One of the worst dermatology mills I ever experienced! Young team of Practitioners awkwardly inexperienced, unknowledgeable, with defensive, cold & insensitive, provider manner. MD seems nice and OK however, very stretched. Dragged out patient care without provider or diagnostic continuity. Erroneous attempts to duplicate cultures already performed & sent to lab two weeks earlier...had to call attention to. Practioner wrote a $700.00 facial wash prescription for a Medicaid Managed Care Child! MD appearance doesnt exactly seem to match photo on maps! Delves into personal information instead of dermatological exam and evaluation...seems distracted... scary! Have to request repeatedly for evaluation of minor skin conditions and medical advice. Challenges on not being able to afford $700.00 non covered pharmaceutical for acne. Does not return phone calls to pharmacy or patients in a timely manner. After three extended phone calls during regular business hours during the week, received a call from what appears to be a very young practitioner at 7:40 pm Friday night claiming I had said childs condition worsening which was NOT true! I had phoned regarding prescriptions which could not be filled twice/required rewriting over past two weeks and for results from cultures pending three weeks! This practice is NOT HOLISTIC! They push expensive pharmaceuticals. Beware! You must leave a credit card on file to be seen. Limited parking...travel by foot only to this location. Urban idiosyncracy. Yes, the office is VERY urban cool chic..Receptionists very mellow and sweet yet....dont believe the hype!

I have been a loyal, self-paying customer of Dr. Buka and associates for over a year. I went through Accutane under the care of Dr. Spizuoco who I adore, but their recent handling of a bill I received for an appointment that didnt happen is absolutely ridiculous. I went in for a cortisone shot (as Ive done several times in the past) and while I was there I refilled a prescription. As usual, I paid for my appointment and was told by the receptionist that it cost $50 (same as always). Months later I receive a bill for the same appointment for $150. This is what they charge for a consultation or regular appointment when you self pay. I know this because I had to have these kinds of appointments monthly while on Accutane. When I called to see why I was being billed for a full appointment when all I did was receive a cortisone shot, they said its because I refilled my prescription while I was there. REfilled. Something I could have done for FREE over the phone. When I expressed my frustration with the situation, they were not accommodating or helpful at all. I told the manager that I had been a self-paying customer who went through Accutane there for over a year and she did not care. Long story short, this place will charge you $150 to refill a prescription and they dont give a damn about loyalty or customer appreciation. I will absolutely NEVER go back.

total scam. someone will see you and charge you but they dont care and dont follow through. had an appointment 4 weeks ago and follow up 2 weeks later. after waiting for an hour they announced the test results werent back yet. this was 2 weeks ago. havent heard from them since. got charged though. including the absolutely pointless follow up visit.

Ive visited Dr Buka multiple times. His staff has been very professional and effective. They answered all my questions and were more than helpful when I had an issue with a pharmacy and needed them to help. Also really appreciate their flexibility with appointment rescheduling when I had a wok issue come up.
