I would not recommend this center at all. We switch to them so that my kids do eye therapy Dr. Grossman and improve their eye sight. They do have nice equipment. However, four out of four glasses were incorrectly ordered. Their staff could not get one thing right. To top everything, they are arrogant. When I complained about their service, one of the girl at the eye center said "you can go somewhere else". So, I did. Now, they keep calling us and asking us why we dont make an appointment for our annual checkup. My last encounter was when I saw Dr. Grossman for a dry eye issue. My normal co-pay is $20. But, they said, I have to pay sixty some dollar because they had to rechecked my prescription lens, which had been done couple of months before. I paid with hesitation. To keep with their incompetency, my bill was submitted to the insurance with my sons name. Of course the insurance has rejected their claim. So, they are sending me a bill for another $69.

Ive been a happy patient at Somers Eye for over 20 years now. Even though Ive moved several times over that period, the experience has been positive enough to warrant the extra drive time. Dr. Ranani and everyone at the office have been professional, friendly, and fully knowledgeable, yet explain everything in a way that is easily understood. They have a tremendous selection of frames and contacts, and genuinely want you to leave the office each time feeling as if youve been well cared for. The integrity of care is also consistent throughout the office; Ive never been encouraged to spend on anything unnecessary, and at times have even been encouraged not to spend on things in which Ive expressed interest, that the staff believed wouldnt be best for me as a patient. Five Stars.

I went here because it was the only place my insurance would accept. So i was prepared for the worst and hoping just to get a referral to a specialist because I have eye issues. I was feeling a little hopeless about my vision WOW. Such a friendly front desk, the place was bustling but I was examined right away. Dr. Ranini thoroughly checked my eyes and explained my options. He reassured me that they would work with me to get the vision possible. AND they have! Sherry in the lens dept tried numerous lens and the Doctor would double check not letting me settle for good enough. A week later they tweaked my prescription again to make sure it was optimal. I am a much more confident driver and happy reader. Highly recommend

The Doctors and staff are extremely polite and very knowledgeable. They explain the items they find wrong and what can be done to correct them. The staff is very friendly and assist with what may be deemed trivial stuff. They dont seem to mind. They took the time to look up information on my insurance before I made a decision on what to get through the insurance. The doctor took the time to explain everything to me. She also took the time to review, with me, the last session I had there and go over the differences giving me a clearer picture on what is going on with my eyesight.

My brother and I (both from out of state) brought in my 94yr old mom for an updated exam while we were visiting her in a local nursing home. She is cognizant so is able to understand the explanations, and Dr. Ranani spoke to her directly and clearly and answered all of her questions. The staff, although crazy busy that afternoon, were patient with all of my questions and made sure all information they had was correct.

The staff & doctors are very friendly & caring. They take the time to listen to you and you never feel rushed. They have a huge selection of glasses to choose from. They also are great with children...they look forward to their yearly eye exam :)

Great eye doctors! Everyone on the staff is so friendly and helpful and the doctor explained everything clearly. They even distracted my kids for a few minutes while I was trying to choose frames by bringing out the goodie box!
