I take my children to Dr Quiorz and for the most part I like the care I receive for my children (1 year and 3 months old).. However on my last visit my kids appointments were scheduled for 930am on a Friday a post op for an ear infection for one and 2month shots for the other. I arrived on time, an hour later I was passed to room 5, waited another half hour and was not seen by the Dr until 11am. I understand the inner workings of an office because I work at one, I understand that emergencies appointment come up (there was a young teenage boy hurled over with some type of stomach flu in the lobby and he arrived after us and was passed back before us, that I understand and I agree with)...but as the parent of patients whom have private dental insurance (which means yes we work and pay for our insurance each paycheck, we have co pays to come and pay those every visit as deemed by our insurance, and the office receives a higher fee schedule to see my children and I accept that it costs money to provide and receive medical care for my kids) I couldnt help but see, read, and re-read that green sign in room number 5 that states that if I [ Private insurance patients ONLY]disrespect the offices time by not coming to my appointments I would be charged $50.00 each patient. I couldnt help but be annoyed in reading that while my time was not being respected. While he is a great Dr and my baby girl loves him I cannot like that. I chose not to complain at checkout because after all the staff is just doing their jobs but I did however, sincerely and yes a little annoyed because at that point my babies were crying and very close to nap time, ask for my next visit to be scheduled on the least busiest day and time and the girl about choked on her laugh as she held it in with Gladys the other provider standing right there writing her notes. I will continue to go but I do hope that it was just a super busy day and that I have better experiences in the future.
