WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EVER. Theyre dishonest, money hungry, and couldnt care less about the pets well being. They wont feed the dogs if theyre there long, no inform you so you can bring your own food. My mother dropped off my elderly dog here at open their opening on September 6th. They had our dog for 10 hours. When I came to pick her up she didnt look like herself at all. She had no energy, wasnt excited to see me, looked exhausted, and wanted to get out of there ASAP. As I was dealing with the billing my boyfriend took her outside to go to the bathroom. She had blood, black, diarrhea. When I asked the Vet about the diarrhea and asked if they had given her anything throughout the day he said "No, we didnt give her anything." They had already prescribed her two medications and after seeing the stool sample they added two more and told me on top of the $90 I had already spent I needed to pay another $20. When we took my pup home she ran straight to the water dish, she drank and drank and drank. She was so dehydrated she acted as if she hadnt drank all day. I let her out to go potty and she was began vomiting. She then fell over. When I called the Vets office the next day I was told that Keasha(my pup) had been given a de-worming pill during her visit, even though her stool sample came up negative for worms and the Vet told me he had not given her anything. I then inquired about her visit. I asked if during her 10 hours there they had offered her any food or water. They informed me they do not offer the animals food. She said "It is our policy to ensure the animals have water in their kennel, but since I wasnt here yesterday I cant say that is what happened." I asked the lady if they inform their patients who drop their animals off in the morning, not expecting to pick them up for hours, that they dont offer their pets food - she told me they do not inform their owners of that. I then inquired about a $20 fee that Banfield chargers owners who do drop their pets off for all day care - I asked her what that fee was paying for. "The fee ensures that the animals get taken out to potty, have their bedding changed if they have an accident, and have water offered throughout the day." OH, but dont worry, if you have a monthly membership they waive the $20 fee - the fee that pays them to DO THEIR JOB!! I was so furious with how the treated my dog. I had never seen her fall over from being so weak. The fact that its their "policy" to give the dogs water and take them out to potty, but shes not sure if it actually happened since she wasnt there, the fact that they didnt offer my dog who was there for 10 HOURS any food (of inform my mother that they didnt) is so infuriating. I told the lady on the phone that my pet is like my baby or my little sister, I consider her family. To think of dropping off your baby at a daycare and picking her up 10 hours later and being told she wasnt fed or given anything to drink for 10 hours is terrifying. BANFIELD IS A JOKE. They should not be allowed to call themselves a hospital. This corporation needs to seriously reevaluate how the tell their employees to run things. Side note: In the 10 hours they had her and multiple tests and exams they did, they somehow missed the fact that my dog had bile duct cancer, which she died from last week. If they caught this we would have had more time to grieve and to consider our options. Keasha went 10 miserable days in agony because we thought she just needed more time for all the prescriptions they had prescribed to kick in.

Signing up for their wellness plan has been nothing but frustrating. They are incompetent at managing the front office and I dont even want to know what goes on "in the back". They cannot handle basics like what kind of prescription an owner is picking up and what services they have been scheduled to provide that day. I do not trust them with my dogs health and we will not be returning. The vets are nice and knowledgeable but the assistants/office workers are so incompetent its not worth the wellness plan or the nice vets. It was a disaster almost every time we had an appointment. We got a puppy and signed up for the wellness program at the Orem location. The first appointment our dog tested positive for a parasite in his poop. They called and told us to come pick up a prescription for it. I went to the office to pick it up and was told that they did not know the dosage amount to give me and the vet wasnt picking up his phone. They asked me to come back later. So I ended up calling them asking for an update and they told me my dog needed a shot, not pills. I asked if I could bring my dog in that day to get it taken care of and they said yes. So I go get my dog and drive him to the office and when I show up they said "oh he doesnt need a shot, he needs some pills, here you go." Then, for his final vaccine appointment, we show up and are told that they had no office visits planned for that day because all of the vets were in surgery. They had called us the day before to verify we were coming and verified the time! We would have to drop our dog off and if a vet had a free moment they would give him the rest of his shots. The wellness plan came with our dogs neuter. He is a boston terrier so the vet recommended we also have his nasal cavities expanded so he doesnt have breathing problems in the future. We schedule the nose job and the neuter at the same time, making sure it would be with the vet that recommended the surgery. We show up for the surgery and while we are filling out the intake paperwork, my husband asks how to say "nose job" in medical terms and the receptionist was like, "oh we did not know he was having that done today." If my husband would not have said anything, they would not have known we wanted it done!!! The vet that was there could not perform the nose job so we had to reschedule. Then, the next business day, we get a call from Banfield asking how our dog was doing and if he was recovering from his surgery okay. The fact that they did not know he did not have his surgery was extremely concerning as that would be an important thing to note in his file. ie "This dog did not have his surgery because the vet he was scheduled with did not come to work and no one thought to tell the owner, or even knew what surgery he was coming in for."

Took my dog to the Orem office. This is my first pet since I was a kid, and my first vet experience was shocking. I only went here because I had the free vet visit from AKC. I cant see myself going back, at least to the Orem office. In all my life, I have never had a medical dr talk money, and so when the vet was trying to convince me to sign up for a wellness plan, I was shocked. It was almost like a car salesman experience. The dr should not be doing the sales pitch IMHO. To me, that is something the front desk should be doing. Having that done by the dr changed my trust levels immediately. The vet and vet tech spent a good 5-8 minutes trying to convince me to sign with one of their plans. I have a niece who is a breeder, and she has been helping me tremendously. I had done my own shots from a local store. They ranted for another 2-3 minutes how doing your own shots, means they and no one else will ever recognize your vaccinations. The vet looked like he was in his mid 20s. In general, they were very nice people, but I just didnt feel like I could trust the vet. The vet tech had more table professionalism then the vet, and she was still in school. They differed on suggestions for a vaccination, and that created a small amount of tension. I actually believed and trusted the vet tech much more then the vet. In contrast, I had posted in FB a few weeks ago to a local neighborhood private site we have asking for a recommendation, and all my neighbors praised Dr Lambs in Alpine. If you look at the reviews here, and then look at the reviews for his office, then it says it all. I didnt look at any reviews, until after coming home with such an odd experience. More on the vaccinations. They claim that the store brand where i buy the vaccinations, has poor shelf practices. That they leave the vaccinations un-refrigerated on the receiving docks for days. They said vaccinations can only be out of a refrigerator for 1 hour, before they go bad. I knew they needed to be refrigerated, but I cant imagine a agriculture focused and pet friendly retail place leaving the vaccinations out for that long. I will investigate that more, and question them directly. I am sure the store will deny any allegations, but I will be checking it out. If I sniff any hesitation, then I will have to redo my vaccinations. I dont know what all is done in an actual exam, but they did check her ears, listen to her heart, look in the mouth, and take her temperature.
