I know this review might be a little long but everything is just as I experienced and it happened today. BTW my sons Dr. is not this way at all and she is in the same facility. So this review is specifically about Dr. Chuba Ononye First off my check-in time was at 9:45am. My appointment was at 10am. They didnt call me back into the room until 10:45am. Then Dr. Chuba gets in the room at 11:10 (nearly 1.5 HOURS after I arrived) and he is out of the room by 11:17. I am a new patient and had to wait almost 2 months for this appointment. I was told by front office staff that it is because they need a little longer with new patients to have extra time with the patient (so existing patients must get 5 minutes). Anyways I told him right when he walked in that I have been experiencing a horrible skin problem for 5-7 years and I wanted to go over that with him. I am going to skip over the details. So guess what happened next? Nothing, he didnt even bother to see what can be done to help with it. The first thing he said was that he was going to order blood test to check all my blood levels and he made sure my lungs sounded good and then left the room to put in a request for my blood tests. The next person that shows up is an M.A. I told her that I wanted the Dr. to look at my foot problem... She went and spoke with him and without even looking he put in a prescription for a fungus cream. Then they ushered me out of the doctors office. Needless to say I surely hope that whoever goes there next time has the same experience we have with our son (awesome). I wish that no one has to go through the horrible experience I had to go through today. I work HARD for my money and these Drs. (while they spent a lot of time going to school and getting educated) just take what I work so hard for and get paid a LOT of $$$ for NOTHING! (again not all Drs.) but in this case it was Dr. Chuba Ononye

Dr Ben Muscha. Is my doctor Ive been going to his office for about seven months now. From day one he is requested certain referrals for me to go see specialist. But his referral staff doesnt follow through with his request I have called multiple times and his staff write them messages saying its urgent to contact me about these matters. But I never get a call back I am always having to call them and I still dont get calls. I was in an extreme automobile accident in 2003 a out of state driver hit me, I need special medical care I am considered extreme brain and body trauma patient. My main problem is is I feel his staff doesnt care about my medical needs and that my medical care isnt important. My health is very important to me. His referral staff never does what he request them to do they never return phone calls, I have to call my insurance to find out the specialist that I can go to and then I have to call the doctors office and let them know, I feel that should be their job not mine. I like my doctor but his staff doesnt care about my health which is very important to me and it sucks that I have to look for a new doctor because of his staff.I very much like my doctor he is attentive to my needs except his staff doesnt seem to care. Whats horrible is Ben Muscha staff gives him a bad name when actually hes a good doctor his staff just doesnt seem to care or do their job. Why are these people still working there and why do they have jobs as medical staff when they cant even do what the doctor asks of them these staff make good doctors look bad and thats a shame.

No complaints as far as the service goes. I was treated with respect by the girls at the front desk as well as the nurse and the doctor. I felt that all my questions and concerns were addressed and that the doctor explained everything to me and made sure I understood which I appreciated. My only complaint has to do with their phone system. When I tried calling to make an appointment today, I spent about 5-7 minutes on hold when suddenly the hold music stopped and then the line went desd. Its important that I make this appointment so I tried calling again but I got the same result on my second call as well as my 3rd 4th and 5th calls. Finally on my 5th call I gave up and selected the option to just leave a message which I had hoped to avoid. The phone issue is a major pain in the behind and needs to be resolved as soon as possible. Other than the phones, I was very satisfied with the whole operation of this medical office, from the front desk to the nurses to the doctors. Very professional and the wait time was very low compared to my experiences with other doctors offices

Unfortunately, my childs doctor, Dr. Amstutz, has joined this facility. He is a wonderful doctor, but the office staff is extremely incompetent. I have been trying to get my daughters ADD meds since December 9th! Subsequently, my daughter who is a 4.2 GPA student on meds just bombed her finals due to no medicine! She has been crying every day since she hasnt had them. I call her medical insurance company and they tell me no one from the doctors office has contacted them for prior authorization! The office has told me they contacted them on a few occasions. I have wasted no less than 8 hours going round and round with these jokers and still no meds on December 29th! I will be pulling my children from this facility and strongly hope Dr. Amstutz rethinks his partnering with this dreadful facility! We will miss you Dr. Amstutz!

My husband needs to be seen to get an MRI referral for his back and our long-standing PCP doesnt take our current insurance. As a former employee, I wanted to get him in to Banner, but to my dismay the wait for new patient is 4-6 WEEKS. When I worked for Banner and they were announcing the Health Center plans, their biggest draw was that patients wouldnt have outrageous wait times to be seen by someone, even new patients. Well 4-6 weeks is pretty outrageous. We have just purchased a home literally right down the street from this Heath Center on Crismon and I was considering totally switching PCPs for my entire family to this office, but this experience of just trying to get a timely appointment for my husband has completely turned me off to having myself or any of my family be patients here.

Dr. Laurel Retay is a quack!!!! My elderly mother was in a car accident and spent four days in the ER where she was diagnosed with three cracked ribs. She was scheduled for travel less than three weeks later. The ER told her to see her primary care physician for a travel waiver. Dr. Retay refused to provide her with the waiver because, in her words, "your mother is okay to travel." A second opinion from a doctor who is actually competent revealed my mother had four cracked ribs and a broken clavicle! He said it would be several months before my mother could travel. It took over a year for her to fully recover. Thank God for a second opinion. On Dr. Retays advice my mother wouldve been in unbearable pain. Physician, get your head out of your ass and heal thyself!
