If I can give the place -5 stars I would. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!! I just received a puppy for my bday and the same day I received her she started to vomit her dog food. Being a new pet owner I freaked out and rushed her here. (I googled here and it was the closest) they are money HUNGRY THEIVES who stole my puppy!! Once I arrived with her they rushed her in and about an hour with no clear answer proceeded to tell me she was really really sick and she wouldnt make it through the night. And even if she would they would have to put her down because thats how bad off she "was". After they give me a $985 bill and say u have to pay this in full asap and u can take your sick dog home, with prescriptions and treatments that woulda cost me money I couldnt afford. They then tell me another option is to sign my ownership rights over to them because it would be pointless to take her home because she woulda "died that night" is what they told me, I was soo hurt so I signed my rights over just so she can have a fighting chance because for one I couldnt afford an almost $1,000 bill that I had to pay that night and they said she was tooo sick to even survive the night. So I signed her over distraught and went home. The next morning I called to check up on her and they TOLD ME SHE WAS HEALTHY AND DOING GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they couldnt give me any information because I "signed over rights and no longer have ownership" Im sooooooo upset right now, they basically stole my puppy and lied to me about her health. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS AWFUL PLACE

I want to thank the horrible "Doctors" for killing my dog because they refused to help him without payment first. Went in one day was told that my dogs symptoms were non life threatening I paid $550 and no solution or even a reason for my dog being so sick. They told me that I should take him home....24 hours later brought the same dog they wouldnt treat him unless I gave them money I asked for a few hours to try to get someone to help me they rushed me and told me that it would be Inhumane to keep him alive. The manager told me that she had a similar situation and that it was best to put him down. They did accept a payment arrangement to euthanize him. If I wanted the ashes though they couldnt make the payment arrangement. Finally they put him down. The next day my other dog started to experience the same symptoms as my other dog. They wanted to charge $200 more for the SAME EXACT treatment they did for my other dog....why or how the prices were higher I dont know. But nonetheless I finally realized this place is not the place to bring my dog I paid another $100 to got y dog out of there and took her to another location needless to say money wasnt even discussed until after they started treating her. And a payment arrangement was made. My dog was saved....this place is where unless you have $4000 sitting around for pet emergencies your pet will be put down... I lost one dog but saved another.... Screw this place and the disgusting staff...

My experience with this business is the following: Their biggest concerns is on how you intend to pay for the bill and with that being said. You walk out of there without a clear diagnose on what is really going with your pet. On my 1st visit which was exactly on 03/30/16, I really didnt get a diagnose of what my pet had, but yes I was billed nearly $400 for sedation, and other few things done where it didnt make any sense nor did the math add up on the procedure and care my pet received. When I asked why I was being charged so much and the amount, I was told, "Thats what it is" I feel the consumer should get a full explanation on what were facing before hand instead of trying to rush off the customer with a bill and leave it at that. The Vet Tech managed to reduce about 29.99 from the bill because it was an administrative fee that didnt make any sense what so ever. I am still puzzled with the idea on how this place manages to stay in business and not shut down for possible fraudulent charges and fees collected from each customer. Business like these should be really looked at to see if they are really following state laws and following a chart on how much they are allowed to charge a customer for certain services to our pets. I feel they charge way to much for what they do and they get a bit abrasive when asked questions.

Took my dog here for a minor treatment (expressing glands - common issue amongst beagles). When I came in, I asked the receptionist if the vet could check her glands, and if need be, express them. The receptionist advised that the vet could do that, and advised she would take my dog in back while we got checked in. Being told that this was to get my dog checked in, I allowed the receptionist to bring my dog in back. When she showed me to the room, I requested that she bring my dog in with me. Only then was I told that my dog was getting a physical examination completed by the vet. I immediately objected revieiwing what I requested for my dogs treatment, and advised I had never been told that she would be getting examed. At that time, both receptionists interjected saying that the office has always done this. Years ago when I brought another dog in for treatnent, they never separated me from the dog, and forced a physical exam to take place. When I told the receptionists this, they objected saying that the office policy has always been that way. I demanded my dog and left before I anything else could happen. Never have I felt so set up or tricked. This veterinary office should be ashamed of their business practices; not to mention, of their ill-informing staff. Extremely disappointed and disturbed.

My cat was hit by a car in the middle of the night, and the closest (and open) place I could bring him to was this place. The staff was very helpful and patient with me, as I was bawling my eyes out over my cat. They quickly took us in and checked him out immediately. He was very badly injured, with head trauma that caused his eyes to dilate differently from one another, as well as a broken jaw and ribcage. They informed me that they could perform surgery, however it would have been $3000 upwards. He would also have to be monitored constantly and would not live a normal life. I couldnt afford the surgeries and didnt want him to suffer an abnormal lifestyle, so I had to put him down. It was so hard to make the decision, and they knew I was extremely devastated. They were so kind and waived the initial checkup fee, as well as euthanization, because they knew I loved him so much and wanted to save him. They even sent me a card a week later, which was super sweet of them.

On a Saturday afternoon, when my regular vets office was closed, my son and I brought my 16-year-old cat to the CT Veterinary Center (W.H.) thinking she had a scratch on her eye. When it turned out that she had extensive cancer in her mouth, I made the decision to put her to sleep. From the technician who took my information, to the doctor (Dr. Jacquelyn Kubis) who examined my cat, to the technician who handled the payment as I spent some final moments saying goodbye, we were treated with the utmost kindness and compassion. Dr. Kubis was completely professional and at the same time very understanding. And the bill was about the same as what I paid years ago in a similar situation at my own vet. Each person has a unique experience, of course, but I can say that I was very satisfied with the emergency services at CT Veterinary Center. For me and my family it was the right place with the right staff in our time of need.
