We have been long time clients of Walden Animal Clinic, approximately 10 years. Prior, we had moved around a lot and have experienced other vets. We have always had dogs. Our visits to Walden had been routine and the service provided was always above and beyond. Not quite what we were used to in the past. Three years ago our dog Stash had suddenly developed cancer in her front leg. We would do all that we could for her. She was terribly abused for years prior until we took her home. She deserved that second chance . She had surgery and was doing great. Eight months later, she woke up shivering beyond control. She couldnt move about on her own. We were at Dr. Kellys office at 8 a.m.. Everyone at Walden Animal Clinic felt our pain and concern. They immediately took her in and started performing multiple tests. It was determined that she need a sonogram. It was our choice to bring her across the river rather than go to Jersey. The sonogram, results were wrong. I explained to Dr. Kelly, there was absolutely, no way that some sort of bones were lodged in her stomach. They kept her overnight to control her symptoms and monitor her. Dr. Kelly kept us informed throughout the night as did his staff. He clearly didnt clock out at 6 p.m.. First thing the next morning, Dr. Kelly explained she was very depressed and was not responding to any medication. He suggested surgery to see what exactly was going on. He did and determined that her stomach was filled with cancer. We had to let go of Stash and ease her pain and suffering. We can tell you how Dr. Kelly and each and everyone of his staff treated Stash like their own. Everyone in that office did everything possible to keep us informed and up to the minute on any results. They all cried with us, the hugs and condolences were truly sincere. It was an hour where we all lost something so dear to us. We will never forget how much they put into trying to save her! Four months later our "Princess Hedy Girl" had developed a growth in her mouth. Surgery was performed to remove it and it was determined it was an aggressive cancer. She too was severely abused. I saw her being hit by a car. She had no tags. I brought her home after the emergency vet determined she was a little scraped up but would be ok. I located her owner through a vet in the area where she originally was adopted out. She had been shot several times but survived. I contacted him and he said he didnt want her anymore, he didnt have the time for her. Anyhow she was with us for 5 years and again Dr. Kelly and all of his staff felt her pain as well as ours. After the surgery, we decided that radiation and kemo would not be the way to go. We knew Hedy would only have a month at most to enjoy what was left of her life. She did. Even on her last day with us she was smiling and looking to the sky as if to say" Stash, we will be together again soon." One week later, for 8 hours in the late night she began having seizures. Over and over again. The cancer had gone to her brain. First thing in the morning, we were at Dr. Kellys office. We, again had to let another precious part of our family go. Everyone one in that office, as we walked with Hedy to her final moments, hugged her and kissed her. Held her tight, held us tight. We were all a family and again, will never forget the sincere compassion for Hedy, my husband and I. There were 4 of us with Hedy when she took her last breath. Two of Dr. Kellys assistants were kneeling on the floor with us, crying as much as we were. I still cannot ever forget how compassionate they were. Ok, we again have 4 dogs, everything has been positive for 3 years. As you can expect, we make frequent visits to Walden Animal Clinic. To this day, we cannot expect any more than Dr. Kelly and his staff have given us and our dogs. They are truly exceptional, compassionate and caring. We have never felt like we or our dogs were slighted in any way.. Truly the best care of any vet in the area. Please, take it from me, I know.

I have been going to Dr. Kelly for more than a decade and theres a reason for that. Dr. Kelly and his staff are extremely compassionate and take the time to know you and your pet. Ive brought multiple pets from ferrets to cats to my current dogs and I will never go anywhere else. There was a couple instances where I had to bring my past pets to an emergency visit (ex flannery) when it was a major holiday (Christmas) or past business hours and it was a horrible experience. Dr. Kelly is amazing. He (and his staff) are extremely compassionate, helpful and tell you exactly what the issue is without any extra charges or tests (that are unnecessary and just for extra money in their pocket). I have recommended Dr. Kelly on numerous occasions for this reason. Walden Animal Clinic is 5 + star ratings on my many, many, MANY experiences.

Dr. Kellys expert and kind care, and ditto for the excellent staff that hes hired, has been crucial for rescuing two little Shih Tzus that were undernourished and in poor health when they came into our lives. These little creatures were also traumatized behaviorally by whatever terrible things had befallen them. Dr. Kelly and his staff have gone beyond the call of duty in turning these two mistreated dogs into friendly, happy, healthy little creatures. On the recommendation of a local animal expert, we took our recently departed lab to the Walden Animal Clinic. We were already highly satisfied clients when Dr. Kelly started treating our Shih Tzus. Now we are exceptionally satisfied and grateful clients.

Charlie loves going the vet, he luvs everyone there and is treated like family. Its great to know that he trusts you all so much and feels safe in your care..whether for treatment or boarding. The Staff is amazing and Dr. Kelly and Dr. Richs love of animals is so transparent in their genuine care and concern of our four legged family members. We just moved to the area and Walden Animal Clinic is just down the road from us. The initial visit was simple yet nice, establishing my cat as a patient. Unfortunately less than a year later the next visit determined that my cat was gravely ill. Dr. Kelly was amazing, thorough and specific about everything. My poor cat went to heaven a week later. I am very pleased with this veterinary office, will use it again in the future, and would highly recommend it.
