Been in Arkansas 2 months First time going to Kool Smiles I have a 6 year old daughter She has been going to our previous dentist since she was 3. She loved the dentist but she never was too comfortable sometimes shed cry even over getting her teeth cleaned. Ive worked in the dental field for 9 years now. I can tell a good dental office from a bad one but I never let the office that I have expereince in the field. Im rating this office 5 stars. Heres the pros and cons Pros: ~Saturday appointments which I needed. ~I waited about 10 minutes for my daughter to be called after I turned in my paperwork. ~My daughter did nothing but smile ~The back office staff were friendly and patient ~The hygienist Ramona M. was amazing, she was funny, kind, interactive , she explained every step of the cleaning in a fun kid kinda manner. ~It appeared to be clean ....I also watched one of the assistants cleaning one of the chairs and counters . I wanted to make sure things were being cleaned properly, they were changing gloves and not cross contaminating anything , using hand santitizer. - Things like that... Im not crazy I assure you I just know what to look for. ~The dentist Scott Farrell is bi-lingual eng/span - He was so nice, funny, gentle. He answered my questions and also showed me on the xrays as well. Cons ~They have a call center and they dont seem too informed about which dentist your child will see. So I told them to give me all the dentist names. Which they did and I looked up their license with the state and search BBB as well. ~The front office staff was not too friendly. ~ No one seemed to know the cost of treatment. I asked the two staff members that I assumed would know the price ,how much a adult cleaning, exam, and xrays were and they said they didnt know. One of the girls had to ask another lady which I didnt see nor meet how much it cost. ~The prices are a little high if you dont have insurance but there is no price on comfort. Its very important to give credit and critism when its due. I hope this helps.

We enrolled our granddaughter in the KoolSmiles Orthodontist office in Little Rock. Our first contact was with Dental Assistant Brittany V. She was so kind and helpful, and our granddaughter fell in love with her. She is such a talented technician but more importantly, she has a special talent for making a patient and their family very comfortable with KoolSmiles and its personnel. Also, we were then introduced to an absolute angel who happens to be an orthodontist too. We were very impressed with Dr. Paula Martin-Fletcher, or as she insisted, Dr. Paula. She and Brittany did a wonderful job in explaining everything involved in the procedures and care our granddaughter would be receiving. Dr. Paula is a very experienced and knowledgeable orthodontist and she is an even better counselor for the patient and family. Her detailed plan of action for care and her leadership in regards to her whole team was a true vision of perfection. These two "gals" and the rest of the KoolSmiles team are wonderful to work with. I must also send out kudos to Jason, the team leader. He did an excellent job in coordinating the office team and making us comfortable in having a pleasant experience from the first greeting, through all the paperwork, and through the day the braces were placed. Thank You to the whole KoolSmiles team and we look forward to every visit while we are under your care. THANKS

I am doing this from someone else phone right now... But anyway They are friendly and nice and wish I could give a 2.5 and the woman that worked with me to prepare me was awesome as well as the doctor.. But they need a better numbing agent for children! I felt terrible for the screaming child that was getting a tooth pulled or something. Just when I thought I could bring my children.. That changed my mind. I will stick with their current dentist which provide another less painful medication for that procedure. When she came in for me I understood his pain! I have had a tooth pulled before and it was not that painful. She is extremely rough with sticking the needle in the tooth and jaw area and rough pulling the tooth. It hurt a little with their numbing agent.. Thats how rough she was. I had a male dentist the first time I had my tooth pulled and he did the job while making it as less painful as possible. I know I have another well needed extraction.. But I am afraid! I will not take from her that she did an good job and I hardly needed the pain meds. But my god I ask scared and afraid. This place will scare a child and make them not want to go to a dentist EVER by choice. Do something about this please! Still will not take away from them being friendly, quick with emergency appointments, wait time good, and professional staff.

I called and scheduled my appointment. I asked if Medicare was accepted for adults and the lady told me yes. I asked her if she could run it to make sure I was covered. She told me they already had my number on file and that they would run it as soon as we hung up and if it was a problem she would let me know. I explained to her gas was an issue for me and I didnt want to waste my time coming if my insurance was not going to cover my visit. I never received the call or text she promised me I would and so i called back an hour before my appointment to make sure I was still good to come in for my appointment. Again I was told yes. So I traveled all the way to the location only to be told they did not have my information on file and was never a led to run it and was asked if I could go get the information for them. Needless to say I left and will not be returning. If I cant trust you to do your job as far as paperwork is concerned I definitely wont be trusting you to perform surgery on my mouth.

My experience with Kool Smiles on University in Little Rock was less than desirable! My child and I sat in the waiting room for an hour. When I finally asked what was the problem, I was told they were "verifying insurance". I provided all of that information at the time I made the appointment. After they finally called us to the back, apparently they forgot we were there. A young lady did have the common decency to tell the dentist that we had been there forever and could someone please see my child. Finally the dentist came in, told me he could put the cap on my childs tooth that day. Well after he left, the assistant came back and said "He wants me to schedule you another appointment because we are behind today". At this point I have been there 2 1/2 hours! I said no thanks, we will not be back. I wish I could cancel payment from my insurance company because they dont deserve a dime!

My husband walked in to meet us and got no hello or "Can I help you?" from the front desk. When I found out he had been sitting out there for 10 minutes waiting to be let in the back, I went to get him. One person said hi in the back but while my daughter was getting started on a filling the doctor came in and also didnt acknowledge his presence or explain the procedure she was about to perform since she hadnt talked to him yet. I had to get her attention and introduce them to make her acknowledge him. We stopped the procedure immediately and left. This happens A LOT to him and were past the point of just putting it aside. Even after taking my daughter out of the chair, no one tried to ask if something was wrong, could they help us resolve the problem. We were even talking about it in the room before we left and they just laughed.
