Until yesterday I wouldve given them a 5 star rating. We put our dogs in their care a few years ago when we needed immediate emergency care for one of our pekingese, they took her in and had her in the operating room within a hour. We really loved the care our pets received and we loved how kind the doctors and staff were to our pets. Yesterday morning when our little Chloe started having seizures and her situation became critical we called them and hoped we would get the same kindness and compassion we had previously received and with them being less then 5 minutes away we could get her there fast. The receptionist told us our vet had a full schedule and they would not be able to see Chloe. She told us we would have to take her to the VCA emergency clinic in downtown Mesa, nearly 20 miles away. I understand that our vet (a half a mile away) is not an emergency clinic, but I dont understand why this receptionist did not speak to the vet and see about taking our dog in, telling us to take our pet almost 20 miles away in rush hour traffic was a potential death sentence. Fortunately we were able to find care for Chloe much closer then their downtown Mesa location and we will now take our business to this new clinic. We have spent thousands on care for our pets with them and wouldve thought that our loyalty would be returned! It saddens me that when our pet needed care the most, they slammed the door in our face! Im sure that our veterinarian never even know that we called and that their receptionist treated us this way!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I cant fully express how awful my visit here was. I will never be bringing my cat back here. The vet I saw was a total joke. I dont even know if I should give him the title of vet. He had no idea what he was doing, obviously. If my cat had died that night, it would have 100% been his fault for lack of proper vet care. I brought her in because she was sick and all he wanted to do was run x-rays, mris, and bloodwork, when obviously, she had a URI. He told me her lungs were clear (I dont even know if I believe him) and that her nose was just a little stuffy and she was dehydrated. They had an estimate of $1000 for tests that she did NOT need. I was infuriated and left with fluids to give her. They were rude and obnoxious. The vet had a snotty, know-it-all attitude, when I was reciting things to him he had no idea what they were. Basic vet care.... I would revoke his license in a HEARTBEAT if I was him. I now have to wait to save up money to take my cat to a REAL vet and hope she makes it. I just am so angry and upset, there arent even words to describe my visit fully.... All I can say now is ... IF YOU WANT YOUR PET TO LIVE, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!! THIS PLACE IS A RIDICULOUS MESS AND NOT A TRUE VETS OFFICE.

My wife who I was dating at the time saw my dog Shiva was in trouble. I did not see it as she was drinking water and eating. My wife saw her limping and said to call her vet, (Dr. DOrazio, sorry if misspelled), When I called the vet their suggestion was to take her to the animal emergency hospital. I took her their and the Dr. was totally correct. She had a terminal illness that the Dr. could not take care of. The Animal emergency room saved her life and gave me 8 more years with her. The Dr. took care of her the rest of her life, (no bad complications from the surgerey). The Dr. put my beloved Shiva to rest last year. She developed a brain tumor and when though massive sizeuries. This doctor has taken care of 5 of our dogs and had to put to sleep 2 of our dogs, (possibly looking at a third). She is caring, loving, and cares about the animals she takes care of. A real caring doctor if I ever saw one. Just wanted to say thanks to Dr. DOrazio. You have been a caring Vet and you have a very caring staff.

One of our dogs, 8 years old, suddenly got an arched back. We immediately called this clinic for a consultation. I had to work so my husband was in charge of taking the dog for the appointment. When my husband came back from the appointment, I was puzzled. Whoever saw our dog at this "clinic" determined that our dog was arching her back because she had a digestive problem. My instinct, as well as my intelligence, told me that diagnosis was wrong. Dangerous, useless drugs were prescribed, antibiotic included. I knew that both the diagnosis and the alleged treatment were wrong. Unfortunately, I was right. Two days after the appointment our dear dog could no longer use her hind legs. This clinic managed to make a profit of a situation they were unable to correctly diagnose. The alleged digestive problem did not exist. I have always stayed away from western medicine. Now I will stay away from western veterinary medicine too, this clinic in particular.

My dog was not diagnosed properly he was treated with pain medication for a cough. And I was told he had no infection. He died suddenly a couple of days after being on two different needs which made him disoriented and he could no longer hold down food. I had called the office to explain my concern and how he was showing obvious symptoms of these medications not agreeing with him or something else more serious going on. I was told it was normal because the pain medication upsets the stomach and causes disorientation. His symptoms went from having a cough when I brought him in to in two days becoming weak, unable to go outside to potty as well as disorientation and confusion. My dog was healthy and happy and strong until I decided to come to this place for treatment of a cough. He died suddenly less than a week after starting on these meds. He had lost nearly 15 lbs. I would never recommend this place to anyone .

This place is a joke, they say hospital but they close and dont do overnights. They schedule services, text you conformation and then come up with some extra money ploy at 5;00 night before.( they have done this twice too me) I have spent over $2,000.00 dollars with them, only to be treated like a idiot. My dog was given his rabbies vaccination 3 days before grooming appointment, I have the receipt and tag. but not by them so to keep the appointment they wanted to give him another rabbies vaccination. Of coarse for more money. The back medical staff seems qualified but the office staff must be on commission. Overall its about money. So if you want big bills, even if it makes your animal sick , so be it, use this office. Sad that I was warned and thought I would give them a chance, bring your Credit Cards because you will need them. The bills add up fast and before you know it. You have been ripped off.

What a wonderful place to take your pets! I have now gone there a few times. For both sick and to get shots and the doctors and staff have been awesome! They listened to everything I had questions about. Answered my questions and really cared about my concerns. My kiddos can be a little nervous when going to the vet and the doctors took their time and even got down on the floor with them to help them be comfy and relax! It was such a nice change from the vets that are just in and out in 5 minutes! The staff was great as well! From the beginning to the end of each appointment, I knew they cared about me and my pet! They even called to check on how we were doing a few days later and to make sure I didnt have any more questions! Great hospital! I will only take my animals here and have told all of my friends and family to do the same!
