Sadly my girlfriend had to put her dog, Orlando, down yesterday. He was brought from a veterinary hospital to her house to spend few hours with his family before his appointment at the Orchard hospital for his injection. Orlando had an IV catheter already in place from the other hospital. When this tall, skinny, older veterinarian at Orchard injected the lethal fluid to Ollie, the catheter was place incorrectly, so Ollie jumped, and screamed of pain till his very last second. Ollies mom, sister and I also did. I have no words to describe how terrified, scared, sad, overwhelmed we were and still are to see Ollie leaving us so painfully. THE VETERINARIAN @ ORCHARD NEVER CHECKED THE CATHETER B4 INJECTING OLLIE. IT WAS HIS "PROFESSIONAL -as a doctor- RESPONSIBILITY" TO CHECK THE CATHETER, AND HE DIDNT. My heart is broken and I am sad. Ollies eyes, screams and movements were full of terror and pain.

I just went back for our annual check up and Dr Alison Knox took care of my kitty, Tess. She is truly a wonderful addition to the staff - very knowledgable and caring and referred me to a great website for cats for extra information! Again, I cant imagine going anywhere else for my cat care as there are two really wonderful options at Orchard! Dr. John Eustis has been taking care of my cats since he started his practice in VT many years ago. He and his staff are always so kind and compassionate and have the most wonderful way with the kitties. I cannot imagine having anyone else take care of them! He is actually our family vet as my daughter also brings her pets here. We both feel very fortunate to have found him and all the nice people who work with him!

Would recommend to family and friends. Two stories... my dog got into a pu pu platter and ended up ingesting 2 spare ribs and 3 chicken wings. Orchard pulled some strings and made space for an emergency x-ray the VERY NEXT MORNING : -) Also, my 90 lb chocolate lab doesnt like shiny floors, and the staff at Orchard Veterinary Hospital helped me get him through the door with smiles on their faces. Not only are they nice to pets, but they are extremely friendly to owners too. If my family lived in the Chittenden County region, I would make sure they switched their primary vet to Orchard Veterinary Hospital. Dr. John Eustis and his staff are the best!

Wonderful experience at Orchard, my dog Remy developed an unusual leg infection overnight while vacationing here in Vermont. Dr. Knox took him first thing in the morning for an emergency visit, no questions asked. She did a thorough examination, performed several blood and fluid tests on site, diagnosed the problem and prescribed an appropriate course of antibiotics. She was thoughtful about cost of additional testing and did not prescribe overly expensive antibiotics. The entire staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and caring. I was really impressed with their care and am very grateful for their great service. I highly recommend Orchard Vet!

I have been using Orchard Veterinary Hospital since I got my new pup over three years ago. I can only say that I am so pleased that I decided to change my veterinarian to Dr. John Eustis and his delightful staff. All are truly dedicated to making my dog relaxed, welcomed, and cared for. Dr.John is extremely knowledgeable, listens to what you have to say and proceeds as is necessary. It shows that he loves what he does. His staff always greet you with a smile and are so friendly and kind to your animal. I highly recommend Orchard Veterinary Hospital to anyone who wants the best for their animals.

Took our corgi here to get him up to date on his shots. Best vet weve seen in a while. The location was easy to find, and both the lobby and appointment room were very clean. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy about products or services. The dog was given (possibly too many) treats as his shots were administered. We had to go twice to get him completely up to date and through a treatment for Lymes...Both times he loved it there. The prices were below what we expected to pay, downright reasonable anywhere, let alone in Burlington! Well be back again.

I called Orchard at 2:30 this afternoon because I was worried about a severe rash on my dogs snout. They said they were booked but when I told them I felt like it may be an emergency they fit me in at 5:00 pm. The staff was very friendly and helpful and really seemed like they cared. Also I am not a regular I am from Rhode Island and just picked them off of the web...so glad I did. Also the price was the most reasonable vet bill Ive ever gotten. 3 prescriptions and a sick dog exam and it was under 150.00 ...amazing! Thank you to everyone at Orchard Veterinary Hospital!!!

The friendliest staff in town! They patiently answer all of my (MANY) questions, keep me informed on new options for medications, etc. I love that they call a few days after any incident to check in. The best part, Rogerdog isnt even nervous or stressed when we get there, unlike any of the other vets weve been to. Pricing is reasonable and straightforward. Love the little things like email reminders for vaccines and appointments, and calendar sync.

We have brought all of our animals to John at Orchard for the past few years and have been very happy with everything. John and his staff have always been great with us but this past week when we put down our 13 year old German Shepard his team went beyond what I would expect from another vet. They took the time to creat a wonderful card with our good friends paw print stamped on it and heartfelt messages from his staff. Thank you Orchard.

I have been taking my dog to Orchard for a few years and am sadly leaving because I have moved out of state. Mia is an older dog and has some health issues. The vets at Orchard have always been helpful when these problems arise. The staff is always courteous and always listens to my concerns. I am never rushed through an appointment. John Eustis is the best veterinary surgeon, and his staff is made of the best animal care-givers Ive ever met. All of my visits were with rats, John and his staff could not get enough stars in my opinion. They are among the most compassionate people Ive come across.

John is the best vet in the world. Truthful, knowledgable and direct. He doesnt cut corners or try and sell you on things just to make a buck. Orchard Veterinary are more than just a vet to me and my animals, they are friends.
