If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Theyre horrible, and Bruce Chung, nice as he may be, heads an office filled with incompetents. The receptionists are a particular problem: They think theyre doctors. For example, one time, the woman told me that I shouldnt come in for a Hep C vaccination in advance of traveling to Cambodia, because it takes six months to take effect. (I was supposed to be leaving in two months.) This is patently false -- you get partial protection almost immediately. Point being: A receptionist shouldnt be telling me ANYTHING about my health. Another story: One time, one of the doctors there made a mistake on a prescription. It was for the wrong dose. The receptionist WOULD NOT put me through to the doctor to explain so that a new Rx could be called in, insisting that "prescriptions arent done over the phone" and that I would have to come in and pay for another appointment to get the Rx fixed. This seems to be their policy: Getting you to come in as much as possible, to pump up the visits they can bill the insurance company. Second, the doctors are always hideously late. The last three times Ive gone there, its been for minor, minor things that should have taken 5 minutes: A refill in one instance, and a vaccination booster in another. Both times, I waited 1.5 hours to the see the doctors. One of these instances was on a SATURDAY at 1pm. Seriously? If you guys cant keep up with your patient flow, then stop scheduling like 5 appointments an hour just to make more money. FINALLY: This place sent me a bill that I should never have received. Which they then followed up with by referring to collections because they "couldnt get in contact" with me. Long story short: This is the only black mark on my credit rating. In summary, if you want to negatively affect your credit, wait endless hours for crappy service, and be treated to some of the most incompetent reception staff youll ever meet, then this is the place for you!

Ok- Ill make this quick and to the point. Dr. Chung as a Dr.- 5 stars!! Dr. Chung as businessman: 0 Office Employees: 0s by themselves, with Dr. Chung instruction on billing policy, and instruction on customer service -3 Never in my life have I seen such a disparity between the quality of medical attention and the quality of staff supporting them. Dr. Chung is as good as they come, but lets be honest, hes not the only good doctor in NYC. There everywhere! You can recieve quality medical attention without the nonsense of a staff that is TRAINED (albeit HORRIBLY) to overcharge and double bill you at every turn. I reluctantly have been to Dr. Chung 5 or 6 times because of his skill (no longer after today), so Ive identified trends........To start, his staff is RUDE at all times. They speak broken English at best, so when you dictate information to them correctly over the phone, and arrive later to be told YOU gave the wrong information, it is insulting to your intelligence, and a potential "break the bank" moment considering they can bill you and send you to collections without any recourse on your end. This last time, when I asked for my issue with the charge to be attended to while I was at their office to ensure it was resolved to both our satisfaction, I was told NO! What egregious disregard for proper protocol and customer service. Additionally, this place is overbooked/overcrowded, and a 45-1 hour wait is not uncommon I wouldnt recommend this practice to anyone. For a second I felt bad for Dr. Chung for his staff dragging down his practice, but then I realized there is no way he isnt aware and PROVOKING the behavior of his staff when I have seen the same repeated and consistent approach by his employees over the course of 3 years. Bottom line: Quality medical attention, depths of hell levels of customer service, courtesy, employee knowledge, and communication.

Dr. Chung has been my Internist for myself and my family for almost 10 years now. He is by far one of my favorites. He takes the time to explain whats going on with your illness and if available will present various ways to resolve and will recommend which he feels is he best of course of action. The only down side is his office staff do not speak very good english and sometimes takes a little time to make an appointment.

I have been going to Dr. Chung for about 20 years. I have never met anyone who even come close on the quality of his bedside manner. He is up to date on all the major issues and does an excellent job of explaining his thought process to you . The administrative staff can be a pain but unfortunately this level of quality is common among clinics around NYC.

They cancelled my appointment and rescheduled to another appointment a few days later without contacting me to check with me first. Will NOT be using again nor recommending to anyone!

Dr Chung takes far too long to diagnose problems he should know more about being a physician.
