I have been going here for years! I have 3 dogs and we had to sadly put one down 4 years ago. The dog I put down had a prolonged life because of Dr. Wen and he had to put him down finally after one year. The day I brought him in his staff up front was so rude and uncaring of the situation. They could care less at all to be honest. for the next 4 years up until a few months ago I brought my 2 other dogs and my new puppy. All was fine but I started to notice that he really did not say much or really care that much about their well being. I have an 11 year old shih zhu and noticed for about one year that she was not losing weight and was really slowing down. She had an enlarged belly and I was worried. I kept asking him to check her out. He did not so anything., She started to cough and hack daily as well. He says it is allergies and gave me herbs. after 2 months nothing changed. He did not do a thing.... Finally after almost one year I tell him we need an xray...Am I the vet now??? Turns out she has a collapse trachea. After that, we had a cyst removed and after that, she could not walk...I was really confused so I call the office He did not even look at her and tells me to give her an aspirin!! I bring her in 2 weeks later and tell him she cannot walk...he says well she is to FAT!!! Who says that?? That was it!! I took her to Peace Love Pets in Commack and $1000 later she has severe hip dysplasia, bad joints and an Adrenal Tumor! Possible a bronchial disease! SO he did not even care to look at all of it and now she is running again!! I am still looking for a good holistic vet who uses essential oils.

When we first saw Dr Wen, we were very happy with him however, when we took Snuggles to Dr Wen 6 weeks ago regarding her issue with having accidents, it seemed the only two possibilities were us adding a little bit of water to her food or a behavioral issue. At the time, he was not interested our thoughts or concerns. Monday, we took Snuggles to the emergency vet in Riverhead after she had two seizures where an x-ray showed a possible mass on her bladder, an enlarged liver and blood work showed elevated liver enzymes. We took her for an ultrasound yesterday which confirmed the results of the x-ray but also showed quite a number of other tumors in her abdomen. Given her rapidly deteriorating condition and the extreme unlikelihood of any meaningful recovery, we made the very difficult decision to put her down. Had Dr Wen looked beyond his tunnel vision of the issue and his suspected cause and listened to us, who knows our dog better than anyone else, the final outcome may or may not have been different but we could have been far better prepared for what we needed to do yesterday. The close to $3000.00 we spent for the emergency care, testing and to euthanize our sweet Snuggles is an additional punch in the gut. Simple blood work or an x-ray would likely have saved us a lot of heartache and we could have possibly sought treatment. Now it is far too late for that.

weve been going here for most of our lives... As animal rehabilitators for local wildlife as well as for family pets. Weve been with Dr. Wen & Johnson before the "hype" and well stay after the hype. Our one dog beat cancer here with these Drs. Thats enough for me. Its more common for ppl to write bad reviews to warn others then to praise the good. I did have one experience where Dr. Wen was aggravated with me, and frankly i deserved it, my puppy was suffering because i didnt do the right thing quickly enough. Must be hard to watch ppl not take care of there animals. And ya know what, it worked and i am totally more aware of my pups issues now & when to get help for them. Doctors are people and i believe these people at hampton vet are better then most, and they are the only ones i will trust my baby with. Much luv and thanks for Hampton vet & all of its staff.

Was recommended to Dr Wen for my minature Poms terrible hair loss black skin (alopecia). Very disappointed in the results as we gave my little Joli a combination of 2 herbal remedies that did absolutely nothing in helping my poor dog. Even after a full year and a half nothing no hair grew at all. On my own I researched and researched until I found a product called DERMAGIC simply a peppermint shampoo and conditioner once a month and then a daily rubdown of her coat with.a rescue lotion. My.dog today after 8 months has the most beautiful coat you have ever seen. Please reference PETPOM online my beautiful dog is one of the dogs features in the story regarding Black skin disease. Dr Wen probably had good intentions but it was useless and a waste of time.

Stay away from this place. They put my dog on meds. Never did baseline blood work never checked him while he was in for office visits for other stuff. Finally after a couple of visits I told them my dog could not walk without laying down and resting. They never listened to his chest. I finally asked for xrays and blood work. They "lost" the results for two days. Finally my dog could not get up and I brought him in. They said he had a raging infection, Pneumonia and kidney failure. We had to put him down. He was only two and a half years old. They are more concerned about pushing their stupid herbals then following medical protocol. There are many other good vets in the area.

Dr Wen is my only choice for my dogs when they start having difficulty with their legs..I avoided invasive, expensive surgery and rehab with his herb supplements. Miracle worker is not an exaggeration. Everyone is kind and caring of the patients and the animals. Also you do not have to break the bank to pay for it all. No one pushes an onslaught of expensive and unnecessary vaccinations either----- most of us animal owners know they way too often do more harm than good and oh, your pet got sick from a rare something that the vaccine you paid for and your pet endured....does not cover.....sound familiar? Happens with people too!

Dr. Wen and his team are undeniably awesome. I have used conventional medicine for a few of my pets and the results were short lasting. One round of his holistic medicine and my dogs skin issues subsided and my cat who has had loose stools for 3 years after trying every limited ingredient on the market finally has normal bowel moveMents. I never thought this was possible. Truly amazing!

Brought a 3 week old kitten to the vet for a full checkup. Within 36 hours of being their I had to take the kitten to the ICU. Hampton Vet refused to take responsibility and failed to compensate for their lack of professionalism. Atrocious hospitality and customer support. Owner will dodge you if u call to complain. Not worth the headache
