercises and some better habits so I can keep myself healthy. (By the way, "concede" means "to yield", so Dons review below is a little puzzling ... Dr. Ness combined his medical training with a sympathetic ear. He listened carefully during his initial intake and continues to refine his treatments based on my comments - which to me is the opposite of "conceited".)

I have been seeing Dr. Ness for a few weeks now for hip pain that Ive been dealing with for over 5 years. In the few weeks that Ive been seeing him, most of my pain has been eliminated and I can finally start feeling normal again during my daily activities. I always look forward to my appointments as the staff in the entire office are friendly and welcoming and each time my body feels better than the last. I have to strongly disagree with the person who wrote Dr Ness is conceded...... He is very caring and competent. During the screening he does have to ask certain questions to get the whole picture of what is wrong with you, if that makes him conceded because he wants to know about you and your pain than give me more professionals that care like him! Both my wife and I have been to Dr. Ness seeking treatment for chronic pain. For each of us, Dr. Ness was able to diagnose our problem and, through a combination of his ART treatments and a set of strengthening exercises, provide lasting pain relief. You need to be patient, though as the improvements are gradual, but steady. Highly recommended.
