We have always had animals growing up so when we became the unofficial drop off location for unwanted pets/ critters we had to find a vet who is both low cost but high quality. (I know, you probably think a unicorn is easier to find.) I had gotten decent at treating them myself for small issues until one day an emergency arose. It was after 1800 and all vets were closed...except VWCs ER. I was thrilled that they were upfront on the fees and did not gouge on prices as others have. I can trust that they are open 24/7 365 weather permitting. Even when a pet is lost in eternal slumber they care and even send a condolence card. (One time they sent a card after finding out my kitten died at home.) Every time they prescribed meds it was either sent home with us or was ordered and ready for pick up within just a few days or less. They have low cost spay/neuter as well where you can base the options on what you can spend. As with anything, the lower the cost the less meds and comfort your pet will have. I have lost count on the number of pets we have had/rescued through the years but one thing is certain through cancer, tick related diseases, surgeries, spaying/neutering, etc, I have not found any veterinary clinic who cares more.

If I Could Give A Negative Zero Star Trust Me I Most Definitely Would. My Dog Was Dropped Of There At 7 OClock In The Morning In Which My Dog Had Worms And I Was Suppose To Come Back To Get Him At 3 PM, They Called Back Approximately 1 Hour Later Telling Me That My Dog Has Breathing Problems To Come Get Him, That they Couldnt Do Anything About It. Okay, If You Have you Licence To Take Care Of Matters Like This Why Couldnt You Take Care of My Dog. He Was The Sweetest Thing. They Are Not Very Sanitary, They Had My Dog In A Room Full Of Poop On The Walls, Tables, Floor Everywhere! No One Was Supposed To Go Back There, But I Needed To Get My Dog Because Someone Wasnt Doing Something Right! Needless To Say My Dog Had No Worms I Took Care Of It At Home The Day Before And He Was Just Fine, They Told Me To Come Get Him A Hour After He Was There Because They Knew He was Gonna Die, So The Doctor Wanted His Money And I Paid $110.00 And 15 Min Later On The Way Home My Baby Died. THANKS TO THIS CLINIC. WORST CLINIC EVER!

Took my cat in with kidney issues. They wanted $825 since it was a holiday to help him. I couldnt pay that kind of price so had to wait until my vet opened in the morning. After my poor cat suffered all night I paid $235 at my regular vet. The Emergency Clinic is obviously taking advantage of people in their grief to rob them. Very sad that these doctors did not take their Oath seriously: Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering, the conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge. I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics. I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence.

I highly recommend this veterinary practice and will continue to take my pets here as long as I can. After taking my dog to a vet in Cookeville and spending $140 to treat an ear infection, the $70 total cost from Veterinary Wellness for getting him fixed (including anesthesia) was a huge relief. He was well taken care of and we were kept in the loop through his whole visit. I have since been back and have been more than pleased. Dr. Lembo and the other providers are more than willing to talk to you and help explain things. They even called the heart worm medicine manufacturers and special ordered my 109lb dogs medicine to save me the money of doubling up doses. It was shipped directly to my house too which helped save a trip. We have been taking our dogs to the Emergency Clinic for years and are so excited that Veterinary Wellness has opened up for every day care.

I could not ask for better care for my pets. This clinic literally saved my service dog. She developed an unusual bleeding disorder after a simple dental procedure preformed at another clinic. This was not the fault of the other Veterinarian...it just happened...and it happened after regular clinic hours. The Veterinary staff and Vet techs worked all night. They conferred with experts from around the state and did a statewide search for a very specialized medication...and they allowed me to stay by her side through the process. She is alive and well because they care! We have since made Veterinary Wellness of Columbia our Veterinary Clinic! They are professional, compassionate, and they go the extra mile. Simply the Best! ****As far as the below review *** I am pretty sure the doctor was probably trying to tell you in a respectful manner that your pooch wasnt going to make it. Therefor it was best you come and pick him up as soon as possible. It is not the veterinarian s fault that you didnt get your dog treated sooner. I am sorry for your loss. The Veterinary Wellness Clinic of Columbia has a very clean, friendly, organized , professional, staff. By far the best I have ever been to. Keep up the great work! Thank you, Karen K.

I never write reviews, or thank you letters for that matter. But in this case, I had to write to thank Ms. Sarah and her friendly coworkers at the Animal Wellness Clinic for getting me meds that saved my kitten from a horrible respiratory infection. The staff is nothing short of awesome. They also spayed my other cat and did a great job. I really wish that all businesses were run like this one.

So far my kitty is good. I just wish they included everything. Not have a menu of options. Like meds. Meds should be included. Nail clipping should be included. But I guess you get what you pay for. They are doing a good service by providing low cost spay/neutering for otherwise people who couldnt afford it and of course we know what the outcome of that would be. NO GOOD

I used coupons from Pet Pals to spay/neuter several of my dogs, and could not be happier. I paid a total of $10 for each neuter, and my babies were treated exceptionally well. I highly recommend Veterinary Wellness to anyone! They will treat your pets like they were their own.

We had to have a pet put down a couple years ago due to illness, and the the emergency vet here was very compassionate and caring during the process. That can make all the difference.
