I read all these reviews and after I was skeptical of going to this place, because when I had made my appt. the woman was quite rude to me over the phone and did not understand what kind of insurance I had. But I kept my appt. because I figured everyone thinks someone is rude at one point of another and its hard for me to find good doctors because I am on medicaid. So I decided to be sweet as pie when I went in, to ensure I had no trouble. The staff were all so nice, so helpful. Seriously. It was top ten best experiences Ive ever had at a doctor. They gave me the correct prescription finally, I was in and out in under a half hour and the frame collection was extremely extensive. I made a point to come back on this website and make a positive review, because this place is sadly being undersold. I will NEVER go ANYWHERE ELSE for glasses again.

My 85 year old mother has been a patient of Dr. Helfand for many years. She always speaks so highly of him and says no other optometrist is able to help her the way Dr. Helfand has. He is very thorough and considerate. In fact, when I accompanied her on one occasion, he examined my optic nerves because I have multiple sclerosis and was concerned about optic neuritis. I live out of town and I am not a regular patient of Dr. Helfand, yet he did not even charge me for this and he was very reassuring about the condition of my eyes. He is a wonderful professional with an understanding and generous character. God bless Dr. Helfand!

Dr. Helfand is a great Doctor, however the guy who fills your script is not so nice i have witnessed him treat the elderly with the upmost dis respect !!!!! It broke my heart how he speaks to them, he believes he has you boxed because Dr. Helfand is a good Doctor, NEWS you dont have to stay with him to fill your script, you can take your script ANYWHERE you want, friendly businesses would be happy to serve a paying/nonpaying customer :).........Wally IS NOT PART OF DR. HELFAND HE JUST RENTS SPACE IN THIER OFFICE......

Dr. Helfand is one of the best Optometrist. He never turned me away, even when I didnt have insurance. I very highly recommend him. He is kind, gentle and considerate. And he has never steered me wrong. His staff are very professional but also caring. If you are looking for an optometrist - look no more.

this place is very unorganized . i went in four times for my contacts. And then after i went through the entire process they told me they didnt have my information on file and that i had to go through the entire process again. Even after i told them i went through it. They insisted that i didnt.

I take my 6 yrs old here and the doctor is so nice. He has a great sense of humor and made her feel so comfortable. It was a breeze because she was so scared when she first arrived and by the time he did the exam she was having fun. I would definetly recommend for pediatrics. Thank you.

I was recently experiencing some trouble with my eye sight and decided it was time to get my eyes examined. I found Dr. Helfands information on this Google page and scheduled an appointment. He was so helpful and kind. Now I go to him for whatever I need for my glasses and contacts.

My 5 year old had his first eye exam.. and Dr. Helfand was absolutely wonderful.. patient, funny, detailed and clearly he loves kids. The experience was extremely pleasant.. actually my son didnt want to leave.. LOL.. I highly recommend him.

My son and I loved how effecient and personable the staff and Dr Hefland are. Our glasses were ready the next week, we were not forced or talked in to buying any extras or overpriced frames and we can see more clearly.
