I highly disagree with Jenna! My numerous pets (3 dogs: 2 older dogs and 1 puppy, as well as my cat) have been patients of the Double AA vets for years and I dont have a single bad thing to say about the clinic. In a matter of fact I wanted to write a review for them today because Im super happy about the way they just took care of my oldest dog. Not only were they able to squeeze her in ahead of a normal waiting period because I could go into labor any minute, but the price I had to pay for the amount of work that my old girl had to get done is more than reasonable. Ive been to a number of local vets in the past and about 5 years ago I chose the Double AA clinic as my permanent vets because they always manage to take care of my animals in the best possible fashion and they have no problem working around my schedule. The clinic is not overpriced by any means and anybody whos shopped around for a vet in the Wethersfield/Newington/Rocky Hill area could attest to that. I know that lately it hasnt been easy to get an appointment with these guys, but thats because several other vets in town closed down and the Double AA clinic got their patients. However, (and thats from my personal experience) when it comes to emergencies, such as getting shots for a puppy or taking care of a problem with an older dog that cant wait, the clinic staff always manages to find time to take care of their patients.

I have been bringing my beloved dog there for the past 9 years. I have made numerous calls and a few visits during the past 6 months because my aging dog has some issues with her health that are concerning to me. Every single vet tech is very patient with me and well informed and has given me accurate information on the phone whenever i have a question. They also run my questions by the Vet and get back to me promptly with answers. The Vets are compassionate and always discuss different options on how to provide the best quality of life for my dog. The treat my very senior dog like she is part of their family. I highly recommend this hospital as they truly love animals and their fees are reasonable. Keep up the wonderful work you do Double A.

Ive lived lots of places and had many vets over the years - this is my hands down favorite. The staff is cheerful and polite and genuinely interested on all the critters coming and going. All three vets are fantastic, thorough and generous with their time. A few years ago, as a relatively new customer, I had to have my beloved dog put to sleep. I had had a terrible experience with this previously so I was really upset. Dr Artorino was so gentle and loving with our dog (and us!) during this process, allowing us lots of time to talk and grieve. Since then our two new adopted dogs have been well cared for. Double As fees are very reasonable as well.

Im not sure whats up with the nasty and harsh reviews lately. I suspect the they are from the same family or refering to the same case? I strongly disagree with these folks who forgot to take their grumpy pants off! The staff is extremely knowlageble, friendly, and always seem to be working very hard! Its nice to walk into a busness and be treated like family. My dogs have gotten the best care from Double A, including the many suguries that they have gone in for! Disgusting? Animal abuse? Thats a joke, now stop it.

Ive gone to Double A Vet and have known Dr Andrea Autorino for years. She is an excellant Veterinary Doctor and has an awesome staff. The office is busy and yearly appointments can easily be planned in advance. The place is spotless, the care is outstanding and all of my animals needs are always taken care of. As far as emergency care, I know if I call with an issue that it will be handled in a timely manner. The rates are extremely reasonable and always have been.

They need to educate themselves about heart worms, various heart worm treatments and the success rates. They need to learn about immiticide treatment and the fact that it kills the heart worms and lets the dog live a normal life. I understand heart worms are not as common in the north as they are in the south, but their ignorance and unwillingness to gain some knowledge just may have killed a dog today....

I made an appt to bring my cat in today. Seeing how hard it is to catch a cat and put him in his carrier I was 20 min late. They wouldnt take him and said I would have to rescedule. My cat was crying in pain and may of had a life threatning blockage and they wouldnt even look at him all because I was 20 min late!!! Anyhow I brought him to the emergency vet, PAID DOUBLE!!! and he is fine now.

Had to put my beloved Elliott to sleep, which was one of the most painful things Ive had to do. Staff was amazing and Dr. Andrea allowed me to stay with Elliott for as long as I needed. She was soft spoken and very gentle with him, which helped. My rescue Chihuahua has a heart murmur and they are right on top of it. The care they give her is amazing. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

Disgusting excuse for a vet. They care more about money than actually helping animals. If I could give it zero stars I would. Dr. Andrea Autorino leaves animals in pain instead of actually helping them or at the very least making them comfortable - even with the owners consent to do what they needed to help the animal. Total Animal Abuse!

Nothing but wonderful things to say about Double A. Ive been taking my dogs here since they opened and its been simply amazing. The staff are always in a good mood, helpful, and willing to explain something to you if youre interested or confused. The staff at Double A will genuinely care about your pets.

I dont know about these poor reviews but I have witnessed first hand the staff respond to a emergency before payment was even in place . She heals and rehabilitates dogs and then finds new homes for them when their owners abandon them when they are sick! The best vet ever!

We absolutely love Double A and their entire staff. I wouldnt go anywhere else. They greet us by name when we walk in and have taken such great care of our girl Kemba. They have made our first time pet ownership so much easier.
