If I could give negative 5 stars I would. Yesterday I brought my 1.5 year old German Shepherd to this clinic to socialize her slightly before her appointment that I just got back from today. The staff yesterday was understanding that a new vet, or any vet visit is not the most pleasant for a dog and said that her behavior was typical as I joked with other customers in the lobby who experience their own various troubles. We left and I thought surely this place would be acceptable to bring my puppy (still a puppy by my standards). Todays visit left much to be desired. When the receptionist brought the paperwork to me, my shepherd growled and lunged while I had a firm grip on both handles of her double handle leash. It was obvious the receptionist was very intimidated by her. I am not sure if that was the cause for the episode, but what I am sure of is that she took about 4 jumps across the room when it happened. Not the most professional reaction I must say, nor one I have ever experienced but she was just the receptionist so I figured okay, whatever. What really irritated me is when the technician started staring in my dogs eyes whom she had never met before as if challenging her in a strange place where my dog already wasnt the most comfortable in. Obviously this made my shepherd go nuts as she is a very protective breed and with all the variables in play made her feel she needed to be defensive. I proceeded to explain to the tech a more acceptable way of making friends with a strange animal of getting lower to their level, not making eye contact, and holding your hands in a non threatening manor. About 30 seconds later she makes the aggressive eye contact again and of course my pup goes nuts. At this point she says muzzle, I say whatever and am ready to walk out the door because I know these people are clearly not going to be able to handle my animal. When the vet pulls my girlfriend from the room and told her my animal is to aggressive for them to examine, I was outraged by the statement told them they were causing her anxiety and I couldnt consider allowing them to touch my puppy anyway and left. When I brought my pup in the hallway again the receptionist bolted out of the room without my puppy even making a sound. If you want an incredibly unprofessional staff to manage your animals well being this may be the place for you, if you want a positive and professional environment then by all means stay away.

The BEST vet in our area of Pace. We have been taking our cats there for over 30 years, even when his office was small, across the street. Never had any problems with the (often changing) staff either. Dr. Mongue is blunt but I like that he "says it like it is"..for instance, with our older kitty who was having problems with cancerous growths, he removed the growth, but it returned as he said..when I asked if he were me, "would you put her down"? Because of her advancing age, he suggested to let her go before other health problems appear and she would be in pain. She was one of those kitties that didnt show her pain, suffered in silence..I held her while she was put to sleep. She is now in our kitty graveyard along with 3 others. He is an excellent vet!

HE HAS BEEN OUR VET (MOMS) AND OURS SINCE 1995. ALWAYS TREATED OUR PETS WITH A LISTENING EAR AND KIND HEART EACH OF OUR MUCH LOVED FURRY BEST FRIENDS. WHEN I FOUND MYSELF IN DIRE CIRCUMSTANCES HE HELPED ME MAKE IT THROUGH. EVEN GOT A HUG ONCE AND SINCE I AM OLD ENOUGH TO BE HIS MOM THAT WAS A BEAUTIFUL THING. HE JUST CAN NOT RETIRE BEFORE I DIE. WHEN WE TRAVELED WE LEFT OUR VERY LOVED "HOOT" WITH THEM TO BOARD. THEY DID A GREAT JOB MAKING HIM SAFE AT CAMP THERE AND THAT DOG WAS A HOOT.. THANKS DR. MONGUE AND ALL YOUR SPECIAL HELPERS

Our Lab got sick in GA while we were on vacation. The local vet, which we love and trust, sent us to Auburn with a critically ill dog. She was in the hospital 2 nights having blood transfusions, bone marrow biopsies and other invasive procedures. They couldnt find the source of her anemia and why her labs were irregular. Upon our arrival home, we took her Dr. Mongue where he found that she had a mass on her liver...CANCER! Thankful that he had an ultrasound machine and that we took Misty to him.

Very disappointed with this place lately they have been charging a lot of extra fees and tacking on extra bills for no reason $35 to shave it inch wide space on my cats but it just seems like theyre more about the money anymore than they are about actually trading your animal apparently Im not the only one who thinks so Ive talked to several other people who share my opinion and are also extremely disappointed with this place

I have a pit bull mix and I explained to the vet that she is dog aggressive . And the vet wanted to tell me its in her DNA . No its not . Obviously the vet knew nothing about my little girl shes the sweetest dog ever and loves everyone just not other dogs. So foe her to tell me that she is a dangerous dog and to be careful around her is stupid. I will never go back .

Its very difficult to find a quality veterinarian in this area that I would trust my various pets to. Pace Veterinary Clinic is the only clinic I would take my pets to, they have phenomenal quality of care, exceptional manners when discussing different care methods for health issues, and a very clean and friendly environment. I could not imagine going any where else.

This is a pretty good clinic! Dr. Stephenson is great at what she does and truly cares about your pet. When my puppy got something in his eye, we were able to bring him in on the spot without even a phone call. The only downside is a pretty expensive examination fee. If it werent for that, this would have five stars. I recommend it!

I called because my cat was sick and they took him right away. I had not been to this veterinary clinic before. From the receptionists to the techs and the veternarian, I am very pleased with the care that my cat received. They were all very professional and nice to my cat as well as myself. I do recommend this clinic.

This is the worst place you can take your pets. They let my mother little chihuahua die of pneumonia. Instead keeping the little dog over night and giving him I.V fluids, they sent him home with pills. They are very unprofessional and very rude.. I would give this place one star, but they dont deserve that..

If you care anything at all about your pet, do not take them to this location. The most unprofessional, immature staff I have ever encountered at a vet. I had high expectations after researching them online and was greatly disappointed. Save your time and go somewhere else instead.

I am so glad that I kept my dog at this clinic. They were very caring and always timely. When it was time for me to lay my pup to rest, they were so great, they even mailed my family a card and made a paw print in clay. It really helped me and showed they care about your pet.
