I recently purchased two horses from a neighbor of Dr. Pollards in the area of Orange Park Acres...where the horses live still and Dr Pollard I was told, had been the vet for the horses for several years While seated getting ready for a ride, the horse just collapsed and for over 20 minutes was unable to get up. We called the emergency number for this office. I explained the situation to the emergency contact, told them the horse was a client of Dr. Pollard and that I had used them for many years, but Dr. Wan was our vet for our old horses we no longer had...(Dr Wan and Dr Pollard used to be in business together) but we wanted to keep continuity of care for the animal and Dr. Pollard had all the records on this horse from our mutual neighbor....that I was the new owner and lived right across the street, gave her the old owners name so they could access the records etc. The emergency personal said they would get a hold of Dr. Valena Wasmund who was on call. Having not had a horse requiring care for quite sometime, I neither used Dr Wan or Dr. Pollard for years. About 20 minutes later Dr. Wasmund called, I explained the situation that the back leg seemed unable to be set down...that I did get the horse up, but I was still concerned. I was the new owner, and wanted to keep their office on for the care of horse, naturally. She explained that she was on another call for colic and would try and get to us when things calmed down. I asked her where she was and she said she was right in our area, and I asked her to please keep me posted. Then honest, this is what she said. "You havent been a client since 2008, we are going to need payment when I come". NOT, HOW IS THE HORSE, NOT ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT MAYBE WE COULD DO IN THE IN THE MEANWHILE, JUST I WILL NEED MY MONEY!!!!!. I explained to her that payment was not a problem and to please come by when she was done. About 2 hours later, Wasmund called, and asked if we had gotten a hold of anyone, I said I am waiting for you since your team has been the care for the horses, and you said you were going to call once you were done. She started talking over me, actually raising her voice and said, I should be calling Dr. Wan since that is the vet I had chosen to be my vet years ago.... I told her I was waiting for her to finish her previous appointment and I again, said, that Dr. Wan was not the vet the horse was using. She said the following exactly: "We have ACTIVE clients that we need to take care of." with emphasis , sarcastic emphasis, on the word "active". I swear, that is exactly what she said. So here it is... This evil, despicable, non-caring (I cant even use the word doctor here), lied that she was going to try and come over...never once asked about the horsess condition and was rude, loud, aggressive, offensive and actually dangerous!! I said, can you stop yelling for a second, because I have to let you know how insulting I find you, asking for money, before anything else, knowing that I am a neighbor and I had a horse I felt needed emergency care. Keep in mind this is late Sunday and now it is nightfall and I am going to just find a vet where? She did not offer any excuses, she just kept raising her voice about how busy she was with her other clients. I would never ever ever ever use this vet for anything.... It is obvious that she holds contempt for anyone that uses their old business partners and that she would jeopardize the health of an innocent animal, because she has issues is just beyond imagination. I will share this experience with anyone who has questions as I found her behavior in the animal health care industry to violate the very basics of the profession.

As a 27+year Professional Recreational Trail Trainer and Equine Care Provider specializing in short and long term Vet-advised treatment and recovery programs with a long standing working relationship with EVA i.e Dr Kirk Pollard and Dr David Tressor. I can say without a shadow of doubt that this group of Equine Vets are the best in Orange County and Beyond! Professional, Knowledgeable, Diligent, with the Highest Degree of Respect to their clients new and/or old. They are all well versed in the newest protocols in the Equine Medical field and in industry trends yet still strong in their personal experience with "tired and true" methods of treating the body and mind of our horses... IMHO EVA does their best to satisfy the routine appointments and daily needs of all their clientele in the most professional manner possible... Prioritizing the unforeseen and accidental injury and/or illnesses we have all faced will always be something any equine vet has to deal with on a daily sometimes hourly basis and I will say that if one of my scheduled appt gets bumped back or asked to reschedule its because these amazing caring vets are scrambling to save a life and Im glad theyre on my team! So Do Not hesitate to call for an appointment if you are new to the area or just looking unto a new team of doctors to back you and your horses health and happiness! Happy Trails!

Dr. Treser and EVA have been our primary veterinary service for several years and help us oversee the healthcare and well being of 150+ horses at Red Bucket Equine Rescue. Dr. Treser is compassionate, competent and of the highest moral character. He has responded immediately for emergencies, counseled us on hundreds of difficult cases and always provided not only the highest service but offered the most realistic solutions, always putting the best interest of the horse first and balancing this with our budget. Even when circumstances arose where we werent sure that we needed emergency services, we had timely, thoughtful and helpful call-backs, again with the concern for the horse being of utmost priority. Dr. Treser is also my personal veterinarian and his many by years of experience as a field equine veterinarian has helped him cultivate a style that is reassuring, free from unnecessary drama, and solution-oriented. I trust him implicitly and have the highest appreciation for his professionalism and integrity. I refer him heavily and would be remiss if I didnt acknowledge that in the very high cost of equine care that EVA delivers tremendous value at a thoughtful and reasonable price.

I found an injured dove in the parking lot of their office. I brought the bird into the office and it was obviously in distress and hurt. Debbie ignored me for about 2 minutes while I stood in front of her. She told the person on the other line to hold. I asked if there was a vet in the office. She said " NO! They work in the field! I explained the situation. she just stared at me. I asked her what to do with the bird she stared more. I asked if she could call animal control and she said "Yes but you are going to have to wait til I am off of the phone!" She continued to talk about their contract with the mounted police and a 40 page fax and ignoring me.She was saying that if there is going to be police in a funeral or a parade that they need a vet on staff." I waved to her that I was going to take the bird and she completely ignored my waves and just glared at me. I just cant believe that there is such a rude person working in animal services. I sent my friend to ask her again and she continued to talk about their contract with the mounted police and a 40 page fax.blagh blagh blagh. RUDE STAFF!!!! I would find a warmer vet if I were you. Just calloused cold and pretentious.
