I live about 5 minutes from this hospital and so far everyones opinion about this hospital is true. This Hospital does not care about any animals all they care about is making money the first thing they do before even looking at the animals is ask you for money you have to fill out paperwork, then they ask you for money. They will actually keep the animal if you decide not to pay 1 day I was there and I had brought my dog there after her not being able to breathe. I ran out of the house with my dog to the hospital so I did not bring my wallet or any money after they had seen the dog I was there with my daughter and I told them I was going to go home to go get my wallet and change because I had just left in pajamas with no money. The lady there actually said to me you cannot leave you have to leave someone here I couldnt believe what I was hearing I asked her to repeat herself and she said that I couldnt leave with my daughter if there was someone that could stay there because she was worried that I wasnt going to come back to pay them meanwhile my dog is still there and I just went through this traumatizing experience and this is how I get treated . I wouldnt recommend anyone go to this place unless you want to get ripped off or treated poorly or have your babies (animals) treated bad. Its sad to see people so hungry for money instead of caring about whats really important here which is the animals lifes!!!

We brought our dog to this facility because she had suddenly lost control of her hind legs. The vet suggested they keep her over night for xrays and "further testing". In the morning we learned they had only treated her for pain and only had time for one xray because they were "too busy." They suggested we leave our dog there until 5 (more money). When we refused, they informed us she needed to see a neurologist immediately. The worst part of this is that they knew this since the night before when they had done the initial xray (the only one they did) and instead of referring us to a neurologist then, they wasted precious hours of our dogs life when she could have been treated. It sickens me to think about this. When we arrived at the neurologist and saw the MRI results we learned there was too much damage to our dogs spine and pain medication was not supposed to be given because it promotes movement. We also learned that the severe damage had occurred in the last 24 hours. We had brought her in too late and there was nothing they could do. The only humane thing would be to put her to sleep. Which we had no choice at this point but to do. This clinic charged us $1300 and kept our dog overnight...when they knew they couldnt treat her. I would strongly consider another option

On Sunday Jan 20 ,2012 we took our beloved pet to the clinic. We were very pleased to know they were open and we could bring in our dog at 5:30 in the morning. He was having difficulty breathing and was very sick. They were wonderful caring, compassionate people. All my questions as to fees were answered truthfully and respectfully. The diagnosis was not good and the vet Joseph Azagrar gave us all our options for treatment. They were respectful of our private time to decide and grieve and we did not feel rushed. We did decide to put him down and they were so kind to us till the final moments of my little guys life The vet explained everything that was going to happen so we would know what to expect. The end was very peaceful for my pet. We were also given a little paw print cast piece as a rememberence for no charge. I wad also given cremation info as to were the ashes would be taken which I was never given before when I put a pet down. I have read other reviews that were not as favorable as mnie, I cant believe it was the same place. Our experience there at a very difficult time could not have been any better. I give them 5 stars

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE!!! I loved Dr. G. but I hate the place and its policies. After coming home to bloodbath, I learned that my lab puppy had a small cut on the tip of his ear that had apparently exposed a major artery. After three hours of holding him down, applying pressure, ice and baking soda nothing would stop or slow the bleeding. I then raced to the Emergency Pet Vet and learned that it would cost me over $800 to sedate him and apply one to two stitches (PRETTY STEEP!!) and that I had to pay in full for them to do anything. Well, it was the middle of the night, I had gone unexpectedly and my husband was out of town on business, I had NOTHING on me. So lo and behold, I had to take my dog home, not before being charged $125.00 for the emergency fee, basically gauze. I spent the entire night laying on the floor holding towels on his ear and praying it would stop. No compassion, no understanding, no payments, nothing. Sent me home and said good luck!! Would NEVER go back and highly recommend no one else go either.

I brought my vomiting cat. Only one vet on duty so there was a long wait. Their walls a paper thin with a sliding door in between the exam rooms and you can hear the conversation being held in the next room. While waiting for the doctor I was put next room to a couple who had brought in their sick dog in. They received terrible news and were heartbroken to have to put their dog down. I, myself, was in tears hearing this news through the thin wall. I told the assistant that I would like to wait in the main waiting room because I couldnt stand hearing the poor couple sobbing and wanted to give them some privacy. That is my main complaint about this place. Please invest in soundproofing your walls. My cat needed x-rays and blood work. The doctor came back with the results and she was very good at explaining very clearly the state of health of my kitty and how to follow up. In conclusion, I was there for a total 4 hours, the service was very good but the state of the building is lacking.

This place should be investigated for robbing people. You go there because your pet is sick , your streesed out and emotional. They come in like henchmen putting the love for your animal as a representation of your wallet. Its so sad to take advantage of people when they are in a time of stress and need. The fees are astronomical and insulting to anyone who truly loves animals. They reel you in and within moments your over a thousand dollars. Every answer given by the staff leads to more money out of your pocket.I kept my dog there long enough until my regular vet opened.1500.00 dollars for 7 hours and a IV and Xray. They should have done a rape kit on me for free. I cant recommend a place that capitalized on the love for my animal in a time of need . Go to your regular or be willing to spend thousands with no real regard for your beloved pet, only the money. Most will read this after they have been scammed out of a weeks pay.Shame on you Animal Emergency Services - Bad Job
