I would not let Dr. Shrum deliver a stray cats baby! I had a horrible experience here and was treated VERY poorly because of someone elses mistake. In addition, the nurses could not even do a simple blood draw and walked next door to a neighboring clinic to ask one of those nurses to come do it! I ended up going through Drew Memorial Hospital to get the draw (where a home health nurse got it easily the first time) and after that chose an OB doctor in Little Rock to ensure that Dr. Shrum would not touch my child. It was also proven that he was using black market contraceptive devices (IUDs) from Mexico that were not approved by the FDA! Please dont let your baby be welcomed into this world by this arrogant, self-righteous, greedy man. Do yourself and your baby a favor and go somewhere else!

Dr. Shrum has been a favorite of mine since he delivered my daughter 14 years ago. When he moved to Monticello, I decided to see a local doctor who put me through the ringer. I decided to meet with Dr. Shrum to see if would find out what was causing my pain Id dealt with for the last 4 years. Found out that my pain was caused by an inflamed uterus. Had to have surgery as soon as I could. It went well. He also threw in some information that no other doctor would convey.

I think hes great! He helped me and continued to help me .... Why are people harping on him? He did surgery on me and it was great I hardly had any pain.and he is one Doctor I can say really x cares about his patients.
