Dr. Monaco and his staff are the best. They cared for our ferret, Cassi, for seven years. Dr. Monaco is excellent at giving you all the facts and diagnosing underlying problems. You immediately trust his knowledge and judgement. He is an incredibly skilled surgeon, as Cassi had many surgeries in her life (some with emergency vets) and Dr. Monacos surgeries left her with little recovery needed and almost no bruising. The staff there is top notch, with many of the vet assistants ready to help take blood or get medicine with a smile. I would recommend this clinic to anyone with an exotic.

Dr. Monaco is a great person and is gifted with animals.He has a connection with them and an understanding that is rare. Dr. Monaco also cares about every animal that he treats. Combine that with his high level of intelligence and his pleasant bedside manner and Dr. Monaco becomes one in a million. He saved and cured my baby Black Capped Conure, Cleopatra, who had been seen by two other vets that were unable to diagnose or treat her ailment correctly. A year later, she is 100% and thriving and one of the loves of my life.

I brought my turtle to Dr Monaco, a new experience for me as Ive always had dogs and cats. Dr. M treated my turtle like an old friend and was very thorough. He found something wrong with him through a stool sample and sent me home with injectable medication so I could treat Big George properly without repeated visits. Sure enough, he was cured and healthy. I wouldnt take my turtle anywhere else.

They saved my cat Ra. After bringing him in with a urinary blockage they diagnosed and treated immediately. They treated him like one of their pets. Every day I got a call as to how he was doing, I never had to worry what was going on. It was wonderful. I have had many bad experiances with Vets on Long Island And Old Country Animal Clinic has restored my faith. THANK YOU

Took our baby beardie in for his/her first wellness check up. Dr. Monaco and staff are wonderful super informative and very nice. The office is clean and the wait time was very minimal. Definitely going to bring our other pets here as well. Its great to know that as first time reptile parents were doing a good job.

Great vet if you are okay waiting hour and a half. Both times I came in I waited almost 2 hours. No one at any point of me waiting did they apologize or give any reason for the long wait. When I asked why it was taking so long they said emergency and turned away like I was bothering them.

Hands down the best veterinarian around. I recommend them to everyone I know. amazing with people and animals. Prices are great compared to other clinics. They were $2000 cheaper than another place I took my pet. I travel 20 miles just to come here.
