Dr. Sehl is nice person however, I had a negative experience visiting him for my ankle injury. First off, during regular check-ups he would ask me how my ankle responded to certain treatments that I had never received. For example, one day he asked me if the cortizone injection he "gave" me had helped me at all. I told him I had never received any injection and he replied with, "Oh, well you should probably get one...". This was after three months of pain and discomfort. I was very upset to learn that my doctor had completely forgot to mention he should have administered a shot months ago (a shot that had a high likelihood of relieving my pain). Whats worse is he completely failed to mention that after receiving the injection, I would not be able to put any weight on my leg for the next 24 hours. That would have been nice to know, especially considering I had a PT appointment the next day which was an utter waste of time because I could not do any of the exercises (I could hardly walk from the soreness of the injection). In addition, none of the treatments Dr. Sehl suggested for me worked. To be fair, this may not be his fault (perhaps my ankle is a special case) but nonetheless, over the course of 9 months I had experienced little to no improvement. With having spent so much time and money and experiencing no success, I was most upset about the fact that he ALWAYS rushed out of appointments making it difficult for me to seek clarification for what I need to do to get better. I often had to actually stop him on his way out of the door to ask him questions and he would pause, give me an abrupt answer, and continue on his way. I would receive vague instructions like "rest your ankle" and would wonder what that actually meant. Should I minimize all physical activity? For how long? Should I bike instead of walk to class? I had many questions of this nature and getting Dr. Sehl to answer them was a challenge when it should not have been. Every doctor I have ever visited has always asked me if I have any questions at end of an appointment. Not Dr. Sehl. Because this happened almost every time I visited him AND the fact that so many treatments I tried failed (I tried physical therapy, shockwave therapy, custom orthotics, bracing, icing, etc) I feel he doesnt care about my ankle getting better but rather he just wants me out. I am currently searching for another podiatrist and suggest others do the same.

Dr Sell has helped me quite a bit with my plantar fascitis, and Im hopeful that I will finally be back to full functionality soon. His staff are all very nice and so far my treatment hasnt cost me an arm and a leg.

I continue to see Dr. Sehl even though I moved out of the area over 11 years ago. Wonderfully kind and knowledgeable.
