I am writing in regard to My recent experience at the Aspen Dental office in Saratoga Springs, NY. I was in on October 22nd as a new patient for tooth pain in a broken tooth. I should mention that I have not been to the Dentist for any maintenance type visits in close to ten years partially due to lack of insurance reasons but also due a few unpleasant visits in the past. This is where My whole outlook has changed in the past few days. On My original visit, a young lady by the name of Molly took all of My x-rays and couldn’t have been more congenial. She explained everything that She was doing and what I should expect next which really put My mind at ease. From there my consultation with the Dentist (who I did not get the name) was again cordial yet informative, with a thorough explanation on what I should have done. To the front desk where We made appointments for the recommended procedures were made. The Young lady that took care of Me there was Friendly and Supportive, never putting any kind of pressure on Me to do one thing or another and actually was very helpful in scheduling 2 separate appointments for 2 separate procedures. My Second time there was for an appointment for a deep cleaning under the gums (paradental?) in which I was introduced to the Hygienist Brittany. The entire experience with her was unbelievable !! From a very easing description of what She was going to be doing, that She has an outstanding Demeanor and Delivery to the process itself. I am a Big Guy and that can be an obstacle in trying to work on angles to get the job done, which is part of the issues I had in past experiences. Brittany went out of Her way to make Me comfortable and Make Me feel like She was as concerned with My comfort as She was at making sure the job was done completely. She took Her time to try different positions to get the best angle and constantly asked about comfort while telling Me what She was trying to accomplish. In the end, the biggest accomplishment that She made was that I have no reservations about showing up for My next appointment in a few weeks and am now in the mindset to go back to this Aspen Dental office for My annual maintenance. Aspen Dental has a new customer and I will be sure to pass My Experience’s on to My Family and Friends. I have known of Your business via Your NASCAR sponsorship but now can add much more to the story. I hope that there is a way of letting the staff of this office know that there work is a value? I can honestly tell You that if it weren’t for the Personal Comfort and Confidence that I received from Brittany, I would not be surprised if I cancelled the upcoming appointment due to anxiety. She is obviously very good at Her Profession and in My appointments since then has made Me feel like I have been going there for Years. By the time that My appointment was done I felt as comfortable and confident with Her as I do My Physician. The entire staff is congenial and efficient and I would recommend this location and certainly this Hygienist to anyone in need. Regards, Dan Martin Ballots Lake, NY

Went in for what I thought would be a cleaning like would have been at any dental office Ive ever been to before. Instead they did the xrays and here I am thinking the follow through would be the checkup and cleaning. Nope instead they gave me an extremely pricey estimate for my deep cleaning. The filling I havery is old and could use replacing. That was a mere 29.00 they told me at the "get a loan" desk I called it because thats what it was. Either you pay the entire a mtg or you could finance the work. My bill was quoted 1100 and change and the ins I have covers cleanings and all work that is prophylactic. The insurance was to pay 600 something, but the bill I received was for my share was 528.00, I just abouthought burst out laughing. It was a nice experience as far as staff goes, and the were indeed friendly and the covering dentist was too. Everything was explained well. But I felt it was very over priced and more of a money racket than dental office. I wish they would have explained prior to the visit because I would have went elsewhere!

Worst Service I have ever had. I am an established patient with great insurance, always paid my balance due that insurance doesnt cover. about 6 weeks ago I developed a toothache, called for an appointment but was told they had nothing to offer....ok I can understand nothing today..maybe even nothing next week but I was told they would put me on a "List" and call when something opened up. I never received a call by the following week so I called back....tooth is now in extreme pain...The person taking my call tells me again no appointments are available but she can put me on "The List". To make a long story short its been over a month, no calls from this place and now the pain is in more than one tooth. I called them one final time to see what was going on and they advised me that they are short staffed and if i wanted to come and wait in the waiting room all day they can try and get me in but no guarantees. NEVER AGAIN will I go back here.

Dr. Reyes did a good job on my root canal but then I was told that I have a growth in my mouth that would need to be removed. However they only have one oral surgeon that comes by once a month, so it was hard to schedule the procedure. And I paid for my consult out of pocket before the actual appointment (which felt odd to me because I figured my insurance would have covered that). And the morning before my appointment, they told me I had to drive to their Schenectady location, which is 45 mins out of my way. And basically the consult was a waste of time because it was literally a 5 min conversation in which the surgeon told me that he wasnt confident enough to go through with the procedure and suggested I go to a real oral surgeon. I left the office feeling confused and frustrated because I wasted $200. And so come Monday morning I will be grabbing my records and finding another dentist that will not give me the run around.

I was able to get an appointment promptly, that was about the only positive about this place. My x-ray tech asked me "whats wrong with you?" in regards to my disability, which is incredibly inappropriate and invasive. The dental hygienist behaved appropriately and kindly, but I waited 30 minutes alone in an exam room after getting my x-rays done to see her, which seemed excessively long. Finally, the dentist herself, after I informed her my hands do not work enough to allow me to hold floss, because of my disability, handed me a piece of floss and asked me to show her. This was also incredibly inappropriate. Then she lectured me on how to floss. Im disabled, not unaware of the importance of dental hygiene. Im pretty much disgusted with the way I was treated here. Youd expect medical professionals to have some idea on how to deal with disabled people, but apparently not.
