Ive waited years to be able to review this murdering vet. I took my dog to him after two dogs on our street in Northport died of Blastomycosis and Prince was showing all of the symptoms. He supposedly tested him and said he did NOT have it. Well that was January of 2002 and he died at Auburn University Animal Hospital in my arms in July of 2002 of Blastomycosis. After much research, Ive learned that he charged for tests and never sent them in. Also, he let one ladies dog die on the operating table while he flirted with a drug rep, the dog aspirated under anesthesia. If you dont do anything else for your pet, do this one thing and stay as far away from this man as possible.

stay away from averette! my dog couldnt walk on her back legs, she was criss crossing tryin to walk! he told me a pinched nerve in her spine! i told him xray her! and he prescribed her carprofen and within 2 days she died and bled internally!! he didnt even recommend blood work b4 he gave her those pills! i went to his office to tell him what happened and i asked him why didnt he recommend blood work and he said bc i aasked how much xrays were! what a jerk and ver unprofessional thing to say! STAY AWAY FROM HIM! NEVER GO TO THIS VET!

I absolutely love Dr. Averette. He tells you exactly whats wrong and how to fix it. No run around. Also, I can call at any time for advice before deciding if I should take my pups in. I have recommended so many others to this vet and they love it too!

This place is a horror house for your pets. Other vets in town know this. Please dont take your pet here. Unnecessary animal suffering. This "doctor" should have been prosecuted for animal abuse years ago, I just didnt have the time at the time.
