I would give a 0 star if Google allowed it.Let me tell you why this place sucks beyond belief. The staff is ignorant, unethical and very unprofessional. I went to do an MRI test at the New York hospital in Flushing Queens at radiology department on 08/02/15(Sunday), prior to that I went in person to make an appointment with all necessary paper work that my doctor issued to me in the same hospital on the 4th floor. The receptionist accepted all my paperwork and told me just show up on Sunday. I assumed everything was good to go but I still wanted confirmation so I asked her clearly if I needed to bring any further paper work with me on Sunday. She said no and that everything is set and it is in the system. All I had left to do was fill a few basic health questionnaire paperwork, which I did, then I will be ready to go. She wasn’t attentive to begin with, therefore, the problems the following appointment ensued. On Sunday, I showed up at the radiology center. Another reception was there and she wasn’t friendly. She seemed to be in a bad mood because there was a child behind her desk, assuming it was hers and she seemed annoyed by her. I’m not even sure why a child was there in the first place, a reception desk is no place for a child and it is a major distraction to whoever is handling the desk.Onwards, I stated I was there for an MRI test. She had trouble finding me in the system. This was frustrating after I confirmed with the first receptionist that I was, in fact, in the system. After a waited time, she was able to locate my name and my scheduled appointment. Then she asked to see the prescription paper from the referral doctor, so I told her when I made appointment, the lady told me all I need to do is show up and everything is ready to go! She already documented the necessary files. She responded that the first receptionist, her coworker, does not know what she is doing and she still needed my paperwork to verify. Since I was told I didn’t need anything, I didn’t have them on me. So then she requested that I email it to her. Luckily, my wife was home and was able to gather all documents and email everything to her. My wife sent all three separated referrals and prescription approval by my doctor in email form. All of the paper work had the same information on it, stating I made an appointment few days prior, she looked through briefly and said those are not the papers she was looking for!Hold on, what? She asked for referrals, prescriptions and MRI diagnostic requests and still wasn’t the paperwork she needed? The paperwork could not be any clearer which led me to believe this inexperience, unprofessional and miserable being could not comprehend the information before her eyes. The paperwork stated the prescription and the test needed summary with authorization through my insurance company, I kept telling her that was the paperwork, but I was still being denied for the MRI while her child was yelling at background demanding to play with her. Again, I can’t even express the very frustrating experience with the service I needed ASAP for my lower back pain. I’m still in so much pain and no one has even contacted me to resolve this issue. In conclusion – whoever is hiring at the hospital, they need to do some careful consideration in who they hire as a representative for their practice, you need someone who has more common sense and knows their job. They need to train better. If you are a patient, do me a favor, stay away from this radiology department at the Queens hospital. You’re wasting your time.

When you look at all the one stars here, it tells you all. Its critical care that those doctors or staffs that lack of. Doctors arent competent enough, dont even mention those staffs which one you can really trust, do some research, I would not come back to this hospital for my life sake. Thinking this could only happen to others? No, Too late for me to see it myself! My mom died in this place. Horrible! I should have listened to one of the patient there telling me about the survival rate of the hospital. That was my - BIGGEST mistake - to take my mom back and forth to this hospital and i will regret for the rest of my life! The administrator on the 8th floor could only call security guards for patients families who want to address their concerns. She was really a nightmare in controlling your voice of concerns, which is really immoral. She may be a grandma of someone and yet being so inhuman to the family and patient. She came into my moms room a few times and telling me and other doctors that my mom should not be kept going with my support. She had security guard in my moms room the day she passed away and the day before, she had me out in the snow while my mom had no one by her bed. The nurse head told me to leave at the night before my mom passed away though i begging her to let me stay. The attending doctor told me could not transfer to another hospital because he didnt know anyone in the other hospital and even i had made the phone call had the other hospital dr. called him. I could have called a helicopter to get my mom to another hospital overnight if time could turn back! Its a joke wait to see your love ones life suffering and helplessly thinking this place can do anything? No. I would say doctors and nurses and administrators were the worse. Its a nightmare hospital!!!! One time after my mom had been discharged and sent back the other day, one of the attending dr called me while my mom was back in the hospital, the dr on the phone thinking she had not been discharged and she told me the x ray shown she had pneumonia, should have stayed in the hospital. What a joke for life! Her blood level went down to 3 and no one in the room to give her any blood test to find out until i urged to. So many things it would take me pages to write about it. It Had Have Happened in this hospital! She had painful suppressed lumber, the PA told me she had psychological problem. Another time It was life threatening situation that i called 911 and saved her life and the PA who was delivering discharging instruction, told me not to take her back and forth to the hospital??? She didnt even bother to check why was she admitted? Yes i should have brought her to another hospital immediately. Did she know that this was a serious mistake statement? The night before she passed away, her fever was high and body was swollen to 3x of her own size and the dr. on call saying it was alright? Nightmare is the perfect word to describe whenever driving by it. All those memories of dealing with the issue of sanitation of nurse aid did not change gloves to the negligence of doctors and the immorality of administrator makes me sick of it, It was like a dead end road there,

Incompetent, disrespectful bunch of idiot nurses that work here. I went to the emergency room for head injury 2 days ago. The lady at the front desk and the doctor that saw me are both very nice but I was really disgusted by the attitude of 2 Asian ladies that work in the emergency room: One is working in the regestration room; and the other one is working in another room inside the waiting area---- both of them treat patient in a very rude manner. I wont mention too much about the one that works in the regestration room, I would specifically talk about the one that works inside the waiting area because I personally think she is the rudest one. After I have seen my doctor, done my CT scan, I was waiting in the waiting room for the final results. Well, after Ive been waiting for about more than one hour (the time is almost 10PM), I wanted to find out how long I still had to wait before I got discharged. First I asked the security, she told me to go inside a room to ask for information where there were 2 people working in front of a computer. After hearing what I was concerning, the old black lady sitting near the door told me to ask the Asian lady further inside the room, which looks like some 16 year old girl from south east Asia(a real ugly girl by the way). I asked her nicely when I can be discharged. But to my surprise, she gave me a really nasty look like I just owed her thousands of bucks, and said in a really condescending attitude: "Who are you? Why you here? Wherere you from?" ARE YOU F**in KIDDING ME? What is this, some kind of joke? are you checking a suspected criminal, Who taught you to ask patients this sort of rude and idiotic questions? What are you, a slave driver? Did your parents taught you to speak to people like that? Didnt your parents teach you some manner? You feed your superiority complex by talking down to patients this way? Well, I have to calmed my temper down and asked her again. she showed me some really nasty body language and said" you got a go to the front desk , bla bla ..... etc" I did not bother to argue with her at the time due to my headache, but rather I talked to the doctor that just saw me in the triage room. luckily I got discharged by my doctor within 10 minutes. I forgot to ask that Asian ladys name at the time because I was in pain and also too upset, but I am sure any one who visit Queens Hospital emergency room often should know whom I am talking about. I personally think this Asian lady should be fired for having such nasty and rude attitude towards patient. How did you degenerates get your jobs anyway? Please Learn to treat patients with care and respect. At least pretend that you care for patients safety and well being, as that is a part of your job-correct? And stop openly bad mouthing patients. Disgusting
