On 08/09/17 I took my dog in for routine shots. The vet did her inspection and my dog was taken to the back. I heard him yelp and soon after the technician returned with my boy. Her first words were “I guess you dont have cats at home huh?” (I NOW KNOW WHERE THAT CAME FROM) Was given a clean bill of health, nothing wrong with his eyes. As I was paying I noticed blood coming out of his right eye so of course I questioned it. The tech looked at it, disappeared, and returned with vet. Without explanation, my dog was taken to the back. Once returned, the technician explained that maybe he popped a blood vessel from excitement, but the vet would like to do a test for more money. She also pointed out a spot that I would want to watch because if it grows he could go blind. Nothing of which was of previous concern to have had been mentioned in his original diagnosis. I felt uneasy with the situation and diagnosis being that he had just been given a clean bill of health. The tech commented that the vet didnt and couldnt get a good look initially because my dog was so active. As a vet, how can you not know to control an animal and why would you “clear” any possible issues if you cant see them? At no point did the vet talk to me herself. A couple of hours later I took my dog to another vet where they confirmed that he had been scratched and would need antibiotics for ten days. THIS ALL HAPPENED UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF AMY COY AND HER STAFF. FAKE FAKE FAKE! FAKE IN DIAGNOSING A SUPPOSED PROBLEM, FAKE FOR PRETENDING TO CARE, AND FAKE OWNING UP TO ANY WRONGDOING. My dog did not go there with the scratch on his eye, BUT HE LEFT WITH ONE!!!!!

My favorite policy of Dr. Coy is to send an email "report card" follow up to all vet visits with a complete explanation of her findings on all aspects of our pets health and behaviors. She takes care to explain everything very thoroughly during the exams, but the report card puts it all down in black and white so that we can see what we might have not heard her say during the exam. She is more inexpensive than many area vets, and she is very good about suggesting natural alternatives where possible--rather than charging hundreds of dollars for expensive meds and a night or two of observation at the clinic. For example, she has suggested hydrogen peroxide when our dogs have swallowed something to see if the object comes up easily at home, and a teaspoon of Vaseline on some white bread when our dogs have something in their intestines that might come out at home by a simple "lube the tube." The first response of many other vets is to immediately say we need expensive meds to do the same thing. Weve seen her be instinctively caring and sensitive, as when she could tell someone was bringing in an elderly sick dog who needed to be put down, and she was very quiet with the otherwise happy, laughing clients in the clinic so that they could sense that they should be aware that not everyone in the waiting room was in as good a mood as they were. We have tried most of the vets in the far East Valley and prefer Dr. Coy to all of them.

One of the best vet clinics I have ever been too. We are moving this week and I wanted to make sure our dogs were all up to date on shots called around to a few places and when I called Agape they were the only ones that could get me in that day. From the moment we walked in we were greeted so kindly by the front desk. The vet assistant was very kind and when she got our german shephers back there she got her all excited and let her get to know her first loving her giving her treats. Then the vet came in and same thing was on the ground loving her and examining her. Love this vet you can tell she is very passionate and loves what she does for a living. I can honestly say without a doubt they really cared about our dog. I dont think she ever realized she was even at the vet ha ha! My only regret is that I didnt find this place sooner now that were moving out of state.:( I highly recommend this vet clinic to everyone!!

Thanks to Dr Coy our little Sophie, a chihuahua we adopted from the pound is all healthy now. Sophie was spayed by the pound but incurred a hernia, most likely to a complication from the spay. I was quoted 800 to 1000 to have it repaired and was sick with worry being on a fixed income and my husband being disabled I would never be able to afford the surgery. My friend who takes her dogs to Dr. Coy explained the situation and Dr. Coy said she could help. When my friend called me I was elated. Took Sophie in and Dr. Coy fixed my Sophies hernia for a substantial discount, I will forever be grateful for this. If you want a Vet who is caring and compassionate then look no further and call Agape today. Dr. Coy and all the staff will welcome you and your animal with open arms. Thanks again Dr. Coy for caring and helping my baby Sophie :)

Dr. Amy (as well as Daniel and the rest of her staff) were wonderful with my dog Trooper. He had injured his ACL and was in a lot of pain. Dr. Amy educated me about all my options and helped me make the best decission for my dog (and my pocket book). Im so happy to report that Trooper is much improved and on the way to what I hope to be a full recovery. Thank you Dr. Amy for your compassion, and for helping me be the best caretake of my puppy I can be! In another few months I hope to send you pics of Trooper and I out for our runs again. If youre looking for a reliable vet who will empower your decissions and educate you, not just tell you what to do; someone who understand the balancing act of compassionate care and the finances of life - please consider Agape Animal Clinic.

excellent, professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly service . I have 2 dogs and 4 cats and they have provided great care to all. I highly recommend Dr. Amy Coy and her staff are wonderful. We recently adopted BooBoo the cat who you have seen in Dr. Amys office from the Maine Coon Rescue, He is fitting right in with the rest of our furry family and I think it is so wonderful that Agape cares for these homeless pets until they get a forever home. All my experiences visiting Agape are positive. One pet has had 2 major surgeries and I KNOW my dog was in excellent hands. Thank you Dr Amy and wonderful staff, you are appreciated and loved !!
