I dont recommend this place at all. 1)You are told that you are going to be seen by "doctor" and they book you with an OD. 2) read the paperwork they give you carefully. Whether you are coming in for a contact lens exam or a fame exam they will do both, even if you specify that you do NOT want both done so they can double charge you and the insurance. I argued with the office manager that they charged me for a test I did NOT want but she was unapologetic and basically untruthful. The place in unethical and I filed a complaint with VSP and my companys health and vision coverage advocate to have them removed as a provider. I think they are not doing well financially but that is no excuse for defrauding clients. I should have known better when a woman was arguing with the front desk when I checked in! 3) they have limited frames. They claim to be David Yurman providers but their collection was limited but they promise to order others online when I sat down to find to look at other frames she was not even able to find the website! Your run of the mill Lenscrafters has a wider supply.

What a disappointment! I made appointments at Rye Eye Care because I expected the quality of service in Rye to be exceptional. Boy was I wrong! First, they automatically charge you for a picture of your eye; which costs $40. I knew this before it happened and I was okay with that. The doctor had bad breath and I grossed me out. Take two steps back or take a tick tac, geez What really made me angry was that after the exam, the girl that was supposed to help me find frames and schedule an appointment, was horrible. She was very unhelpful. She kept showing me frames that were well above what I wanted to pay...I told her my limit. Then she said that my insurance required special lenses which cost $75. I went to another eye doctors office and my lenses only cost $20. Where does that $55 go...their pocket?! She also did not schedule the appointment the doctor asked her to schedule which is fine because there is NO WAY I am going back to that place! I know I was foolish for expecting a certain standard in Rye, NY but all I found out is there con-artists everywhere.

Dr bloom is a great doctor. I went today to get the vision test report filled out by the doctor and basically they refused to fill it out but will do it electronically. I then asked because I have to go to the DMV anyway to get my picture redone could you just fill this out so I can give it to them right away and all of a sudden the person at the desk NICK was his name said oh we dont fill those out. Like but its the same thing except on a piece of paper. So now I have to rely on The airheads behind the desk to actually do there job properly and send it out while I was happy to wait for him to fill the paper. UNBELIEVABLE might be looking for a new eye doctors office

My eyes hurt so bad. It felt like I was crying glass. I had no eye Dr. to go to. On a recommendation from a friend of a friend, I called. They listened to what my ailments were and made room for me to come in. Ten years later and many referrals from me, I am still Happy to be a patient of Dr. Bloom. I had a sporting accident and lost some vision in my eye and Dr. Bloom was able to help me within a few hours and lead me to all the specialists I needed. I will not go anywhere else. They do have a wonderful caring staff. It is a family owned business. If anything goes wrong, they make it right RIGHT AWAY. I do have to say, their best staff member is Casey. :-)

I wish to commend and recognize Rye Eye Care for their excellent service and professionalism. Dr. Bloom was responsible for discovering the effects of retinal injury received from trauma as a result of an automobile accident. His professional knowledge and the high tech equipment of Rye Eye Care, saved the vision in my eye. Upon consultation with Dr. Bloom, I received laser retinal eye surgery which restored the vision in my eye. Dr Bloom is not only an outstanding ophthalmologist, he is a great and caring person. In addition, I commend the entire staff at Rye Eye Care. They are amazing people.Thank you, Joseph Zambuto

Do not trust these people!! They will do whatever they can to get more $$ for nothing. I agree with the first review, they told me I would only have to pay a couple out of pocket fees but instead i ended up paying over $200 with insurance!!and i dont even wear contacts!!! the overall energy of the office is horrible..if your not willing to spend $$$$ they treat you like crap!! they dont care about patients they care about your $. Do not support these liars and cheats. I wouldnt doubt if they had their own employees write these "great" reviews these people are the greatest con artists.

Rye Eye Care is the best! Dr.Bloom and Dr. Singh are extremely professional and are very prompt and delicate with my eyes. They are very educational when it comes to making sure I take proper care of my glasses, contact lenses and other eye needs. The front desk ladies are superior with taken care of all of my needs! They are very kind, well spoken and sweet! I love the fact that my family and myself are always welcomed and greeted as soon as I walk in. They have a great selection of glasses and their text message confirmations are awesome! I would DEFINITELY recommend them!!

Rye Eye Care is great as it always has been. I just went back for an eye exam after being away at school for another year. I have been going to them for 11 years and it has always been a positive experience. As usual my experience I have had the most thorough examination that I have ever seen done. My eyes were examined in so many ways vs. the doctors I have seen at other places which have not done anything close to similar. The office staff is extremely polite and does whatever they can to be accommodating and make you feel at home. Definitely a 5/5 in my book!

I visited Rye Eye Care about 2 weeks ago; had the opportunity and pleasure to chat with Mr. Jay in addition to showing me a few pair of glasses... and during this brief presentation I learned so much; I been wearing glasses since I was child, and I thought I knew it all! but this gentleman definitely thought me about glasses and contacts! even though I didnt purchase anything due to lack of time; But then again I believe I have found my optical store. Mr. Jay you are terrific and truly a professional!!!

I was there about a month ago for an exam with Dr. Winkler, who was great. I just came back to pick out glasses & I LOVE THEM! Thank you so much to Sue for all your help. I was weary about this place at first but when I came back, they must have changed front desk personnel who is MUCH nicer. First time, I was greeted rudely & any questions I had was answered with an attitude. This time around I felt like family even though Im a new patient, they remembered me & treated me kindly. See you next year!
