In 1983 my dog Sparky had been bouncing off furniture and acting like a drunk human occassionally. Went to numerous vets and no one had an answer. I asked some people with dogs for a recommendation and the people I asked (they didnt know one another) recommended Dr. Kinnear. On my first visit I told Dr. Kinnear how my dog was acting. He said - point blank - your dog is epileptic. He treated non-aggressively for the safety of kidneys and liver. He was (and sort of has been) my vet since then. Why cant all vets have his knowledge and expertise. He is the best dog doctor I have ever known. I hope this review not only does him justice but gets broadcasted to help those animal owners who need a Dr. Kinnear.

I called with an early morning emergency as my dog had ripped his nail off and was bleeding pretty severely. The staff was courteous and quick to offer help even though we were not regular patients there, telling me to bring the dog right in. Dr. Shull tended to our baby with the utmost care and compassion. He was hypersensitive to our nervousness, constantly explaining with great patience, what he was going to do to help. Doctor Shull had amazing bedside manner and confidence that was so appreciated. I would highly recommend!

Dr. Esposito and staff are professional and caring vets who take good care of your pets. Our Bella was recently diagnosed with Cushings disease and received the best of care from RV. She was in bad shape in the beginning but now she is back to her happy self. The care was second to none. Everything was explained fully to us and her treatment was closely monitored. Dr Esposito even called to check on Bella after hours. Thank you Richmond Valley for giving us our Bella back. Youre our Vets for life!!

Ive been coming to Richmond Valley for over 15 years now with my family dog growing up and now my own dogs. Most of those years have been with Dr. Esposito who I cant say enough good things about. She goes above and beyond and truly cares for all the animals in her care. Over the years Ive seen just about every veterinarian at Richmond Valley and have never been disappointed by anyone. They are all excellent doctors and everyone from the vet techs to the staff are great people.

Theres no better bet than Dr Macia and his team. He has a heart of gold and I would not have pets if he was not practicing. He actually came to my home and cared enough to have respect for my pup when I had to put him down a few years ago. I now have two boys and they see no one other than Dr. Macia. I dont know what I or my little guys would do without him. He is an angel

I had so many questions as a new dog parent and they patiently answered all of them. I live on the North Shore and happily travel to the end of the Island to Richmond Valley.... I had an emergency and called before I came in. I was seen immediately and Dr. Shull and his assistants helped to calm us down as well as attend to my dog. Overall the procedure was fast, they knew what they were doing from the get go, and their bedside manner was above and beyond amazing.
