It all started with a heavy metal trashcan falling on my left foot and crushing one of the joints in the big toe when I was a kid. Years later, I had to have surgery to fix the joint. There was some relief, but not completely. I had been putting more weight on my uninjured right foot, and more stress. This caused not only a funny walk, but pain and discomfort in my back, shoulders, knees, and neck. I had been in pain and discomfort for nearly two years, even AFTER months of post-surgery physiotherapy. Painkillers really mess with my stomach, so I was asking family and friends for tips and looking on the internet for alternatives. I had heard of chiropractors before but, like most people, I had some negative stereotypes about chiropractic work and was skeptical. Ironically, I found Dr. Donath by looking on Yelp! There were so many positive reviews that I decided I had to try it. Well now I’m leaving a review and saying that I am so glad that I took the leap. Whatever stereotypes you have heard about chiropractors is totally not true, at least when it comes to Dr. Donath and his team. I had a complicated set of complaints, and from the first appointment I was so well taken care of. I was treated both by Dr. Donath and his colleague Dr. Marshall who are both patient, friendly, and easy to work with. You can tell that they actually really do genuinely care. I never felt rushed, and in many ways the treatments felt like a combination of physiotherapy, stretching, and adjustment work. Both Dr. Marshall and Dr. Donath also have additional training that most chiropractors don’t have! They use a variety of treatment methods to get the best results. I am feeling so much better, and it only took about two months of treatment. It really is incredible. And what is great is that both Dr. Donath and Dr. Marshall took the time to educate me on how to prevent certain injuries again (how to have better posture, getting out of bed the correct way to prevent too much pressure on the spine etc!). I also found them to be very affordable, they worked with my insurance and the co-pays were lower than I expected. They even worked with me so I could get a new custom-made pair of orthotic inserts for my shoes which have helped to improve my posture even more! I also wanted to add that their office is super clean and nice too! I don’t typically leave a ton of reviews but I wanted to leave one for them because they did an amazing job! I think it’s important to know that you DO NOT have to deal with chronic pain forever! There are healthy alternatives that actually work! I can’t recommend Dr. Donath and Dr. Marshall highly enough! I hope this review will help you make a decision that is right for you! Good luck and feel better! I know what it feels like to suffer from chronic pain and discomfort! You are not alone!

I have experienced moderate to severe knee pain and discomfort for as long as I can remember. Ive been a lifelong athlete and despite my success and passion as a softball catcher, it only seemed to aggravate the pain I experienced. I was assessed at the age of 10 with having "floating kneecaps" and I went through countless hours of physical therapy. I also have tendonitis in both of my knees and I had to wear these uncomfortable knee braces that did not do much to improve my discomfort or make my life any easier. After I "retired" from the sport about 6 years ago I thought that the damage I had done to my knees was irreversible and that it was something I was going to have to deal with for the rest of my life. However, I could never get used to the sound of my knees cracking as I walked up and down the stairs and I decided that something needed to be done. After losing about 25 lbs the condition with my knees improved slightly, but after every workout my knees would swell up and I could barely walk at the end of the day. It was then that my mother suggested trying the option of going to a chiropractor to see if there was anything else that could be done to improve my quality of life. It was at this point in time that I met Dr. Donath. Within the very first consultation with him and after a series of stretches and adjustments, I felt like he had already honed in on the root of my knee pain. He treats many athletes for injuries and pain they sustain, so I felt like he already knew where I was coming from. He then made the suggestion out of the blue to look at my feet and see if the way I walk and distribute my weight when I walk had any contribution to my knee pain. After using his cool little machine he found that my feet were in worse shape than my knees! In all my years of treating my knee pain nobody offered this service to me. He suggested the option of specially made Orthotics for my feet in addition to some stretches and exercises to strengthen my back and knees to see if it helped conditions improve. Within a matter of months I cant even believe the difference I feel in my knees. The Orthotics have completely improved the way I walk and the way my knees feel after working out. Im no longer afraid to run on the treadmill and I can actually walk up and down the stairs without hearing that awful cracking noise I grew used to hearing. I have also strengthened my back and neck with the exercises he gave me and I have lost even more weight because of this improvement in my quality of life and this ease of discomfort. I strongly recommend ANYONE and EVERYONE with knee pain and discomfort to go see Dr. Donath! Within 2-3 months he completely erased my 24 years of knee pain and discomfort and for that I will be forever grateful!!

I was suffering from sciatica for several months, with pain down the leg and numbness in my foot. I had tried acupuncture, and had been to another chiropractor without any improvement. I came to Dr Donath quite skeptical of chiropractic treatment. However, I had read about decompression therapy online and it seemed to make a great deal of sense anatomically. It took Dr. Donath a long time to convince me to get an MRI, since I am highly claustrophobic. He had been doing spinal manipulation on my back, and I wasnt making much progress, so he wanted to begin spinal decompression. However, he would not begin decompression without knowing what he was treating, and insisted on an MRI. Thanks to his compassionate and gentle "bedside manner", I developed enough trust in him to schedule the test. The news was a shocker-- in addition to 2 herniated disks which were responsible for my back pain, the radiologist also discovered a large tumor on my kidney. I had to postpone any treatment of my back, and had my kidney removed in January. It turned out to be cancerous, but completely confined to the kidney, so no additional treatment was necessary. As soon as I was sufficiently healed from surgery, I went back to Dr. Donath to begin spinal decompression. The abdominal surgery, plus several weeks of inactivity had significantly weakened my abdominals, and my back was worse than than ever. After about 2 1/2 months of treatments, my back is significantly improved. I no longer have pain down the leg, and no longer have numbness in the foot. I still have a ways to go in terms of rebuilding strength but Dr. Donath has been helpful in that area as well. He has given me a series of strengthening exercises, teaching me to pay careful attention to form. So I have Dr. Donath to thank for relieving my back pain, and also for saving my life! I never would have gone for the MRI if not for his gentle insistence. If the tumor had continue to grow undetected -- it might well have become life-threatening. I also have to say a few words about the way Dr. Donath manages his office, and the superior caliber of his staff. The other chiropractor Dr. Kavita Rambarat, his technician April, and his office manager Midori are all incredibly professional, patient-centered, and kind. It is a pleasure to visit this office. Throughout the treatment, Dr. Donath and his staff repeatedly pop in to make sure you are comfortable at all times. It is truly an example of extraordinary customer service.
