Just completed my first visit at this office. I found Dr. Moylan to be professional, kind, and very competent. I have many complications with respect to my vision including dry eye, lattice degeneration, astigmatism, and a macula hole; all these conditions need to be monitored. I did not feel rushed through my complicated history, but the doctor listened, addressed specific concerns I had related to my vision at present. He clearly outlined a plan to monitor these conditions which really gave me peace as concerns for my vision in the future is a cause for anxiety. I also appreciated that this office had updated equipment to monitor the condition with my macula, saving me quarterly trips into NYC for vision check ups. During the visit, Dr. Moylan picked up a problem with my new eyeglasses based on a prescription from another office and physician, and that problem has been causing muscle contractions in one of my eyes. This was upsetting as I had just gotten new glasses based on that prescription... very frustrating and expensive error that will have to wait until I can replace my current glasses and when I do, I will get my script and my glasses at this office. I took the time to write this lengthy review because I hate for this to happen to someone else. When you are in an office that takes the time to do things right, respects and cares for their patients, it is a rare find. Very pleasant office environment, no problems parking for a Port Jeff office, and a very very courteous and welcoming staff.

Where do I begin? North Shore Advanced Eye Care has become like family to me in the last 2 months. They saved me from a corneal ulcer, which put my vision at risk. I was referred to them by urgent care and they stayed beyond normal office hours to see me. They immediately put an aggressive plan together and followed up consistently until I was able to see again. They also noticed that my contacts were too tight and refitted me with an extremely comfortable daily contact alternative. Not only are Dr. DeMartini and Dr. Moylan top notch, but you can tell that they genuinely care about you and are passionate about what they do. I have to say that Ive never experienced a level of personal care and attention that would rival their practice. The office staff is exceptionally personable. I look forward to going there for that alone. Picking out new glasses was easy, as they learned my style quickly and got me options that I loved in a fraction of the time it would have taken me.

I have been going to Dr. Moylan for 15 years and I refuse to go anywhere else! Dr. Moylan does not accept my vision plan and is somewhat of a drive for me and yet I still go there because I am so confident in his abilities. I have very complicated eyes due to being born premature and Dr. Moylan is always friendly, punctual and answers any and all questions I have. I am always very nervous when I go and he makes an experience that is not very pleasant for me as pleasurable as he can! His office staff are all polite and have scheduled me quickly in a few emergency situations. The optician is great as well; he truly takes his time with you. I have a very difficult prescription that results in very thick lenses and he managed to design a nice-looking pair of glasses that I actually enjoy wearing. Although I prefer Dr. Moylan, the other female doctor is great, too! He truly is a great doctor and seems like a genuinely, nice person as well!

Dr. moylan was awesome. No complaints about him and that is the only reason for the 2 star review. HOWEVER I could not be more outraged and disappointed at the exorbitant prices and pushy service of the people selling the glasses. After getting a prescription I was ushered over the the area where the glasses are sold and before I knew it I was bullied into buying 2 pairs of glasses totaling over $1300! The more expensive of the 2 has been adjusted twice and still doesnt fit well. The reading part of the lens is so small I can not get used it it. I brought it to another optician just out of curiosity-- I could have gotten the exact frames for literally a quarter of what I paid!!!! And the reading part could have been made way better. Im absolutely beside myself and tried calling to speak with Vinny about it and was told he is too busy and I have to come in. Really??? Im a patient!

I have been seeing Dr. Moylan for 15 years. He is a very nice man, and a wonderful optometrist. Everyone in the office is very friendly and helpful. The office is very modern and well kept; it is also managed extremely well, I have never had to wait more than 3-5 minutes for my appointment. The optical center is excellent. There is a huge selection of glasses, and the staff are very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Unlike other doctors who just shuffle you in and out of their office, Dr. Moylan genuinely cares about his patients, and he is extremely good at what he does. If you are unsatisfied with your current eye doctor, or are looking for a new eye doctor; make an appointment with Dr. Moylan. You wont ever want to see another optometrist again.

My optometrist recently retired and I am happy to say I found Dr. Moylans practice. I could tell I would have a good experience from the first phone call I made. The receptionist was professional and knowledgeable. It is refreshing to be under the care of a physician who loves what they do. Dr. Moylan has the whole package. He is kind, friendly, good looking and skilled in his profession. Up to date with equipment and software. He explains things as he examines the eye. The office itself is clean and pretty. Vinny, who helps with the selection of the frame is also friendly and knowledgeable. The office runs quite smoothly. While I was sad to lose my optometrist, I am happy to have found this one.

If you are trusting your vision care to anyone other than Dr Edward Moylan and the staff at North Shore Advanced Eye Care, you are making a mistake. Dr Moylan uses all of the most recent, cutting edge technology to provide the most thorough eye exam possible. He spends as much time as is necessary to answer all of the questions you may regarding your vision care. His staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. They are experts at explaining the benefits available under your vision plan. Both my daughters and myself have used North Shore Advanced Eye Care for several years and wouldnt think of seeing anyone else.

Obviously I am very careful with my eyes, and Dr. Moylans the office is very well run, the exam was thorough and all was explained to me. They helped me with my insurance at the end. I returned the next day to get my glasses and everyone was very helpful and patient ( it took a long time to make a decision) there was a good selection of glasses. I have used this office in the past, my glasses fit perfectly, and last for years. the eye exams are thorough and the staff is wonderful
