After hearing such great things about this place by Alot of people I was confident about coming here and getting all my needs very well taken care of! I waited 2 hours AFTER my appointment which I was a 10 minutes early for to be seen the place was super small and there was so many woman there that people had no seats and had to stand up and being in this Alabama heat it was very stuffy and warm in there. When I finally got back there to see Dr.O I only got to see her 5 mins tops she rushed in and rushed out and didnt even address most of my concerns but one! I have never felt more unwelcomed at anyplace. This would be my first and last time going to this place and I will be going to a obgyn who will actually sit down and take there time with me and get to know me and make sure all of my problems are very well taken care of! I am very disappointed in this place and was let down after all the good talk Ive heard I am not impressed one bit! I left so very unhappy and was late to my other stuff I had planned to do!

Ive gone to literally every appointment with my wife, since we found out she was pregnant. Shes due in less than a month. The doctor here is amazing. But there are a few things negative about this place. In our experience, the doctor never explains what to expect for next appointments, even if you ask, shes so quick to respond you dont even understand her. She has too many clients, and she needs to stop adding more. Its making it harder on herself, and others. The staff, well, for the most part theyre okay, aside from one of the receptionists, who never gives you the time of day. Rude lady in my opinion. The last thing, if the doctor leave to go to the hospital, notify the patients. Seriously. We had been in the exam room for 45 minutes, without a single word from anyone. So I went and asked, and they said she left for the hospital, and should be back shortly. Yet, they dont know when shell be back. Tell the patients, so they understand why there waiting so long. Do your job.

If you are doing what I was and that was searching the internet for the best reviews and stars on the best OB/GYN around then dont look any further! Dr. Obiekwe was absolutely WONDERFUL! I was beyond NERVOUS about visiting the OB/GYN for the very first time. The thought of being uncomfortable and having anxiety about it was literally taking over me. I just explained to Dr. Obiekwe how nervous I was and she talked me right through it! She made me feel extremely comfortable and took care of my every need. She talked to me the entire time and before I knew it she stood up and said guess what I am done and gave me a high five! I highly recommend her for all of your doctor visits/questions! Especially if its your first time and you are nervous! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY! The staff was just as wonderful and sweet! LOVE Dr. Obiekwe!

Blah Blah

Expect to wait for well over an hour just to get to a room. Then expect to be rushed around by the non compassionate "nurses" and get into a room just to wait wait wait wait to see Obiekwe just for her to quickly rush in and out within a blink of an eye. I was there monday 6/12/17 and waited for an hour and a half in a stuffy packed waiting room where I witnessed patients leaving..patients rescheduling..and talks with other patients about how theyre going to find a new OBGYN. This is the new building by the way..so instead of the wait times being cut in half and your visit being in and out, EXPECT TO WAIT EVEN LONGER BECAUSE NOW THERES MORE ROOM TO HAVE MORE CUSTOMERS!! Money Money Money. Very UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNCOMFORTABLE with staff and doctor! NEVER AGAIN.

I had another OBGYN, and I was having problems with extremely heavy untimely menstrual cycles. I was given an D&C. The extreme bleeding continued, and there were no answers from my doctor. I took the advice of a cousin and made an appointment with Dr. Obiekwe. Dr. Obiekwe informed me that I had endometriosis, and because I was over forty years old, and no longer wanting children that I should have a procedure called "uterine ablation". I scheduled the outpatient procedure with her for the next week! She is no non sense and I think the world of her! I would recommend her to any of my friends.

My past experiences with OB/GYNs has been awful. They have never taken my medical history seriously, and one refused to call in my refill (when I still had two) for birth control if I didnt come see her in the next two days when I couldnt because of class. I was recommended to Dr. Obiekwe, and I am so happy I went. All of the staff were really nice and genuinely seemed to care about my health. So sad I will be graduating and leaving soon. Doctors like her are hard to come by.

I was very displeased with the staff at Dr. Chambers office so I switched to Dr. Obiekwe at Premier. She and her staff are very professional and kind. The office was very clean, which I really liked. She has her own ultrasound machine which also made me feel a lot better because Ive had two miscarriages so seeing the baby on my first visit to her office was a huge relief. I asked friends and she came highly recommended by several people.
