I recently moved from Arizona where I was a happy Banfield customer. Unfortunately, Im so disappointed with the service at the Union location. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes after your scheduled appointment time to be seen. At my last visit I had to wait around an hour before my dog was finally seen. If you dont like to wait, then they offer a "VIP treatment" where they take your pet to the back to provide the services, but you get charged for the full office visit (plus the service) even though you dont get to see the doctor. Its basically less time for you (and the vet), but the same price. I personally think they double book their appointments to get people to opt for the "VIP treatment". Like the other review, I agree that they push the plan down your throat. Final straw was when I was quoted $35 + the cost of an office visit for anal gland expression. I checked around for other prices and I was quoted $15-25 at other clinics. Granted, my dog will be ushered back for the service at these other clinics instead of having an office visit, but Banfield Union said they would do the same and charge for the office visit ("VIP treatment"). So if you like spending more money for the same service and want to feel like you and your pet are walking dollar signs, then I would recommend this place.

I waited a long time for this appointment for my 1 year old pup. They called and canceled it twice. Every time they rescheduled it, I had to wait 2 weeks. After a little over a month, I finally got this appointment to check for heart worms. When I got there, DJ, a front desk representative, was highly disrespectful and rude. I waited for a little over half an hour to be seen and DJ was telling me that this visit was only to see if my dog had ticks. I quickly noted that it wasnt for ticks, that it was for heart worm just as I told all the representatives who called me and canceled me because the Vet was going way on vacation. She then continued to have a nasty attitude towards my dog telling him to shut up when he barked at another dog when he wanted to play and said "Shut up Watson, this is not how we do it here...get down from the counter (when he was just standing trying to get my attention.) DJ repeatedly told my dog to shut up. The vet didnt explain much and was just trying to sell his medicine instead of working with me when I simply asked for Bravecto and he told me no you have to buy Simparica which was out of pocket $83.66 with Banfields Wellness Plan. Definitely not happy with the visit. Especially how they treated my dog.

I dont recommend this place at all. If you need an appointment, itll take weeks before you get one. They are often closed because theres only one doctor. And forget about getting your pet seen the same day you call if it gets sick. The Wellness Plan is another nightmare. I have tried to cancel twice, and somehow I cant because the total of the services we have used, are more than the combined amount of montly payments. So I either pay the exceeding amount $400 plus, or continue with montly payments until the amount is paid off. But if I take my pet again, the amount will keep increasing.

Always waiting . When you have an appointment be prepare to wait:( service is ok but waiting is long. Good luck even making an appoitment.My dog was sick with a pink eye and they offer me appoitment 2 weeks later!!! Its been couple of months now since that visit, and I have to say that waiting time shortened.We had a chance to see the same doctor,which is a plus .what I like about Banfield is that once you in the plan and you have a visit you get a print papers on information about the visit and updates about shots. Place is clean and the stuff are polite and helpful.

Banfield is basically a business thats all there no compassion for your pets its all about money and selling the wellness plan constantly to you basically if youre not willing to spend every dime you have in that one visit youre stuck waiting for the vets way past your appointment time they people in the front desk are incompetent and its not only this location because Ive tried other banfields honestly in my best opinion youre better off going to a non profit vet for cheaper and where people actually care

Ive never been disappointed with the vets at Banfield in Union and the staff has always been very friendly to my family and most especially our dog. I recently referred friends who unfortunately had to euthanized their dog due to kidney failure and I must say Dr. Rivas and the entire staff present on the day they had to put the dog down was very sensitive and accommodating to both the pet and family.

Dr Walsh is by far the best doctor my dogs ever been too she made me and Chaz very happy extremely dedicated and caring I highly recommend her !!! Her staff is also very caring highly recommended

The staff here is extremely friendly and ive never had any issues when bringing my two cats here! I highly recommend that pet owners bring their pets here as theyll get the best care every visit.
