I thought my kitty had an infected claw and was favoring her foot, so I brought her over to Tender Loving Care, which is close to me. Although I had an appointment, I waited over 45 minutes to be seen. The next thing I knew I was hearing the words "This is the most sick cat Ive ever seen.... but the claw is fine." What? She looked fine, was acting fine, eating fine... Okay, I am not a veterinarian, by any stretch, so I trust the professionals. Then they hand me an estimate for services totaling over $650. WHAT? They walk me through which procedures they most highly recommended and those which were optional. So how much do you love your kitty? I agree to move ahead with the treatment type procedures, skip some tests and dental work including extractions, and got my bill to about $400 that day. Next time she got sick, I tried out another local vet- no wait with appointment. The appointment fee was half the price. The antibiotics prescribed were half the price. They recommended a blood work test, and I couldnt recall if Id had it done at Tender Loving Care when Id been there, so I called to check, and by-the-way, how much did that cost? Tender Loving Care quoted the exact same test at about 3x the price of the other vet! (Oh, and the other vet told me no dental work was recommended for my kitty) While I am sure the doctors at Tender Loving Care are competent, thorough, caring, and err on the side of caution, it felt a bit like a hustle price wise.

WISH HE WERE MY VET...I met Dr. Casillas (Juan) while he was on vacation in New Orleans, La. We have 5 dogs and had a local vet treating our largest dog for ACL(knee) problems. Not to get to much in the issues about our Vet but problems have lingered for almost a year with threats of legal action pending on our Vet...OUT OF THE KINDNESS OF HIS HEART, while on vacation mind you he offered to take a look at Harlie. Using his hands alone he isolated and diagnosed the real problems of a hip issue and a fusing of certian back bones..armed with this knowledge we sought a second opinion locally only to find after Xrays that the hip bone and the back bone were indeed the problems as he stated. I can only state that his diagnosis was spot on without any equipment, just an acute innate knowledge that is rare and God given..If I lived in Baldwin I have no doubt I would use his services. In addition his disposition and genuine concern for animals truly places him above the rest. He is also at the cutting edge of technology in homeopathy and we are receiving products to maintain heath and general well being for our pets even though he lives so far away..AGAIN I STATE IF I WERE CLOSER THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT I WOULD USE HIS SERVICES...THANKS DR. JAUN, you have made an impact in our dogs and families lives and we love you.

Dr. Casillas, vet techs, and staff saved my little dogs life. I went to Dr. Casillas TLC animal hospital because my previous Vet (which shall remain nameless) did not notice that my little yorkie was going through a pseudo-pregnancy, he just wanted to take my money and perform the spay anyway. Of course I had no idea any of this going on until my dog had diarrhea for three days and then stopped eating a week after the spay surgery. I had no hope for my dog until Dr. Casillas explained to me EVERYTHING that was going on with my dog, (which the other vet never did. He would never even weigh any dog that I would bring in. I even told this other vet my dog was having diarrhea, he said there was nothing to worry about.) Dr. Casillas and staff saved my little dogs life. I will always be grateful.

I take all of my pets here and the quality of vet care is exceptional. I drive from corona to see dr. Casillas because he has always been honest and caring with my pets. He even took my dog to newport beach to perform knee surgery with an orthapedic vet on his day off !! They charged me half of what the vets out here were charging, and they kept him an extra 3 days and only charged me boarding fees! Sometimes the wait is long to see him but the office is always filled with happy owners and their pets, I take that as a good sign that they are doing something right here.

is one of the best, if not the best animal hospital there is in the San Gabriel Valley. I have been taking my dogs there for about 2 years now and I will not go anywhere else (even though we moved out of the area). They provide such great care to my animals, Dr. Casillas and the staff are extremely professional and compassionate. They are reasonably priced, not the cheapest but the service and quality of care is well worth the extra couple of dollars. Hands down this IS the place to take your animals when they need to be checked out.

My cat Sombra was attacked during Halloween night by an unknown animal she was really injured. When I took her to the vet I expected a couple of stiches if anything but she was diagnosed with a fever, infections in the wounds and new wounds which I didnt noticed because of her fur. The bill ended up for a roughly $1,600 but after talking about my income they helped saving my cat and my bill. I felt forced to wait untill it was Monday but all I can say is thank you TLC for what you have done and Ill never forget for what you have done.

My fiance and I have 2 cats and a dog...all of our animals have been taken care of by TLC since they were babies. We have had many procedures done and all of my animals are in very good health because of this hospital. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This hospital really cares about the well being of your pets and offers many options for care when needed. They are.extremely affordable compared to many other hospitals in the area. I recommend everyone I know who has a pet that needs a Dr.

My newest member to my Family, a Pitbull named Mercury... Became very ill, later I found out he was diagnosed with Parvo... I want to thank Dr. Juan and his staff of Technicians for the help I received to manage my puppies illness, at first my option was to have him put down, but thanks to the options available to me...Mercury is still here today... I can strongly say that " I will not have my dog treated any other place then TLC Animal Hospital." - Todd Miller

I just took my kitten COCO in and the doctor was awsome he helped me out since i was low on cash my kitten had ear mites and got it taken care of right away and now COCO is going to get her shots their as well I think this will be my set Vet for my pets. The doctor is very good and caring I highly recomend it to everyone. Thank you so much Dr. Juan Casillas and all the staff at Tender Loving Care Animal Hospital!!!
